Just found you today! So happy to find a crocheter who shows how to make things. I have been crocheting since I was 10 years old mostly blankets now I am making adult and toddler cardigan sweaters. I am 71 years old now so it is never to late to learn something new. You are very talented. 😊

I bought some of those bags from Dollar tree, except in black ! Now what am I going to do with them , flash , I’m going to use as liners for a body bag I’ve been wanting to make but never have the time ( for me ) every one else not me ! They’re in the making but I would like some good leather type or vinyls they use for bags ! I hadn’t thought of crocheting but may go buy more !

Here is the UA-camr I followed to make this pattern. I used a a bigger hook so mine came out larger which I like. The Gingy is on her site too but I will let you look for that. She has beautiful patterns and she walks you through everything

I have done something like this on thrift bags and then I crochet over the handles also so it's all the same colors... there are tons of bags at thrifts
Oh I love thrifting! Sometimes I buy purses that are in bad shape but their straps and hardware are excellent so I use them for my own bags that I make. I love Thrifting. Did I say that already?
Hey girl when you chain over to make the hole for your zipper when you get over to the chain to crochet don't do it in the chains do it over the chains and then scoot them over you don't have to worry about going into each chain
I have done that before, usually for like handles on baskets. I like the look of it in the chain though….Also I sometimes make a chain plus one row at the same time( I can’t remember the name of the stitch) but it was too involved to show for this tutorial. Thank you so much for the advice! Keep them coming. 😍
I liked this. But I was bothered by the bracelet sound. I still have that cough too. Maybe if I wasn't sick it would be OK.
I totally understand! I talk about that in my next tutorial that should be up by tonight. I want to make a little band or cut off a sock to put around my wrist when I record tutorials.
The only problem is that I have found these bags to be made with such cheap materials that after repeated zipping and unzipping that it usually falls apart quite easily. The dollar tree bag that is.

I feel like you skipped the whole part from after the first day ? I don’t understand how you got all the colors on there and how you started making the bag go up , I got terribly lost after that first day . That sucks
I would suggest NOT putting white at the opening as it will show the dirt easily. Also would use a Russing join whe. Changing colors
A knot can work out and not enough tail left to sew i.
