I heard a version with this cadence a long time ago and it disappeared and I am SO HAPPY to have someone upload it again! Fantastic singing, and thank you so much for doing it! ^^
So pleased you’ve found it again! I wasn’t happy with them at the time but now they’ve been re-sing, they’re miles better. I was worried people wouldn’t find them, so it’s great to read comments like this! 😁
While Thorin did like this song, it made Bilbo depressed because of the warlike tone of the song. And given what happened later he was right in the war of the song.
I think it’s the moment he realised his values didn’t quite align with those of his comrades. I’m pleased I went for the war drum percussion on this one.
Wow! PJ should have hired you for The movie’s score. Awesome singing. I had imagined the Dwarves voices were kinda rough but you made it quite beautiful.
While I appreciate your work, the first part seems too low and subdued to the point of being mournful. In the books, from the context, it would be very triumphant and defiant
The best way to read The Hobbit, tanks for that
This is how I would imagine a perfect rendition of Gil-Galad's song! Your song versions are perfect, in tune with the book's feeling. Thank you!
I really appreciate that, thank you! So pleased you’re enjoying the music (:
I... love this. Amazing work!!!!!
Cheers Graham 😄

This is amazing I don't think I can properly express how much I'm loveing your versions of the songs

I am quite an eleven fellow, so struggle with those gravelly voices! 🤣
Thanks for the kind words (:
I actually didn't know how the melody sounded in the book. I googled "under the mountain dark and tall"
boss, thx dude!
You are most welcome, master Tacolad
Excellent job!😸👍👍💜
Thanks - such an honour, coming from Bofur himself!
Didn't original have a chorus version at the start?
Hmm... I don't think so. I just resang it in tune! The "ooooh"s at the start were a bit louder on the old version.
Runcible Spoon ok.
