I have the same colorway as your Max and I absolutely love the pack. The blue xpac is just a fantastic color and less tactical/ruck looking and I appreciated that from time to time. Comfort, materials, tech pocket, front angled pocket, hidden back pocket, water bottle pocket, and the side grab handle make it one of my all time favorite packs. I agree on the sternum strap...there is no way for the design to effectively store the strap but, it doesn't' bother me. The small side pocket I have relocated the key tether there so I use it for my keys and a small Tom Bihn pouch with my extra flash drives. That's it. I have several other packs including both of the new Carryology Mystery Ranch collaborations, and I honestly for daily use/office EDC prefer the Max to both the Dragon and the Unicorn. Keep up the great reviews.
Thanks for the love Steven! I share the same feelings - this pack is amazing. It could be my favorite 1 bag pack, it's just so well-designed and so fun to use.

Great linear review without bouncing all over the place. I continue to enjoy watching your content and the evolution of editing to your videos. Keep up the great work!
Nice looking bag. What I don't like is the fact that the clamshell opening is at the front, not the back. If I'm not at the hotel but somewhere on the road/outdoors I'd have to lay it down on its straps... where they might get wet/dirty etc. Thx for the review though!
Con No: 2 (That side pocket) A great compartment for your every day carry Multitool. All students & traveler carry one mate. It's a tool box in a pocket. Or writing utensils, extra cables, snacks? or that treasure map that you don't want people to know about.! Cowabunga.!
I think something to consider is no matter what side the pocket is on, you still have to use two hands to access it and get your gear. For example, when I swing the bag around I have to use my left hand to open the pocket, and can use either hand to grab my gear. While it might not be 100% ideal for a lefty (cuz you have to wear it on your right shoulder to access the pocket) I think it’s something you’d get used to very quickly. Just my two cents!
How is having so many lash points a con? Use if you want to, don't use if you don't. It just provides so much flexibility when one wants to use those points and are not restricted to only particular ones.
@@Nomads.Nationthe weight of it is frequently mentioned as a con. Though I have to mention you only really notice it if it's not fully packed (using it as an EDC for example). Once its fully packed it arguably feels "lighter" than packs that are actually lighter so I assume it was designed as a travel pack at *max* capacity ;)
@@LetsArion agreed it's slightly heavier on paper, but being worn is a different experience. I just got back from a 5 day trip to Seoul with this bag and it felt amazing (although I would have LOVED some load lifters on it personally)
You know I watched another guy, and I like his channel, he reviewed this as a comparison with the Pakt Travel Backpack... After that comparison, I thought I liked the Pakt better. I have now watched both of your videos, independently reviewing each backpack and, well, I think I like the Able Carry better now.

This bag put in some work on my last trip and was super comfortable. Now I need a smaller guy. Thanks for adding so much information on this journey. Was fun to figure out what I wanted. Cheers!
That side pocket where you tried to fit a hammer could be quite suitable for a travel umbrella. Or just stashing some small items on the go. A torch, multi tool, hand sanitizer bottle, deo spray bottle....
What travel backpack do you recommend that is only 1kg empty, 35 to 40L volume, within carry on size. And has load adjustment straps near the shoulders.
Great reviews just purchased this bag. Planning to use as one bag solution for work travel. Any recommendations on packing cubes that work well with this bag?
awesome to hear! Most packing cubes are pretty similar sized these days so you should be fine with any, I usually rotate between Peak Design and Aer (but double check the dimensions just to be sure)
Thanks for the comment Cole! I haven't tried the CPL28, but I can tell you that the Able Carry Max will be my next one-bag backpack cuz I'm so impressed with it
I've had a chance to try them both at a store and my thoughts are: CPL28 is lighter, not significant but noticeable. I like the feel of CPL28 straps. But I'm only 5'7 so it digs my lower back (CPL24 fits better at this point). CPL is minimalist and Max has more organisation. If you carry your laptop, I think CPL28 is better cause the sleeve covers the whole laptop and the ergonomic design works so well you don't feel carrying a laptop. You can even put your laptop (macbook pro, not thick laptop) with a separately sleeve, double protection! Max on other hand, laptop sleeve is quite tight even with macbook pro and not fully protection.
@@orbispictus6127 Thanks, I already decided the CPL is probably the better option for me overall. The digging is probably biggest concern. I have a CPL 24 and CHZ 22, no problem with the CPL; but the CHZ digs, but to be honest, it doesn't bother me, as it also carries heavy loads lightly.

Able carry makes returns very difficult. Minaal Carry On 3.0. Great load lifters on the shoulder straps and the laptop sleeve is modifiable and one of a kind. Able carry is def better than Arcido
@@Nomads.Nation Thanks a lot for this! Unfortunately it seems this bag is riddiculously expensive in Europe :( Could you say how much of an improvement is there over Able Carry? And is there any way to get it in Europe for under 350 Eur (can be used but nothing on ebay right now :c)?
@@Creeper99PL I'd say Minaal and Able Carry are equals - two of the best. But I have no idea how to get it into Europe at a better price :( Peak Design Travel Pack is another good option as well - I think their European prices might be cheaper and they sell used bags on their site.
Depends on the airline - each one has different policies. But as a rule of thumb I would say for larger/international planes, yes. For budget airlines, no

Backpacks this size don't always need a waist strap. Some people want it, others don't. It's a design choice by the company but it will certainly alienate some buyers
@@Nomads.Nation I understand, thank you so much for your great reviews! I am just wondering when fully packed with a large MBP, cables, drives, and clothes if it will be hard on the back or neck? I am a strong 5'9 female.
I have been using this backpack for 2 years, tough as a nail and will last for a long time. There is only one thing I don't like about it, this bag is too heavy.
"Quirky Urban" or "Qurban" hahaha...nice how you connect words Aaron 😁Love the bag because of it's simple look but have nice functionality and its durability...first of all I love bags with hidden water bottle feature on the side to avoid exposure to dirt and dust while carrying it outside, next, I think I kinda like the green color as it looks like an "army green" 😁, love new features like the key lash since its first time in bag reviews where you can decide whether to put in the safer side in the middle or the easy access at the side, overall I love the bag and it's "Canyon main compartment" 😁 i love lighter colors inside bags 💖 , and its secret pockets, maybe the smaller side pockets can be use to put your extra masks, sanitizers, eyeglass or sunglass maybe, but not for smaller wallets and cellphones 😊
Thanks Brenda - "Quirky Urban" was Tav's idea, so we just ran with it 😂. I'm really in love with this pack - in fact, if I was able to do a weekend trip, this is the pack I'd be most excited to take with me.
Showing off the features of a backpack without having a packing demo showing how much it can hold inside of the pack, renders the whole video useless. Anyone can look up features of a backpack online. The whole point of a video on youtube should be to show a realistic example of what the pack can realistically hold inside of it fully loaded.
Depends on many factors. But if it’s not freezing winter and you travel light and use compression packing cubes, a week no problem. If you are traveling in winter, and have a ton of other gear (photography, tech, boots, etc) then significantly less. But for me, I could travel on this bag for months no problemo

Could you recommend any other 30-40l pack for EDC that fits a 422x285x25mm laptop and is better for high loads while being that ki d of a tech backpack? (10-15kg every day) Is the Arcido Akra better for high loads or worse?
Hi - does the able carry max fit under the airplane seat in front of you?
Depends on the airline - each one has different policies. But as a rule of thumb I would say for larger/international planes, yes. For budget airlines, no
This Able Carry Max is heavier than The Peak Design 30 right ?
Not sure tbh, but they should be close
I think this is my bag. Tabletop gamer that goes to conventions and is looking to leave with a boatload of swag. That 30L will be filled
Bring on the swag!
Happy to watch this while i pretend to be in a virtual meeting, great job once again guys 👍
Ha! Happy to provide you some entertainment Pao! Thanks for the love :)
Aaron mate that's where I carry my shank in order to vanquish my foes
Totally makes sense
Will this be too big for office edc? 6'1
depends what you carry. Way too big for my EDC, but if you have a lot of gear then it will def work with your height
Does this still hold up as a solid travel bag?
oh yes, one of the best
i tried your link to purchase this BUT could NOT find better price:)
Our links make sure that you go directly to the distributor (as opposed to a 3rd party who's shipping/product quality we can't confirm)
@@Nomads.Nation you promised better price. when I clicked on your link, the price was same as what is quoted on their website. Hope you better understood my query:)
@@dualityofnature thanks for your query!
I am wondering why this bag does not offer a waist strap?
Backpacks this size don't always need a waist strap. Some people want it, others don't. It's a design choice by the company but it will certainly alienate some buyers
@@Nomads.Nation I understand, thank you so much for your great reviews! I am just wondering when fully packed with a large MBP, cables, drives, and clothes if it will be hard on the back or neck? I am a strong 5'9 female.
@@reneagavrilovstewart you'll be fine - this backpack is as comfy as it gets 💪🏼
I have been using this backpack for 2 years, tough as a nail and will last for a long time. There is only one thing I don't like about it, this bag is too heavy.
at nearly 4lbs it's def a bit heavy for the size
@@Nomads.Nation I agree with you 👍

Lash?! or Latch?
Or Lashtch?
I know quality, but the price is crazy.
Hey Pawel, agreed it can seem pricey, but you do get what you pay for. Premium materials, comfort and functionality. And it should last a lifetime 💪🏻
@@Nomads.Nation CPL24v2 or Able Carry Max?. What do you think, not taking into account the capacity.
@@0malchos0 not taking capacity into account - Able Carry Max 😎
"Where's my finger." That's what she said.... Michael Scott.
Classic 😂
Showing off the features of a backpack without having a packing demo showing how much it can hold inside of the pack, renders the whole video useless. Anyone can look up features of a backpack online. The whole point of a video on youtube should be to show a realistic example of what the pack can realistically hold inside of it fully loaded.
Great feedback!
@@Nomads.Nation thanks, sorry if I came off wrong in the original post. 👍🏻😊

How many days of clothes do you reckon this can carry as a travel bag?
Depends on many factors. But if it’s not freezing winter and you travel light and use compression packing cubes, a week no problem. If you are traveling in winter, and have a ton of other gear (photography, tech, boots, etc) then significantly less. But for me, I could travel on this bag for months no problemo
