law wasnt the route I was planning to take when I first subscribed to you but it's part of the reason why I plan to go into law school into a couple years now. We'll see how that goes
Because of your videos, I could finally say: "YES! I WILL STUDY LAW, DEAL WITH IT", to my parents. They wanted me to go to medical school and at first (I got the grades for it, thankfully, for being an-introverted-nose-in-books type of a guy), I was like 50/50, so I said fine but then for almost a year I was thinking about myself and what I want to become (also stumbled upon your vids), even if it will be hard to get a job at first.
I'll start law school in October and I'm already preparing myself with law memes. "Justice will be served!" and "I'll be the judge of that!".

Lotte Cooper it’s a very intense year! There are seven core modules for law so the GDL only teaches those whereas the full three year LLB also allows students to pick electives.

I'm 24, with 2 kids under 3 working in a law firm as a trainee solicitor. I have my bachelor's I'm on maternity leave and trying to get on the LPC or the SQE while on mat leave because ya girl wants to qualify. I considered starting a blog 😂 but it's just chaos, also have a dog, 3 cats and some reptiles. Couldn't make it up if I tried 😂 this video was super helpful :)

Would you ever do a video with a BPTC/pupillage student to compare experiences and what the career differences are? I think it’d be really helpful for law students to see a representation of both sides of the career which people rarely see (especially bar students, there is very little online!!!)

Undergrad - approx 8K usd per year (unless you're international and in a specific program)
Master's - approx 41k USD per year (2 years)
LPC bristol / London (13k - 15k GBP) - 16-19k USD
Tl;Dr - school is expensive.

On the note of funding - student finance is available on the LLM LPC but not on the straight LPC and only up to £10,000 (I think). I self fund mine at BPP in Birmingham and it’s £12,350 for the entire course.
When it comes to self-funding, the qualification expires after 5 years so it’s good to be wary of that.
However, it’s 2019 and there are now so many ways of qualifying outside of the conventional route (i.e. CILEX cross qualification or experience-based) anyway.

wow this was interesting as a law student! in australia the bachelor of laws is 4 years and then our course is called a PLT (practical legal training), 1 year! proud of you!!!!

I completely agree that you can burn out without really REALISING it yourself. It's currently summer holidays (in Sweden anyway) and since I take the International Baccalaureate I have about 7 weeks to prepare for my final year of high school before I take these major final exams next May which determine my whole future (yay!). So I've been setting myself tasks every week, as I have 3 essays due when school starts and I also want to do some extra revision. But let me tell you this- it is HARD. I spent the whole of yesterday filing documents and then felt super guilty for taking most of today off because I was so tired. Weird how your brain can make you feel so pressured and guilty about taking care of yourself, so we'll see what happens...!
