Which metal polish you used to polish the lure to give it a chrome finish? Also, do you think the metal polish would give a gold colored foil the same shiny finish as well?
I used a metal polish wax from a Dutch company called HBN. I think that you will actually get the same result with the golden colored foil, you can always stick a test piece on your workbench or something and try to polish that to see if you get the desired results 👌

After application, do you clear coat after polishing?
After polishing I make sure there is no polishing residue left by using a tiny bit of alcohol on a clot and clean it. After that I just paint it first and then apply clear coat 👍😊
I have the aluminium foil but it has no backing paper but has strong adhesive! Is there a way that I can still use it to foil lures? Enjoying everyone of your videos and always learn something. Take care my friend 👍😷👍🏴
Thank you my friend! You can absolutely use that foil too, it might be easier to put the foil directly on the lure on the sides and then take a scissors to cut off the rest. Then is you want a perfectly smooth surface you can clearcoat it once first before painting 👌

where to get stencil from for making scale finish,thank's good vid.
In this video I was using a stencil cut out from a simple mosquito netting, It should be easy to come by 👊

Thats the type of tape used for furnace pipes. Or around the furnace plenum.
Indeed and also used in ventilation, air conditioning and few more branches where heat and cold resistance is of importance 👌

If you fish that bait very much that foil job will likely de-laminate.
You missed a few key steps in the application process.👎
Never had that problem because they get finished with 3 coats of a high quality epoxy 👍. And These are used for pike fishing in Sweden, no freshwater fish that does more damage to a lure then pike or musky 😉 quality and durability not only depends on the foil job itself but also on the quality of your finish 👍
except that's not regular aluminum foil. its HVAC hi-temp foil tape. at least know what the materials that you're using are before giving an instructional video.
Not exactly mate 😉 "aluminum tape" can be used in many different branches and applications. It is although almost the same product everywere as long it is the regular variant of aluminum tape. I called it regular aluminium tape in the video and in the description, if you buy ANY kind of regular aluminium tape from ANY kind of store for ANY kind of application you will get the same product. There is also refrigeration tape and is similar to HVAC tape, which holds better in low temperatures, but that does not appy for a lure, Just as the heat resistance of the tape does not apply for lure painting. The result with any kind of regular aluminium tape will be the same at the end. You also have other kind of tapes like Shielding tapes, FSK system tape and alumium duct tape, but these all have different textures and anyone can see that. There is no way you can be misguided with this information.
