- In this video I talk about my impressions of the Able Carry Max backpack after a four night trip last weekend. The bag performed admireably and it is safe to say it is one of the best minimal travel (larger EDC) backpacks on the market right now!

Lockable zips, we need more of those.
I don't live somewhere where it's important but I can definitely see the need for them generally.
It's an added deterrent to prying hands. I sometimes carry something blade, even if it's just a SAK, whenever I travel domestic that's why I need to check in. There was also a time when there were several reports of travelers not being able to get on their flights because something prohibited was found on their luggage (a bullet ffs). Most likely just an extortion scheme but *shrugs* I don't wanna go through that kind of hassle :D People started covering their luggage with cling wrap after that. Fortunately, those incidents don't happen anymore, afaik.
Lockable zips don't do anything against someone who wants into your back and has access to a ballpoint pen

One thing you missed: in the laptop compartment there’s this hidden zipper behind which is the framesheet and another hidden pocket.

That pop of blaze orange inside made this loadout very aesthetically pleasing. If I bought that bag now, I'd be kinda sad not seeing all of that orange inside. Lol

Looks like an awesome travel bag. And the price is amazing. I like the way you used the water bottle pocket, I think it makes sense. Better implemented than the MW Rhake and probably more versatile than Axiom.
All those pouches….so nice.
I still gotta try that Axiom! After hearing you rave about it I need to find one and give it a go!
If they made a daily version of this (like 18.5 in. length), I'd be all in.
I'm kinda with you. I like their Daypack too but find myself thinking how much I'd love a 20L version of this exact bag.
Man bro she can really carry alot of stuff! Love how she was packed out for chuseok! I got mine earlier this year and did not want to rotate it out.
It's really good, for sure. I can't really get it to work for my daily carry, just a bit big!
Love my Max and just took it as my main on a 7 day international trip...easy

Actually I liked the lighting. And dang, doesn't Dark Multicam and Xpac make nearly anything look good? BTW, was I the only one who saw the Grinch's profile front and center in the multicam pattern? It was that or a Sleestack... I am sure of it.
haha, I'm trying my best to not look now. If I see it I won't unsee it and then this bag will be compromised lol.
Does it catch dirt easily? Is it hard to clean if the cat hair sticks to it?

I currently I have GR1 21L. Great bag indeed but I would like to invest in a bigger bag.
My options right now would be i. GR2 34L ii. Able Carry Max and iii. Evergoods CPL28.
I have watched all your videos regarding these bags and have really like the build and feel of the GoRuck, however the price of the GR2 is insane. It's close to buying two bags.
Which one should I go for 🤔

@@colinmsmall If your EDC is largish, you will definitely get away with using this as an EDC bag. You'll appreciate the extra room when you need it.

Do they have an asian distributor or does it come from the U.S.? All my bags are either 5.11, Mystery Ranch or Vanquest but cannot find Goruck in the Philippines and i want one for rucking. It's really hard to beat this quality and this price. That is for sure. He's a bigger guy or?
@@jtinseoul7041 he’s skinny and about 5’10”. It’s this or a slick GR1, or maybe a RFF 24hr pack. I’ve been pouring over your reviews, and these seem to make a good choice for a College bound kid. Side note he just uses a duffle bag now. I saw a picture of him touring colleges with his parents and I almost cried!(about that hideous duffle).
This is definitely bigger than those other two choices and for sure the most feature rich. Plus he could use this for trips and stuff too more easily. I'd go with this I think although of course all good choices. Another great choice could be the dsptch Daypack although it would be definitely smaller than this.
Buy him this one. You won't regret it. Room for everything (trips, gym, etc) whilst still manageable as EDC. I'm a teacher and I keep coming back to this bag. It's so good I actually bought it twice, because the Earth Green colourway is more suited for school, and I use the MCB for gym, trips, hikes, etc.
Just so you all know, Able Carry doesn't pay for return shipping and there's a $10 restocking fee. The package ships from HK. So if you do returns, your package will be sent to their office in Oregon first and then sent to HK.
For a small company that doesn't operate out of the US, understandable.
What's the shipping like I love this bag but I'm not feeling the 14+ day shipping time

Thanks! The Technonaut is a little too expensive for my budget at the moment with what's coming up. Maybe if I can get a hold of one otherwise! It's a cool looking bag, especially in that Beaver Camo.
