Save that engine!! The 2.5L Iron Duke is one of the most reliable engines ever built!!
Definitely 👍🏼👍🏼
6:41 Holy particles batman!
Those S10s are cool, nice find brotha
Thanks. Too bad it's so trashed.
55:58 That's the only matter with truck s cars from the north rust had couple these tiny engines ran ok just plastic cam pully
Yeah, the rust really destroys stuff up here. The ole Iron Duke has its flaws, but it's a good engine overall. 👍🏼
Awesome video brother, love the level of sketch in this one haha. Your channel name is #truth!!!!
Thanks, brother!! I appreciate it. Sketch level is dictated by project value lol :)
The clutch master & slave is not that expensive from Rock Auto. I replaced mine.
It’s a bear to work both master & slave into place, but can be done.
TIP: if you are going to bleed the clutch, the best way I found was to reverse-bleed by placing a fluid bottle down by the slave, attach hose to open slave bleeding nipple, then use your hand pump to draw the fluid UP through the master to the reservoir. 👍
That's a good tip on bleeding it. As for the parts... This truck just isn't worth it. I can't ever drive this thing, but I'll replace the parts when I pull the engine and trans to put in something else. It'll be a really easy job then :)
Jeep just everyone else parts
The leaf blower is actually a great idea. Gets all the big crap out of the way.
It definitely gets the job done. I use it after I wash a car, too. It helps 👍🏼👍🏼
The Topper, looks nice, that’s one thing.
The camera makes it look better than it is, but I'll find a good home for it 👍🏼
Sensor coolant check
looks like my 86 s 10. Sweet truck
They're cool trucks. Hard to find around here these days.
The rusted, broken piece you held down is an EGR valve…easy to replace.
I agree about the distributor cap location…it is a real bear to work on. Also, if you need to replace the coil, you have to fashion bracket out of the old one and bolt it to the new one. Plus, it’s is practically impossible to see…have to work on by feel.
Wow. That sounds like a mess. I wired the EGR down for now. One day I'll find something to use the engine in and fix that part then. 👍🏼
Hi brother New subscriber here great channel awesome video Can't wait for more content keep it coming dude ✌🏽✌🏽
Thank you!!! I'm buried in "life" stuff but I'll have some new things coming out pretty soon hopefully. Thanks for being here 👍🏼
The puddin sticker 👌🏻👌🏻 subscribed
Hell yeah!! Puddin's the best! 👊🏼👊🏼
@@HFG your a real one
The only reason to work on a Chevy is because you like pain and frustration and difficulty and cussing at engineers. Same thing when buying one.
Good luck with this one!
I just did some work on the clutch system in my S10 (Slave Cylinder) and can tell you the the entire clutch system in these are notorious for being difficult to bleed.
One tip is to have the front up a little as if it were on a set of ramps and that helps with the slave cylinder itself - You don't have to do that but it can help sometimes.
I did create a vid myself the other day on how to do this in a really simple way, so you can refer to the vid I created to see how I approached this problem and maybe it will help - Maybe not but it's there.
Once again, good luck and keep up the good work!
Thanks. I'll check out your video. 👍🏼
I have take 1 hand and do it just leave boot off shifter I did reach 1 hand there shifter boot came out good
Quite the find. Hopefully you can find a use for some of it at least. Be safe and stay well.
Thanks. I hope I can use the engine sometime too
Makes rusty ram look cherryish…….
Yeah! This one is a real gem. You can't find nice cars here
