Im a 1984 baby and started muay thai at 20y.age, i became austrian champion in K-1 - 75Kg in 2015 and fougth some more fights that i lost on points, wich was very disapointing! Respect? Hari was an asshole that kicked downed fighters and fought regular people on the street minding their own business.

@LaZieGoblin I've taken a shot to the plexus, and more than one to the liver. And yeah, your body kind of forgets how to breathe.
I'm not saying Badr was a monster; he had moments of kindness to other fighters, but he also soccer-kicked downed opponents, and fought random folk on the street. All people are complicated, but Hari was an asshole, ultimately.

True story regarding Mr. Jack Dempsey. It was 1982 and i was on a field trip from western n.y. to n.y.c. for an event as a 14 yr old kid. Was the last kid in the line walking down the street when i heard a load sound to my right, when i looked up there it was the "one and only" Mr. Dempsey and he was so impressed that i immediately recognized him. The building he came out of was a pawn shop and he was there buying coins. He pulled out a beautiful 1888 silver dollar and gave it to me along with his autograph, our family home burned down in 83 so i lost the autograph but i still have the coin and it's one of my most prized possessions. Happy holiday to you and yours.

So he pretty much lost to any worthy opponent in the beginning of his career. Then won the rematches and proceeded to dominate. Evolved as a fighter, learning from his experience in both wins and losses. Fight game is nasty, anything can happen in a fight.

Was Badr Hari the most accurate heavyweight puncher of all-time? It seemed like he could land punches not just on the jaw, but specific places on the jaw to ensure the KO. He is one of the all-time best from the glory days of K1. The writing and narration of this vid are also first class.
