THanks, we live off grid here in Hawaii and use EM. Was going to use a batch I made for our 80,000 gal pond. How much do you use in yours?

Dear World Awake TV, thanks for your comment, I usually use a 1:10,000 ratio. You may also use EM to make bokashi and bokashi mudballs, which are easier to distribute and settle on the bottom of the pond working on the sediments, this may be quite useful especially if there are fish in your pond... You may find the tutorial for EM mudballs on our channel, the ratio is 1 mudball per sq mt.

Very good video. Is the electronics you put in the galon a lamp? And another question is about the mother culture, do you produce it or buy it from an EM • 1 producer?

Hello Lucas! Thanks for your comment! There is a thermal regulator that heats and maintains heat inside the container at 35 degrees celsius. I bought the mother from Embio, an italian based EM producer, they are wonderfully passionate about what they do. But I only got one liter to get started with the initial culture, once they multiply you can go on forever to culture them, always leaving the amount necessary to use as mother for the next batch... hope this helps...

@@liladivineplay3855 I am very happy with your explanation, thank you. I imagined that the microorganisms died in 60 days, so it is possible to always keep them alive by activating in the culture with molasses. How long is it possible to store the activated EM?

@@lucash.oliveira2644 Hello Lucas! Glad it was useful. I store them pure for up to three months, once you dilute them with water you should use them within two or three days...

@@liladivineplay3855 HI! After the activation process. I should dilute the activated EM with water for using in the field. How much? 1 ounce per gallon?

Dear Drew, thanks for your comment. I bought them, you can look in any store that deals with fermentation equipment.

Nice video! Everything is in weight units, right? Just to clarify, cause it's easy to get confused and do all volumetric measures (i.e. 5. litres Molases, 5 litres EM mother and 90 litres of water)

Dear Portia, thanks for your comment, yes, everything is in weight units, I don't convert to volume it is not necessary. Good fermentation! :)

Dear Karshaka, thank you for your comment. We use a heater to keep temperature at 35 degrees centigrade needed for fermentation, we live in cold climate.

@@YounusNattika Dear Karshaka, no, they are not 'destroyed' or inactivated, they simply multiply better at 35 degrees celsius. Creating a selective environment for the type of bacteria we are trying to help reproduce and knowing the conditions in which they better develop is fundamental for fermentation processes.
