    Instead of doing a basic q&a sitting in front of the camera by yourself and answering comments, this format that you chose was so much fun and educating. Having other students as well as yourself, interviewing them on the same questions and intercutting the answers is a brilliant way to turn a boring video into fun. Im a 24 year old grad student that has nothing to do with law and enjoyed every bit of it. Good job!

    To those following the NESPRESSO campaign on Instagram.
    We fought our hardest, we sent all the messages we could (as far as i'm aware, 30+ messages, u guys are INSANE), however, it looks like Nespresso don't currently see the importance in supporting life-long coffee STANS such as me.
    Thank you to everyone that helped me rally the cries for coffee, the #Nespresso4Eve campaign went on late into the night. We shall try again in the future, perhaps when we have a bigger voice. Eve. 🙏 😔

    You brave, hard-working girls. It's legitimately interesting to have the whole thing explained, especially with the added stories for spice. I'm amazed you and your friends alike would still so readily answer their recommendation for law, having just went through the final gauntlet. I do see the point of it though, that the humanities are in many ways interconnected and the study of them produces a number of transferable skills. That's a good enough reason to study most subjects, from an academic point of view. And everyone's got career plans too, bravo.

    im a first year who's currently studying software engineering at university but i've always had an interest in law. in school, i excelled at humanities and enjoyed doing writing based subjects but i ended up picking a software engineering degree. i was scared i wasn't smart enough for law, and went for the something that seemed better in terms of job prospects. now im halfway through my first semester ever at uni, doing a degree that i know isn't for me, but watching your videos (and my own research) has given me strength to transfer at the end of my first year. i cant thank you enough for that

    It genuinely amazes me how educational systems differ all over the world. In our country, we finish high school at the age of 19/20 and if you want to become a lawyer, you have to study for SIX years. So you leave college at the age of 26 :D These lovely girls are in their final year at such a young age. :D

      Why can't you? In Belgium it already takes 6 years to become a lawyer (I'm assuming its more or less the same in canada & the usa), do they really expect you to study 6 more years at 21?

    • @madelynpaige8111
      @madelynpaige8111 4 роки тому +2

      WHY IS GAMORA?! In the US and I believe Canada, you have to get a bachelors degree and even possibly a masters if you so desire before even applying to law school and then it is 3 years of law school.

      the bigger subjects seemed to be better done. honestly the languages department was just unorganised, confusing, and the lecturers didnt seem to care (plus there was no flexibility on modules.) I gotta say though my offer was BBC which is really low- if the offer for economics and politics is higher then it may be a higher quality course, so you should look around the uni to check. the other thing was that i really hated the accomodation lol

  • @megansimpson4825
    @megansimpson4825 6 років тому

    I need some help? I’m honestly having a mini meltdown because every time I become pretty certain on a subject I want to pursue, I end up seeing other things and changing my mind. I was fairly certain I wanted to pursue psychology, but I was still interested in theatre and drama and music and considering them, but now I’ve also started considering law. I’m passionate about all of these things, I’m considered a ‘social justice warrior’ in school and love debating and human behaviour and criminology. My confidence is also rooted in my love for performing and theatre, and I love singing so much. Theatre is something I’ve wanted to do my entire life but as I’ve developed into myself more, the more academic, political side of me has developed and also become a core part of who I am. I’m struggling with what to pick for A levels because of my wide variety of interests and the fact most people only pick 3, and the place I want to go to does a maximum of 4. I’ve done psychology, and citizenship, both of which I achieved very high grades in (A*’s), and I also achieved high grades in drama (though not as high as those). I’ve done taster sessions for A level English language, sociology and psychology- which I enjoyed thoroughly. I’m gathering if I want to go the psychology route, biology would be a good option, because though it isn’t as deep of a passion as other subjects I still enjoy it and psychology is a science. However if I want to do law, English language would probably be more useful and it interests me more. And drama doesn’t tie into any of these. If anyone has any advice, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks!

    This video was so helpful, your channel is basically so helpful and funny. I'll be studying law in sept and as a french student your videos are so good. I just have a question, I got scared with the number of hours you guys work during the day, do you thinks it's possible to have a job and still be able to go through law school ?

    I really want to do law now! For so long, I wanted to go down the sciencey path but recently I've changed my mind and I'm super interested in law.I've been watching your videos for a while now, even when I had no interest in doing law.I hope to study law at Bristol bc I live in Bristol and it is supposed to be one of the best law schools!

    This was sooooo helpful!! I'm considering studying law myself but I'm not sure if I'd like to study in the UK. I went to the IB, loved having English as my academic language but I'm afraid that if I study law in the UK I'll not have the chance to live in any other country after that. Do you have any advice concerning that? Can I study English law (intitially) and not live in England?

    Right now ive just finished my as levels (History, Geography, Maths and Economics) and im so lost as to what path to take. Ive always been interested in law especially law and criminology but im not a highly academic student and dont think i would be able to deal with the workload so might go into business instead. What do you reckon i should do? x

      They are pretty academic A-Level subjects! I really recommend law because it leaves you with such open options, you can really go into anything after Law. It's also pretty highly respected as a degree, so if you are looking for graduate positions it can really work in your favour. I would recommend you go for law, and then in second/third year when you can choose optional modules you specialise more in the criminology side. You can also take 'open-units' at Bristol, so I had the opportunity to take non-law options, such as business, so even if you are interested in Business, you can still study that in your degree!

      Thebosss 12345 Do. Law. DO WHAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN!!! You might not be “academic” in the subjects that aren’t so interesting, but I think you’ll kick up one you get into a subject you’ve always liked.

    9:52 this is a real thing for non-law student as well sadly 😂😂. Most of the times other students freak me out because it looks like they're working harder but sometimes they're not and I'm just freaking out over nothing and then I get a better mark because they just DUM

    When they started talking about the hours they worked I lowkey got terrified, but thinking about it it's not that different from how many hours I spend at school and studying at home
    also I'm assuming they included lectures and stuff within those hours

    Is law relatively one of the more demanding degrees to do? In terms of work and effort needed. I'm just worried because I like to procrastinate. A lot.

    What made you want to study law initially? Xx

    • @EveCornwellChannel
      @EveCornwellChannel  6 років тому +6

      i've always been really interested in humanities and debating at school, so for me it was the best of both worlds, like a good middle ground. Since starting uni has made me realise that you can completely specify your law degree how you want, and take options that you personally enjoy. For example, in my final year, 5/6 of my modules were completely optional, so I had loads of free reign to decide what i wanted to spend my time on - which was really good
