I had the pleasure of reading The Passage novels. While the show was okay it honestly should’ve been made into a movie trilogy. If you’ve read the novels then you’ll understand where I’m coming from because it left out so many characters from Peter, Theo, Alicia, Michael, Caleb. Not only that.. in the novel the virals actually glowed green and looked more monstrous. Patient Zero (Fanning) was the only viral who could take human form while he had his fangs he only converted back to this form after an indecent with water. All in all I truly enjoyed the novels I hope one day this can actually get into the right directors hands because it has so much potential to be a new great vampire trilogy.
Read the novels a few yrs back. Loved it. One of my favorite things about the series is how the writer intergraded vampire myths into the books in realistic ways.
@danielmontalvo6185 Exactly!! It didn’t even feel like a vampire book until I read further. The author did such a great job with the character development in the novels from before/after the outbreak to the virals. First and foremost they switched up Amy/the virals, Babcock was a man and not a woman who actually plays a HUGE role in the 2nd novel as well as Guilder/Lila/Grey. Anthony was nothing like how the author described him in the book, the characters AFTER the outbreak. A show with a storyline like all others that deal on disastrous vampire pandemic, is sure to suffer the same fate of ultimately getting canned because audiences eventually realize the circular nature of it: get bitten, transform, feed on victims, repeat. Just an idea: to put at the end of the recap if you consider the series/movie worth the watch
Dang! How did I miss this? This was SOO good.
A show with a storyline like all others that deal on disastrous vampire pandemic, is sure to suffer the same fate of ultimately getting canned because audiences eventually realize the circular nature of it: get bitten, transform, feed on victims, repeat. It goes on and on and on in circular mode. Only faces and circumstances change, but the process remains the same. Bram Stoker is rolling in the grave.
00:54 the Rock but without muscles😂
I started this show but never finished . I'm glad that I found your Chanel known I know what happened and how it ended 😊
That Martinez twist was incredible, good stuff here. I'm surprised I've never heard of this show before
I think I heard they were going to make a necroscope series. Is that still going to happen? It's pretty insane for a vampire series, or wamphyri or what have you.
I love that book Series!! I hope its true.
If anyone is wondering, The Passage is a book series by Justin Cronin… and it is VERY good. It’s a long read, you may need to go back and forth in chapters to understand better, but that makes it even better in my opinion. I urge everyone to check it out.
i will really watxh this one ! but oh man idk what it is but i find myself enjoying even more the recaps than the movie itself 😂 thank you !
i was half-listening to this while playing a game, and the amount of times i went "AGAIN??" when i heard "they were getting frisky" felt insane, even though it was only like 2-3 times 💀
for a post-apocalyptic show, there sure seems to be a lot of romance, kissing, and "getting frisky" lmao 😭
Thanks for the recap.. I couldn't watch the real show and always wondered how it ended..
Story is based on Justin Cronin's "The Passage." Incredible trilogy. ("THE Twelve;" "City of Mirroirs.")
The longest recap i have watched so far....and the most interesting as well
😂😂 right didn't felt long though
What a video! Thank you! 🙏
oh my god i feel so bad for amy. that would genuinely scar me for life..
the Amy and Brad were like father-daughter, was the best part and heartbreaking stimulator
Telepathic zombie vampires. What a combination.
fr they were definitely on some drugs when they wrote this
vampires have always been traditionally telepathic. but it was used mostly for seduction when dracula finds prey.
Thanks for the work
Great recap!! Please do more episodes!!
There won’t be another season to recap, this brilliance was canceled after the first season
@@msmichelej oh bummer.. Thank you for letting me know!!
@@stephandharley99 It was based on a book series, though, if you're also a reader.
@@OverdramaticAngel wow.. ok! Same name?
@@stephandharley99 I believe so. The wikipedia page for this show should lead to the book series too.
This had so much potential. If they had just stuck to the book storyline. I had to stop watching. I was losing my mind 😢
This show needed a second season.
I hate to be that guy... this is my first time being "that guy" but Please everyone do yourself a favor and READ THE BOOKS. WAY better than this. or get on audible and listen to the books theyre good. this story may as well be an entirely different series cause they deviate MASSIVLEY from the book. which is probably why it got cancelled.
That was a damm good recap. I have to watch this.
It's so stupid...why wouldn't they just get another orphan? Instead they make hundreds of people go after them.
This was so good! I’m sad it got discontinued :(
Oh I agree! I watched it every new episode, then was hella sad looking to see when s2 would come out just to find out they cancelled it. Like wtf?! It was such a great show!
We need a movie to end it at least 😭
Watched this after covid...and loved it.
Last of us, but vampires?……ok😭
it s sweet to save one hour for a movie that did not seem good but it sounds like i am listening to chat gpt xD
Sound familiar anyone?
What's the Name of this series ???
Is that the Jurassic Park scientist? Man, that guy has his hands in nothing but genetically modified anything’s... crazy..
Really enjoyed this recap
So they can genetically modify a virus to turn people into viruses but can't remove the weakness to UV light?😂
What the absolute F you mean 97 years later??? 97 yearssss?!?!?! Girl definitely became blade
2:49 she is from ginny and georgia lol
AT LEAST SOMEONE IS CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIDE AFTER SUFFERING THE ODDS
For the love of Christ.... put the damn name of the show in your title at the very least....
I honestly thought this was an 11-minute recap thinking "wow, that's some looong 11 minutes"
The books to this story are much better.
What's the name?
@@princejayvalentine9601 "The Passage" written by Justin Cronin.
they really said " lets not just have one cruel or tough minded person make the decision to kill all vampires regardless of aftermath". Literally insanity.
Amy crying over her mother destroys me every time. 😭
I watched this when it aired and was so mad I could cry when it was cancelled… felt the same way when Netflix dropped V-Wars after the one season 😤
So the shotgun proof vampires can be killed with a toy bow?
😂
I like how she just subclasses at the end because she got to max lvl😂😂
Scientists experiment on a 250 year old man and THIS was their biggest mistake ! (How to beat reference)
why do you want to beat reference?
all these videos are great, very well told... but would it to hard to include the name of the movie? this pisses me off
I used think the premise of the tv show"The Passage" (2019) "Scientist's proceedings forward with medical experiments despite risk of creating a vampire virus" was nonsensical. But even as you read this, the same scientists WHO THINK THERE'S A HIGH RISK
A.I COULD BE DANGEROUS TO HUMANITY (waitt for it).........ARE CURRENTLY BUILDING A.I''s!!!!!! 😂SMH
The first minute really made me think this is a SCP show
