*Spoilers* So to answer some people’s questions about the ‘why?’ I will try and keep it somewhat brief to not completely spoil everything….but from what I can recall, the basic premise is that the ‘Silos’ are actually controlled by a sort of ‘quasi-AI’ programme. The reasoning behind the projections in the suit are to give the participants a reason to clean the lense, because if they were to see that there was a wasteland they may not have the motivation to actually clean the lense for the Silos. And from what I can gather the reason for artifacts of the old world being forbidden is to quash the ‘hope’ of living outside for the Silo dwellers so that they want to stay and survive and then if/when they go out to clean they have this artificial revelation that the outside world is alive and they clean the lense and go to explore…but the suits are intentionally sabotaged so that they die ‘peacefully’ rather than trying to survive outside
Yeah. City of Ember did it better. A simpler story, told well. The basic premise of City of Ember is that people had to wait 300 years for the Earth to regenerate, but somewhere over that period of time, both the exit time and the box containing the instructions of what to do when the time came were lost and forgotten. It's been a lot longer than 300 years and the city is beginning to break down. Then a young girl finds the box, which has now automatically opened (via a timer both powered by and timed by atomic decay).

Puts me in mind of an old 2000AD "Future Shock" where a guy in a bunker insists that "Earth is a garden!", he goes out and... immediately dies to the radiation and chemicals left over even centuries after WW3.
It’s almost exactly like an old episode of X Minus One from 1955 called “universe” where an entire population live in a spaceship and are forbidden to question what is outside of the spaceship and two people try to get people to rise up question what is outside the ship. Instead of tremors there are mutant instances. In a sequel it’s revealed the outside world is filled with radiation.

If theres ground water shouldn't there be plants
Looks like a fairly decent series to watch. Lot's simalarities to PKD's Penultimate Truth.
Here, a short recap for those who do not want to waste 31 mins:
People in a silo, think everything may be bad outside
The camera in the front door shows all green and pretty
Woman goes out, no bodies outside, no green, all barren, maybe some more silos around, the end
Mind-blowing series 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
just wondering what is the name of this show or movie? Thamks
Its on the screen in the beginning “silo”
@@newcoolgamer5537 Thanks I must have just missed the beginning.
I didn't see it either. @@bambooman5826
It’s like Silos, or silo 7, it was on prime or peacock, one of the pay per view movie channels
