99.9% of the population would think that this video was sad, geeky and pathetic if they watched it...... But for those of us of a certain age, those of us who grew up and learned how to drive, really drive, using manual gearboxes, heel & toe-ing to rev match, no traction control except for our right foot, perhaps using a little bit of LFB and trail braking on the way in to a corner to tuck the nose in and unstick the rear slightly, from an age before Gastos and SPECs and ANPR and a 50mph limit for most of the M1. For those of us who grew up charging around on our Raleigh Grifters and BMX's making car noises in our heads, pretending to be Gilles Villeneuve or Henri Toivonen and played for hours on our Scalextric. For those of us who search for 1980's / early 1990's F1 / Le Mans / Touring Car / Rallying vids on UA-cam. For those of us who do indepth research into what tyres to buy for the wifes little run around instead of buying purely on price. For those of us who wouldn't look twice at the latest blinged up Ferrari Fandango FXXX-X-Rst- GTS Evo, but would practically wet ourselves with excitement at the sight of something like a Tickford Capri. For those of us who whilst trudging around the local Tescos on a Friday night, glide our shopping trolleys into a glorious arc of power oversteer out of the right-hand harpin between the chilled aisle and the bread area, marvelling at clipping the apex just perfectly by the Dolmeo special offers display. For those of us like that, this video is pure nirvana. Thanks you Chris. You are one of us.

When is the extended ‘uncut’ version of this video gonna be released?
Even after 5 years, Chris is still on point with these cars.. I think he shares my view point perfectly. And I don’t think I’m the only one.
I want to see a 20 minute video of each and every car in there. Wow.
UA-cam recommendation, I loved it. The child-like enthusiasm was shared. I'm not so hell bent on the current pomp & circumstance auto design. Some is exceptional, but these were works of art.
This is the greatest car collection, review and clip ever. Got to admire the enthusiasm of Chris and at the same time envy him for being so close to so many amazing classic cars that will truly forever remain GOATs. This needs its own show many of us young people want to discover forgotten classics and understand the evolution of cars before it all goes electric and Chris does it so well!
When Chris said "why not get a tent in here and stay" I felt that 🤩
*goes straight to autotrader to look at collapsed bolsters on E60 M5's*
And was Chris right?
but that car is amazing
I never, ever get tired of watching Chris love cars.
Harris is turning into Harry with that beard
lol nice one. I'd love to see Harris and Harry doing another collab. I think the last time they did it was back when Harris' still in EVO magazine
No he looks like Trevor from GTA V😂
They would probably have better chemistry than the others.
Chris.....please do another one of these mate, but do a full length version. We loved it. Could have watched you digging around in these beauties all day.
It;s so amazing that all of these old school, super rare spec'd cars are all under one roof. Speechless.....
Legend says that even today you can find Chris sleeping peacefully in one of those cars, smiling happy as a baby.
Yeah he probably awoke on the auction block when the gavel came down
I lost track of time and my life watching this...I was transported into a dream car paradox... like another dimension that wasn’t real. I hope the owner opens up the garage for tours... 😍
I come here and watch this every couple of months. I could watch Chris being this enthusiastic about cars for hours on end.
I’m a grown man who actually gasped when he saw that Renault 5 Turbo 2. Stunning.
My Apple Watch gave me a notification for an irregular heart beat when I saw it, pure artistry on wheels.
Was my absolute dream to have a silver Renault 5 turbo as a kid. Here I am 20 odd years later driving a silver Ford S Max 😓
Dan James I had the R5 GT Turbo when I was a lad, oh the highs and lows were massive. Also now drive a smart ForTwo 😭 reality... 🙈
He says, ’He had no idea what the folks at the Renault were smoking when they were designing the R5, but he wants some of whatever that was). LOL! Count me in too.
Ha ha ha 😂 me too man, I was like....loooook at it
Chris, your enthusiasm for cars is infectious as always. Keep being the best presenter out there.
Please More content like this!!!!! The old Chris Harris is back! Its so hard to choose a favorite. That 5.7 e31 alpina and the r129 amg wow, wow, wow. The w123 amg I never knew existed. Some seriously cool mercs in this collection as well.
This might very well be my favorite car-related video ever. Never get tired of watching it. Chris' enthusiasm is palpable
Frazer Guest Absolutely spot on. 👍🏻
Frazer Guest Absolutely!!!!
Wow hahahah
I feel like theres a shortage of journalists out there that appreciate cars of this era. This video really hit a spot deep in my heart. Its been a while since I have been so pumped up by a car video. wow.
I'm a gen Z, most of these cars are older than me yet I love these manual cars, these cars had something special that like Chris says we will never get in Electric cars
i just love how passionate he is, this is captivating
real sign of a car person, covers hands w/ sweater before putting hands on car.
that and not closing the bezel-free door by the window you filthy swines out there.
I'm guilty of doing this. I try not to, but I just forgot sometimes and close it by the window #nameandshame
Nothing shows the passion and respect this man has for cars more than seeing him pull his sleeves down before touching the paintwork, an automotive gentleman! Someone give him his own show.
BBC delivering the content here
being an V12 750iL E38 owner, as soon as i saw the seatbelts, wiper stalk, headrests, B pillar, and raised bolsters of the sport contour seats of the Alpina 6.0 i jumped for joy. "how many cylinders is that?" TWELVE, TWELVE! please share some of your experience driving it, footage is there but it's scarce and i've seen whatever is online.
You've got one my dream cars, take good care of it :)
redid all the gaskets, full ignition system rebuild, all new vac hoses, full suspension rebuild, and facelift. just needs dings and chips removed and it'll be perfect!
@@supra1722 Awesome!!
i think this might be my favourite car video on youtube
ElitePioneer watch JP Performance visiting bmw Museum or Nissan Museum.
The Nissan Museum was an awesome video. Even if it is in German
Chris, that is the best collection l have ever seen. No surprises that you were overwhelmed. I could live there too. Amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us.
