    Thinking about getting one but I might like the simplicity of the Cordura option better. 👌

    16:05 My friend, you and I are mixed-handed! You might already know that, but I ALSO used to always say I was 'kind of left-handed' or that I wasn't actually ambidexterous before I learned about cross-dominance!

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  2 роки тому +2

      That's me completely. I do most things right handed, however things like bags and slings I carry left handed. I kick a rugby ball right footed, however I ride a skateboard/surfboard goofy with my right foot forward. I do a wee bit of boxing sparring and I have a southpaw stance, however my right hand is my strongest... but definitely don't consider myself as ambidextrous. I just thought it was a result of being dropped too many times as a baby 😆 Growing up in the 80s that was perfectly fine for parents to do

    I bought one in earth green secondhand, just arrived today. It does literally look brand new, not even the slightest loose strings anywhere.
    I took around the city going into buildings, for lunch, on the train, into the pub. For a 30l, whcih I never had before (always been a compact pack guy), it is very comfy albeit big on my 5'8" frame. But i think just a matter of getting used to it.
    Then this video popped up and boy am I glad I got this one.
    The candidates were
    1. This
    2. Aer travel pack 3 small
    3. Incase Via travel pack
    4. Black ember forge expandable
    5. Haimplanet transit travel pack

      Scott, I couldn't agree more. I'm a huge fan of military style bags as they have grab handles everywhere, however have an office safe pack like this, with grab handles all over for travelling is a God send. @@MoorlanderEDC For those who throw their bag into the front passenger seat, you want to grab it from whatever angle it's at. Bags with an extra handle are so easy to grab and drag. Not a huge deal, but one of those little things that you really appreciate in day to day use.

      100% agree. Also really useful for overhead luggage too on planes. Everybody always seems to be in a mad rush to get off, and your bags moved and you can't grab it. So much easier with packs like this

    Hi, for a couple of months i haven't be able to decide between Able Carry Max or GR1 26L, since the main compartment in this one is supposed to be 25L, in your real experience with both bags how does it feel the capacity? The amount of stuff it holds is similar enough or the Able Carry Max fits way less stuff?
    Sorry if my english is rubbish, is not my first language.
    Even if you're not able to answer my question I'll let you know that i've seen a lot of bags reviews and yours are one of the most useful/clear overall and that's helpful enough. Thank you, hope you keep doing good.

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Alejandro. I think the Max feels like it holds more. The Max way more organisation over the GR1. I guess it depends how you're using it. Box bags are great for travelling and EDC, however there's way more options on how to use the Max in day to day life. The main compartment may be 25ltrs however the laptop isn't in there, and other items can be store elsewhere so you're using other areas to help move your items around. The organisation can be used more intelligently, if that makes sense
      Also, your English is brilliant and something you should be proud of. The only way I'd be able to speak your first tongue would be with Google Translate.
      Thanks for watching my friend. I'd love to hear which pack you eventually go for

    Thanks for sharing your passion...I found about that bag too late but it fits most of my criteria at first sight...but having bought so many other bags from various company at all prices at that dont feel as complete (some i have not tested in the field yet) , i think this Able Carry Max would have been a very good investment...THis bag seems like the complete package...

      Well, i kinda was hoping you would say that :)
      Most happy to share.
      i found some stuff discounted online the Cabinzero miltary 44L (navy blue) for 63 euros both 28L and 36L were sadly out of stock at the time, it has very good straps and a lot of space since there is no divider...it is mostly one giant compartiment.
      I think the 28L can be enough for most people
      i have the Tropicfeel Cruiser backpack which is foldable for everyday carry and the sling bag Venturesafe X from Pacsafe which i really like. (it even fits my foldable backpack and my 12.4 samsung tablet)
      My last backpack is the Hedgren Keyed HMID07 which i have yet to take on a short trip 3 to 5 Days since it s only a 20L at most :/ but it has a clamshell design...and looks cool if i can fit everything i need (i found it in a shop around 75€)
      this is the one i am the most eager to travel with....
      My other backpack are less travell oriented. and more business (Tumi alpha bravo backpack)
      I have bought the Venture safe X24 (which is supposed to be a 24 L but it feels like a 15L bag and this thing is huge/heavy and makes me sweat easily....
      i am not sold on this one despite security features and it has a very peculiar look (which i like but not happy with the small capacity)
      I forgot...At Decathlon in France, i bought a FORCLAZ protective cover that serves both as a rain cover and protective cover that can be keylocked if you have to put your bag in the cargo airplane for instance.

    Amazing, thank you so much for this video. We always see bag reviews etc which are all great but 2 weeks of use doesnt justify spending this much on a bag (alot of things can go wrong after say a 3-6 months of use compared to the 2 weeks) But yeah the extensive use reviews are the most helpful. How tall are you if you dont mind me asking just so that i can get an idea for size comparison with myself

    Never heard of this bag before and it looks absolutely class. Shame it gets shipped from the US though as i also previously looked at the Vertx Gamut 2.0 but the shipping fees along with whatever tax fees they fancy adding on is normally extortionate. We need more UK firms like Tactree to start stocking this as they do 5.11 and Viktos etc. Great review again though mate, much appreciated!

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  3 роки тому +3

      100000% agree. My issue is when you do the USD to pound conversion you can buy a US bag for £200 from the US... But if you buy the same bag from the UK, its costs £350. I'd love a TAD Gear bag but they're nearly twice the price. I don't get why they double in price when they cross the Atlantic. If it helps buddy, use the Amazon app and change your location to the US. With the international trade agreement we can buy anything that's £135 or less and not have to pay import duties. Amazon will deliver most things from the US to the UK for next to nothing. I just bought a new watch from the US 50% less than it costs in the UK, and there was no postage or import duties. Its not even a weird loop hole. Amazon are more than happy with it. The app even tells you the postage and duties costs if it over £135... Peoe just don't know you can do it. Hope that helps buddy

    Great review of a great bag, I was torn between the Max and the Daily and eventually decided on the Daily, which I use everyday for work and love it, but I am really tempted still to get the Max, is it a waste having both? The import & shipping costs are putting me off as that takes it up to a hefty price here in the UK.

    Thanks for the review, it looks awesome. I don't think you mentioned the price. Was that a conscious decision?! Also, is this one that has to be imported from the US? As a UK reviewer, it would be helpful to mention price and whether there are any UK stockists. I have bought from the US before, but often get stung with import duties that add a significant amount! UPS tried to charge £50 for a wallet I bought from Trayvax!! Keep up the great content.

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  3 роки тому +2

      Hey Rob. That's a fair point. I completely forgot to mention the price. These are made and sold from Hong Kong at $260 USD (which I think is about £190). There's a postage calculator on their website that give the price for delivery. Now that we're on the international trade agreement tariffs, anything purchased from abroad that's £135 or less shouldn't have any import duties attached. Certainly a Trayvax wallet shouldn't have been charged for. Its definitely worth trying to claim that back if you have been charged. Or check Mukama.com... They're here in Europe so postage will be way less and quicker. I find Mukama is a gold mine for international stuff that's closer to home. Hope that helps my friend 👍 have a cracking week
