For anyone who doesn't know, the involved shared that, as Mr.MightyMouse went into last attempt on Bowser, GDQ org told them, that it's his *last possible attempt* (since run went over estimate), and then they would have to cut it, which, and i want to emphasize it, there is no wrong on their side, GDQ runs on a very tight schedule with hundreds of runners and hundreds of thousands viewers waiting for certain games/speedrunners. I thought i'd share this, just cause this little bit of knowledge makes this already incredibly impressive run into a legendary. Succeeding on doing 100% of incredibly challenging Grand Poo World 3 basically at last minute - what a champion Mr.MightyMouse is. And of course all the love for the Barb for making it and to GPB for entertaining commentary. One of the best runs on GDQ!

And he could've died in that final attempt a few times, some very close calls. GG to him, that must not have been easy to do in front a of a big crowd and with the pressure of a time limit.

The level at 1:18, he doesn't die. The world map doesn't reappear. Plus you make Mario hold onto what ever, no way he dies. Meaning you could do a deathless run. Not to mention, there is getting hit and then there is actual death. You're supposed to get hit, if you arent in the right spot, then you do die.
The soundtrack to this is such a great compilation of different game OSTs. I thought he might have been of fan of world's greatest flyweight MMA fighter Demetrius Johnson also known as "Might Mouse".
