Ali, you Are the MAN! You've brought battery powered flight to a whole new level. Now get back in the shop and start building your first One Man Quad. You Can Do It...!!!
Am still alive and kicking with new Electric Paramotor This was an old prototype, check out the new one which is much better, more powerful and safer ua-cam.com/video/TpZbuFj5OzQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/_4972tpKlfg/v-deo.html
Seeing your other videos about FPV flight, and how much you enjoy it, it was logical for me that some day you'll wanted to see that amazing landscapes with your own eyes. No doubts, the skies are calling you my friend.
Im sure that if you use a larger prop 1,15-1,30cm with one motor and gearbox, you will have better efficiency, this is very important. About the batteries we are all waitting for more capacity, when the technology change you will be able to fly your paramotor for hours. Enjoy your flights and always fly safe.
Well done for your construction - Actually it is safer to be higher up than closer to the ground, specially if there is wind and small engine thrust. Very brave to have tried that engine out - Bravo !
Now I see why you have a prayer at the beginning of your videos! Now you really have an FPV of flying. You are lucky to have such a great flying place. I learned to paramotor in North Java from a football pitch on a ridge surrounded by power poles and trees!
Ali,i have been watching your vids for years now RCcars, planes and now drones, without leaving ever comments, but knowing your skills and passion,i knew you'd come up with a"manned craft'some day.............!!!great man!!!Time for a manned electric copter now!!!!!
I got into drones back in 2012 when you were doing alot of drone videos. I even emailed you about what I should get back then. Now I've done plenty of drone stuff, and I'm looking at getting a paramotor. And who do i find getting in on it a year before me? Ali again! Nice job man, glad to see you're pushing your limits.
Is there an emergency system on this? I would hate to be at 3000 feet and get an internal short in one of your battery packs and it overheat and catch on fire while strapped to your back. Is there an emergency cut away for the engine / batteries if you were to have an electrical fault?
it was a prototype. just to test the possibilities. definitely wasn't safe. So I built a pro version later. you can watch videos here ua-cam.com/video/wxwp9l_sgcQ/v-deo.html
All the best Alishan, been with your channel for so many years... now seeing you fly makes me feel so happy, although i dont have the means or the budget or the knowledge or the space, ... i m flying too in my mind seeing you fly everytime... coz thats my dream, just to fly away like a bird someday out out and away ... be safe and make more flying videos....:3
good start and way to go. Couple of points that i would like to share which others may have already mentioned 1. Props need to have a cage. 2. some quick release system in case of fire 3. relocate the props to avoid damage during bad landing and possibly avoid tangling of lines
Hey, from video, I think you acted very wise, and intelligently. Other than your own knowledge, and skills, you have to have a very credible instructor. I enjoyed this flight, immensly, Sir.
well im proably too late to ask this, but if you still have it or you remember, what type of battery did you use and how long did it last. I'm looking into building a version of this in which is either built around a small soapbox cart or a kind of modified kyak with wheels for getting to school faster and ect. Thanks-
Assalamualaikum Brother.I am a big fan of you.I am from Bangladesh. From my childhood I am doing scientific experiment about robotics, drone and under water craft. Now I am a student of mechanical engineering. But you know Bangladesh is not country likes your.Equipment are not available here.Financial problem is another thing. But I am not hopeless. Your video inspired me to go ahead on my path.there are so many people like this bt I like you most because of a muslim.I pray and hope one day we will conquer technology.Jajak Allah.
Most excellent. There are a number of valid comments about safety (like ParaglidingNut's) but still a cool experiment with obvious risks to only yourself that you were prepared to take. Driving carefully down the road can cost your life, still a popular thing, etc. As long as you're willing to break a leg or get cut you're fine. *My* expert opinion is: the Welding is going to fail first. As long as you're ready for it to breakup you're Steve Austin, we will rebuild you. Glad your enjoyment was worth the risk, to only yourself. Now you know you like it buy a quality Paramotor from a reputable Mfg. Renting was another option but you couldn't say you built your own. YT, Rob
Well glad to see you didn't need pov glasses or a transmitter to see what it feels like to fly , Since i paramotor i havent bothered with my RC stuff , only when it too cold to fly , Welcome to your new addiction , You can always get gas powered 80cc motor like a mini plane that weighs 40 lbs that will give you longer flight times and power over battery .
this was the first prototype. now i have a pro model that i have developed over the years. only 18kg of weight with everything ready to fly and crazy powerful thrust. just 2 - 3 steps, you can take off. check out the videos of e-glide v4 lite
A true pioneer in every sense of the word, just put some prop guards on please Ali we want your limbs one one piece for further adventures, not criticising just want you safe sir for your lovely family.
Do you have a 'Quick release' for the power backpack in the event of a Lipo fire, or some other malfunction so you can just dump the batteries/motors if needed?
Lipos do not catch fire easily under stress. They catch fire under catastrophic failure. I assume a fuel tank would also be problematic during catastrophic failure such as a fuel line leaking.
Awesome! I was wondering if anyone was R&Ding an electric paramotor! That was my first thought as well using batteries, is there an increased risk for fire? But when I think about it, could the risk from battery fire really be that much worse than the risk from carrying 2 gallons of fuel and a running combustion engine? Awesome!
This was an old prototype, check out the new one which is much better, more powerful and safer ua-cam.com/video/TpZbuFj5OzQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/_4972tpKlfg/v-deo.html been flying this one, even under hot weather of Dubai, 38+ degrees. never had issues with Lipos :)
Congratulations Ali!! İ like you very much! Go on with that.. Bravo my brother!! Keep in mind: When you turn into the tailwind, keep always more altitude giving most power when you're near ground. Keep in mind: As more altitude you have, as more safety you are.. Don't do tighten circles close to the ground unless you know the power of your backpack machine.. Soon you will get this out. And keep in mind: Always have a look of the wind direction and always land towards the wind. Wish you success with that powerglider and always have safe flights. Selamınaleyküm brother.
Aleykümselam Ali. Maybe you will start a revolution with electric PPG. Because the fuel powered machines are good but with lots negative side effects such as low lasting oil mixtures, engine noises engine care and maintenance, etc..Take care and go on brother.. waiting for more vids from you.. Greetings from Turkey.
Sorry for you that you can't find more time. Would it be possible to have specs of your equipement ? Battery type (Volts, C's, mAmp. etc...) motor (brand, volts, KV, weight, etc...) ESC (Amp, etc...) and maybe how you made your trigger ? Where you sure that all you components would fit together (no one is overheating) ?. Where are you selling it ? I hope you will find time again in the futur... and have fun to fly yourself.
Ali, that's one awesome invention to inspire...u r the best. i have been your fan since the time u used to review RedCat RC cars. all the best and keep chasing ur dreams.
cage cage cage without one that thing is a death trap
Flying using something you made yourself from RC parts, simply awesome and what a story to tell your grandchildren in years to come!
Well done! Oh and please don't forget to cage the props... It's a must!!
Own made items are really exciting!!! Alhamdulillah. I was seeing this video with my 9 years old child. Both are enjoying your build. Great man!
Thank you so much 😊
Ali, you Are the MAN! You've brought battery powered flight to a whole new level. Now get back in the shop and start building your first One Man Quad. You Can Do It...!!!
That was AWSOME!!!! ALL THE YEARS OF FLYING RC NOW YOU GET WHAT YOU AND HONESTLY EVERYONE WANTS TO FLY! CONGRATS YOU DESERVE IT! GOD BLESS
Cage them props up Ali
soon
jesus no kidding.
all he needs to do is cut a few cords and poof, no more Ali

alishanmao wheirs the link to new one that awesome 👏 you flew i remember my first flight
This is awesome! Looks like a great experience!
lmao I thought you were going to take off without sail 😂 awesomeness
Seeing your other videos about FPV flight, and how much you enjoy it, it was logical for me that some day you'll wanted to see that amazing landscapes with your own eyes. No doubts, the skies are calling you my friend.
You are awesome. 15 years ago I was a Paraglider pilot. I never thought some day we can use Electrical motors. I Like you and your channel.
You made that yourself, man you are the man!!!
And here we are 5 years later, and you were totally right about the batteries. :)
Very cool. I want to get one and attach it to my paddle board
from flying models to fly like a model your dream come true Ali Congratulations
Alhamdolillah yes :) a dream came true
Well done for your construction - Actually it is safer to be higher up than closer to the ground, specially if there is wind and small engine thrust. Very brave to have tried that engine out - Bravo !
an inventor has to try his invention :) Next time I will keep high
Now I see why you have a prayer at the beginning of your videos! Now you really have an FPV of flying. You are lucky to have such a great flying place. I learned to paramotor in North Java from a football pitch on a ridge surrounded by power poles and trees!

Yup its in the plans but need someone to invest for it :D
alishanmao you will find....!!Thanks for answering.
Very cool my friend! Welcome to powered flight!
You might just have revolutionized PPG! and you're just starting out. bravo zulu!
WELL DONE ALI. Very well done. Making the future, man.
Hahah i cant belive you talk about survival with those props spinning behind you like that. Safety man dont die.
Ahhhh, the early days! Wow you have come a long way since then man!
True. Still working on something even better and new :)
what kind of motors did you use? how much thrust does this thing have?
What are your PIDs? Do you have damped light enabled?
I need to read my brains for PIDs
+alishanmao enable Airmode so you can do some spilt s over some trees ;-)
big balls m8 well done
Great stuff Ali. Ma Sha Allah.
Ali, you are a serious inspiration man. Keep up the amazing work and innovation.
where we get this harness superb.
I got into drones back in 2012 when you were doing alot of drone videos. I even emailed you about what I should get back then.

What's to prevent your lines from getting into the prop? Or your hands?
it was a prototype. just to test the possibilities. definitely wasn't safe. So I built a pro version later.
you can watch videos here

No experiment is a failure if you can gain usable data. I like this. It really makes me want to get into the sport.
Great job for your first time. I am impressed.
Wow......Alishanmao.....you are transcending....
Watching your video from Fort Worth, Texas I subscribed
Mennyi lóerő a két motor? Az összes tolóerő mennyi?
"Excellent Creation" Very Good
awesome bud! I watched your videos for years and you've come very far! nice to see you doing what you love.
Hey, from video, I think you acted very wise, and intelligently. Other than your own knowledge, and skills, you have to have a very credible instructor. I enjoyed this flight, immensly, Sir.
what a beautiful human being , keep living brother
what motors and batterys did you use. esc. etc. maybe ill give it a try here in colombia
Aoa. Bravo so your dream came true. Congratulations.
AOA. Thanks bro
Ali, my congratulations! Very cool!
what a landing .... great video
Nice setup and fabrication.
GREAT WORK MAN!!! Yet again you have inspired me, thanks!!

The first time we do something is the one we will always remember and it goes from impossible to that was easy. Well done that was great to watch.
So whats to keep you from getting something in the props.....like your hand?
I tried but I can't bend my hands backward that much :D
oh
Most excellent.

Do you have the motors counter spinning to offset torque?
yes
Amazing! Now that's real fun

Rule #1: NEVER try to scratch your ass while flying this machine!
Other than Rule #1, AWESOME flight Ali... way to go brother!
actually you can scratch ass. :D
sweet that was a good one Ali love it hope to see more again
yes will do more flights and bring you videos
Awesome prototype, what motors/props and batteries are you using?
wow. now I wanna do that too. taking rc flight to the next level. proud of you bro.
Congrats! You are very brave and enjoyed watching you to success with your dream!!
Thanks buddy
So happy for you my friend, looks awesome
Take care guy. When yoy get confidence and starts to risk, is when the danger begins...
Fantastic Ali! Your inventive mind never is idle.
Idle mind is a dead mind buddy

how much kv rating is on those moter and the type of battery
you are great sir 👍
I love you💝
That was a truly electra-flying experience.
Well done indeed :) .
the cost of brushless is low at gasoline motor?
Congrats Ali!
thanks buddy
that is simply great.....but also looks like a tiny bit underpowered....still great and pollution free! :D
Will try 26 inch Props next time :)
You have the best videos. Thanks for posting
thanks buddy
Good job! Aviation pioneer!
That's really cool man!
it looks so peaceful up there cool
You're an inspiration! Thank you for sharing!

very funny and clever guy you are, like the working class
Keep it up! :)
So glad I found this. I've been thinking of building something similar. It works man! So f'ing cool.
4:38 un caged props. What could possibly go wrong?
Awesome video and vision come to life! Props man! pun very much intended.
Thanks buddy
Nice electric amputator!
Nice work brother... I like it!
Very impressive, man. You had a dream and a vision and you made it happen. That's so awesome.
Ali, that's one awesome invention to inspire...u r the best. i have been your fan since the time u used to review RedCat RC cars. all the best and keep chasing ur dreams.
Super cool! How about a max distance test?
you need to build some kind of cage to seperate you from the propellers in case of crash , do you have a reserve shoot ?
