- The Cavaliers drum corps from Illinois rehearsing at a middle school in Houston. The warm-up they are playing is the doxology "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow." Awesome sound!
I can just imagine bowing before Jesus on His throne with this playing in His court room with thousands times thousands of His redeemed people and our loved ones bowing together. The tears just stream, wow. Amén.
Beautifully said, brother. I can't wait to sing this with you and millions of His redeemed on that day!
Sounds like the Kingdom of God - absolutely majestic!
A moment in time. Since then, each of these boys have dispersed - and none of these boys will play in this group together ever again
Sounds like the Cavaliers.
There is something about the breath meeting the brass that makes me feel this is how the Doxology is supposed to sound
Also. Shirtless. The conductor just bare chested. Shirt off because it woulda gotten blown off anyway….
I'm having such a Methodist moment that I might cry. I just love this more than I can say!!!
I thought the same thing. So beautiful
Me, too!!!!!
That’s a born-again moment.
So Beautiful and as a former Methodist , I just wished they preached the Gospel but this music is heaven bound
Wow... my eyes just exploded with tears. Can you imagine being in that room?! Just beautiful and so powerful. Amazing!
The “God Frequency” will do it to ya! 🙏🏻💓💗💓💗🙏🏻
A lot of the comments here echo my feelings. The witness of the Holy Spirit in the heart of one who is born again can’t help but react to praise like that. I’m glad at least one man who was there to hear that mighty sound of worship for our God was moved to shout AMEN!! I would done the same.
Didn't catch the "amen" until you pointed it out. Couldn't agree more! Amen indeed!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise him all creatures here below. Praise him above ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Absolutely crushed this piece. Amazing work. You have no idea how often I return to this video to enjoy a few moments of bliss.
WhiteThreadChaplain AMEN!
Me too. Im gonna return to play organ after 1 and half year since covid at a church. I want to transcribe this and play it like that on organ and surprise them!
What a day it will be when we join friends and family in heaven and sing this together.
That arrangement was the most inspiring, brilliant version i have ever heard.
The fact the conductor is shirtless blesses me ! When David restored worship to Israel, He brought the Ark and set it up in a simple tent, not in an elaborate tabernacle. David took off the robes he was entitled to wear as King, and wore the clothes of a common man. His wife despised him in her heart because of his actions. Because of her actions , she was denied the possibility of bearing an heir to the throne. This act of humility on David's part points to the humility of the messiah. God, became a man . He stooped down to our level and identified with all men, even born in a stable. He can truly say, I have seen the misery of my people, I have heard them crying, I am concerned , I have come down . Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Praise him all creatures here below! Praise him above ye heavenly host! Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! AMEN !
Interesting analogy...
Love that someone says Amen at the end.
Amen to that quality sound!
I didn't hear that at first, so I turned my speakers up. Thanks for pointing that out.
Amen
What an absolute phenomenal sound. Growing up I always wondered what the doxology would sound like with just horns playing. And well all I can say is this is exactly what I thought it would be. KUDOS to the Cavaliers from one Australian Musician to others... You give me goose bumps and the hair on my neck stands up EVERY TIME I hear this played.
My marching band plays this piece as our warm-up!
I’m so used to hearing and playing this in G major as opposed to B major as in this case. It sure sounds stately, majestic and beautiful. I’d love to have this band playing the Doxology with me on the pipe organ, we’d tear it up! Ralph Vaughn Williams would be proud!
Bb major
Donna Warner came up to me back in the early 2004 I believe I was traveling throughout the United States in my motorhome and it came up to me, we were talkin about Drum Corps obviously. Cavaliers one of my all-time favorite Junior drum Coors and the only all-male remaining Drum Corps in United States today. Long live the Cavaliers, I am not really a big fan of the activity today like I was years ago, but I still respect the Cavaliers organization. God bless all present and past members.
Don Warner, may you rest in peace
That’s Don Warren.
Don founded The Cavaliers in 1948. I’m a proud alumnus.
Wow, that was.... I have no words. Wow
YES! Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!!!!!
Somebody's cutting onions in here.
Absolute chills, and I only heard one Amen from the room.
I love it, and Amen! As an organist, I always love playing the doxology after the Offertory! 😊🎹🎼
Outstanding...so acoustically inspiring ... let alone truth.
Magnificent! Ah, to have been in that room! Having been any many small rooms in recording studios, even 4 Or 5 horns playing beautifully together, can totally overwhelm you...the sheer power! The feeling in this room must have a been awesome! Thank you for this!
that's sooooo fine.... so gentle and yet so grand and exalting...
The most beautiful thing I have ever heard.
All praise be to the Almighty!
What a sound, absolutely powerful!!
thanks for the amen at the end
I've watched this the year it was first uploaded 6 years ago and now I'm watching it in 2020 and still gives me chills. Just cried and praised God for still being here in this pandemic. 👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
OH how great this is I am having tears of joy so WELL DONE
It is so good. Avon Marching band from Avon Indiana always plays this ON THE FIELD before every performance. It is one of my favorite pieces, and Avon's tradition is sacred.
I feel the Doxology is an important piece of framework for how we should understand the unfolding UAP/ UFO Phenomenon story. A topic now being discussed openly in the US Congress, with the question what will it mean for our faith. The Doxology has an answer. One of the oldest, most commonly played, well known hymns in all of Christianity. And if we look at the words, there is both an acknowledgment of something- and a rank ordering of things. Do we, creatures, understand the Heavenly Hosts of antiquity? Would the UAP not be considered Hosts in biblical times? And most importantly, Regardless, it’s God alone who sits atop the throne. That is the wisdom of the ages, distilled into 4 lines of hymn. Praise God. Amen.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY CAVALIERS!!!! ❤️💚🖤🤍❤️👏👏👏👏🤗🤗🤗🤗
So awesome! This gave me chills! Thank you so much!
There is a point where they sound like a pipe organ playing with all the stops out. Beautiful.
I do have a question, though. Why are some of them shirtless?
AMAZING!
Beautiful!
wish it was longer
I bet in that room's history, that is the highest decibel count it has experienced.
That was at Black Middle School bust hosted by waltrip High School i was there and at the end i was in tears
i bet you were ... I am in tears just listening to this powerful, massive, phenomenal sound !!!!!
ZERO3707 Holy crap. I went to Black MS and Waltrip HS. Learned to play trombone at Black more than 30 years ago and still play today. Im also active in drum corps today. What a small world!
Beautiful ❤
I will need this at my wedding please
That was magnificent
Tears!!! But why is the conductor shirtless?
This is at a high school. They probably have been using the football field to practice. They , mostly likely, came in to cool off. Some corps even stay overnight in high school gyms as they travel for competitions.
Amen!!!!
Well done!
Amen.
Praise thee Mr. Ware
goosebumps
Incredible - the new dictionary standard for "sonic awesomeness!" If only it had been recorded outdoors, to eliminate the echo... (hint...hint) :-)
+Greg Heilers I can live with the indoor echo. I just wish this was recorded on something other than an old phone. Imagine the awesomeness of this in HD. Epic chills.
As a choral nerd.. The acoustics are very pleasing to my ears.. Haha
Y'all better blow the bells off of those horns! BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess i'll have to ask the question ; why is he out of his shirt ?
They had been practicing outside
A tiny foretaste of what the trumpet sound on the Last Day will sound like.
YES.
Did the Cavaliers ever record this and more hymns?
wow.........
This was played at my cousin Abraham Lincolns funeral reenactment in 2015
But why is he not wearing a shirt?
Where are their shirts?
I just noticing....is the director wearng a shirt?
Why does that guy have no shirt on?
Reminds me of the end of VMI football games....
God bless our team and VMI!
is there a transcription of this anywhere? thanks
All those contras!
Why is he shirtless?
So no one's talking about why the conductor is shirtless?
I see.
Lol...I have been looking for this question & answer all over. I was wondering if I was the only one with that question!
+Molly Gormley This.
Plus, some of the players are not wearing shirts either. It's a drum corps thing.
If you notice a lot of them are shirtless...you not familiar with band camps and summer sessions
Besides it being a drum corp thing due to hours of practice in the hot sun, but it may also be that this has been their warm up song for a long time (like passed down), and maybe somewhere along the way, the meaning of this song was lost to them. Praise God that He takes us where we are.
Why’s the drum major shirtless?
Wow. Fucking wow.
lol, my name is Ben Ware Too!
Why exactly are they playing this?
Little warning for anyone who goes to see an indoor drum corps rehearsal. Wear ear protection. I marched 3 summers and you HAVE to wear it. It's just too loud
Sounds like the organ at the Crystal Cathedral.
Whoever can get me a score for this will get cookies sent to them. Seriously.

Oh no they played so loud his shirt flew away
Needs more contra
Sound like star wars 😂😁😁😁
Must be really hot in there.
Why is this shirtless hooligan directing this?
