I like Chris Harris but I don't agree. 1) It looks fine. Rolls Royce are generally quite conservative and traditional, and this car looks conservative and stately. If you want to stand out, get the horrible looking Bentley Bentayga. 2) yes it is all about money. But the world runs on money and the more Rolls has, the more they can spend on other cool stuff. I recall Porsche execs saying that they were only able to afford the Carerra GT because of they money they got from the Cayenne.
I have been in the Cullinan a couple times and it's very nice, that being said I believe a Rolls should be a car, I just don't think it looks very posh pulling up in an SUV no matter how much it costs, and being chauffeured in one is even weirder if you are into that sort of thing. The Cullinan is basically for rich soccer moms to lord over the other soccer moms that were only able to afford Bentaygas, Range Rovers or G-Wagens. LOL
Chris Harris is great - probably my favourite car journalist/reviewer - both for his ability to convey the feeling of driving cars I can only dream of, and for the 'purity' of his reviews; no badge snobbery or pandering to powerful brands (quite the opposite). Of course, journalistic honesty is aided by working for a show that makes its money through global popularity rather than advertising - I hope Chris translates well!
At least there is a reason the Cybertruck looks the way it does. The use of stainless steel puts some restrictions on the type of shapes you can have, but brings other benefits. Plus many people like the way it looks. No such excuse for the Cullinan, though.

People always forget the history and heritage of Rolls Royce. Thanks for reminding that. But it looks like a Rolls Royce, stately and dominant with its huge grille and generally boxy design, not even half as ugly as you made it out to be.

Rolls could have just taken a Phantom, turned it into a wagon instead of a sedan, and raised the ride height 2-3 inches and been good. The Cullinan's grill seems to be lacking the imposing nature that comes with the grill on the Phantom. Also, good choice to use Holst's Jupiter suite for this review considering how big and heavy the Cullinan is.
My administration goes to the chemistry of the tires, keeping that thing on the road going around a sharp corner while at pace is in itself a remarkable achievement

There's another big problem with it as well... The Range Rover. If you're going to spend that kind of money on an SUV save 100k and get the Autobiography? It isn't loathsome to look at, it's still comfortable and quiet, has better off-road capability (for the momentously rare occasion that someone decides to do so), probably just as economic fuel wise (though that's not saying much I admit), and if you really care about it, it has a similar road presence about it.
I’ve never seen the Cullinan roasted so bad. Well done! The C Class also feels like just to make money. My family and I traded it for a 2016 E Class. Pure refinement!
