Skyrim: Top 5 Evil Things You Can Do and May Have Missed in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (Part 3)

- Skyrim is a game that greatly pushes the player in the direction of being hero. From saving to world to leading its factions, The Elder Scrolls 5 certainly makes you feel like quite the benevolent protagonist. However, Skyrim does occasionally offer the Dragon a once-in-awhile opportunity to become the bad guy and embrace an inner evildoer. Sure, being the hero is fun, but sometimes siding with the villains can pay off in a special kind of way and be particularly entertaining. So today, we’ll be taking a look at five more evil things you can do and may have missed in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
I had Serana with me when I found Valdr. Being Serana, the first thing she did when we went in the cave to handle the bear was turn Valdr's recently butchered friends into zombies... Valdr didn't say anything but man did I feel bad lol
"but man did I feel bad" dude I'm CACKLING
Something similar that she did in one of my old games was this one time when we were travelling through the mountain passes and found the stray dog under attack by some wolves. After saving the dog, he followed us along. Just through the pass we came across that one dungeon with the rich girl and her caretaker outside, the girl wanting to be an adventurer and working up the courage to go into the dungeon for the treasure (the dungeon and characters' names escape me at the moment). So our large party go in for the dungeon crawl. Myself, Serana, the girl, her aid, and the loyal Stray Dog. All is going well as we're clearing the dungeon without issue, right up until we come face to face with the Deathlord boss of the dungeon and the last batch of draugr defending him. Before charging in, I planned on softening the Deathlord up with my fire breath shout, and so charge up all three words of it (further enhanced by Paarthurnax, no less) and let it fly...precisely at the exact moment another draugr blindsides me with a power attack. I stagger and send the fully charged, enhanced fire breath shout off target...directly into the Stray Dog who had seen me engaging the Deathlord and leapt into action to back me up. The poor mutt takes the full force of the hit and gets splattered against the dungeon wall, instantly dead and on fire. As I scream out "no!", Serana decides it's the appropriate course of action to revive the dead dog into a zombie dog. Granted a second unlife, the loyal mutt resumes the attack on the Deathlord, only to take a single hit by his weapon and instantly die *again*, dissolving into dust. As I watch in horror with a loud scream of "no!", the game decides to add salt on the wound and autosaves...*8 times*, effectively wiping away all pre-dungeon autosaves. My last regular save was at the end of my previous session, a full six hours of adventuring and questing ago. I had no choice but to move on and carry the memory of the noble mutt who was with me a grand total of twenty minutes and died for me twice in the process.
Dude what an arc, idk if I should be laughing

I always feel sad and bad when I kill Vittoria. The poor girl just wanted to have a nice marriage, she even gave praise to both sides of the civil war. She comes off as such a nice person, but you're there just to kill her
This is Skyrim, not Disney. Any and all do-gooders are considered for martyrdom.
And any and all evil pricks are considered for the Soul Cairn.
(I'm looking at you Nazeem.)
@@cyrenanorris5397 no matter how you twist it, she didn't deserve it.
Yeah, I really liked Vitoria, especially after talking to her at the Thalmor party in the main questline. She is one of the reasons I've never played the Dark Brotherhood questline. And because I didn't appreciate Astrid's little murder game to manipulate me into joining (even if getting kidnapped in my sleep was a really cool twist I will never forget)
I myself don’t really mind it I usually complete the dark brotherhood then buy the house across from Victoria, and then I take all of her potions that were in her house. It’s actually really good money for the potions.
Does the wedding still happen if you decide to destroy the Brotherhood? Don't get me wrong, that quest is one of my favourites in the game, but it'd be nice if Vittoria would decide to invite the DB to her wedding because she thinks you're important and wants you there.
All the best things in Skyrim are evil. Like the dark brotherhood, thieves guild, killing any npcs that annoy you. Not going to mention any names but he does go to the cloud distract.

I don't even like picking the rude dialogue option in a dialogue tree because I don't want to hurt the NPC's feelings. I swear, us humans can pair bond with anything.
This is every Dark Brotherhood playthrough I attempt. It's a shame too, I hear the questline is pretty good.

killed “The Mournful Giant” that was mourning the loss of his mammoth, that had died by falling into a hot springs pool. After the kill I leveled up to level 80 and I was licking my chops, that I could now face the Ebony Warrior. But then guilt overridden my bloodlust at such a dishonorable and shameful act, killing this non hostile gentle giant; who was mourning the loss of his beloved mammoth.
So I loaded a save and spent time standing next to him, sharing my support for his loss. It took me another couple hours to level up again so I could get to level 80, but this time with a clean conscience.
Also the way he looked down at me, it was like he was saying ”Thanks bro for standing by my side” ….. We shared an understanding in silence.
*This is so wholesome...*
@@weirdlookindoll this Is so sad can we hit despacito
Awwwwww. See this is what Skyrim is all out.
True Dragonborn?
Not likely. Giants don’t give much xp per kill and if you reloaded and were using the same skill then It wouldn’t take you a couple more hours to level up. You just thought up this shit in 5 minutes
I do not consider murdering Silas to be evil. Actually, I think murdering him will prevent another Oblivion crisis some eras away.
Exactly! I saw him as less awkward fanboy and more ticking time bomb. He's such a huge fan of the people who tried to surrender the world to a daedra - what's to say he won't try to finish the job? Or just get tricked into it?
I like da razor. Merhunes Dagon would look better with a beard. And it’s pretty strong.

Imagine how evil it would be to soul trap the Old Orc. All he wants is someone to provide a ticket to his afterlife and when finally meets that person they toss him in the Soul Cairn.

Yeah, what if
@Brandon Andres you will be spotted regardless. The game triggers the guards in a box area around the execution platform.
He doesn't go to Sovngarde though, he's not there when you go there to kill alduin. I don't know a whole lot about the afterlives of Elder Scrolls, but does that mean 'Uncle Roggvir' went to Oblivion?
@@DragoEpyon From what I know about Sovngarde, it's basically a version of Valhalla and according to all mythical background about Valhalla, you'll only go there if you've died in battle or have been a warrior for most of your life and have fought many battles.

I remember the Mourning Giant. I just kinda stood there with him, staring at that mammoth for a while, and then left to continue the main questline. I've never had the heart to disturb him.
Okay, well, it happened once on accident. A wolf attacked, and the arrow I shot missed the wolf and hit the giant. Enough said.
indeed, i did the same. In fact, i kind of felt it was making the entire game more interresting and more serious to me... I stayed there and felt like i shared his sadness... I think it would have been cool if after a certain time, the giant unlock as a potential follower.
wait a second? do u mean the mourning giant isnt gonna try to kill you when he sees you? well if that was the case i guess im evil
Dwarven great sword 😈 blood split gold taken
It looks like it might be possible to pull a fast one on the Ideal Masters. In Dead Men's Respite, you can encounter and soul trap a draugr of Olaf One-Eye. If you go to Savngarde, Olaf One-Eye will be there. So, it seems that when you soul trap draugr, you aren't actually getting their souls, but still get the benefit when enchanting items.
the draughr isn't the person, it's a reanimated corpse
@@ETHANR26 idk he talks and even acknowledges what happened when you meet in in sovengarde meaning his soul returned to the body

First time i ever played, i killed a man's wife and he hated me until I did a quest for him. Now we are quite friendly and I don't know how to feel about that.
i always wanted to help that mourning giant i would love to have a quest to where you can talk to the giant and find a new baby mammoth for him like the second camp having an extra mammoth and then gain reputation with the giant to even buy n sell goodies with learn to make that cheese and even sell it to them for extra buckage and being a profitable hero.
I need this as a mod
That would be lovely. Could we also get a baby mammoth mount?
Quick hint; Maces are best suited for ending mariages in skyrim. Easier to stuff the body in a corner of the house when you don't recognise the face.
Also, for being evil, you could consider the entrance quest to the family, the dark brotherhood - and no, I'm not talking about grelod, she got what was coming to her. Soul trap her if you're able is my recommendation! I'm of course speaking of the "kill the contracted one of 3 potential fellas" astrid tests you in shortly thereafter! Where the only right answer is ofc to kill all 3. Unnecessary and messy - but it secures you to hit the mark and definitely fits the dark brotherhood vibe if you ask me. Plus, Astrid aproves! Though I guess the entire DB questline isn't exactly "family friendly" so to say, but yea...
I can only imagine how many things we'll miss in TES 6.

To be honest i don't use soul trap at all. I've made so much septims thanks to looting dungeons, castles etc. and then trading weapons, armor and other valuable stuff i took with me,so i can buy already filled soul gems, regardless of their price. 😄
The mourning giant saved me once. Got attacked by a dragon and took off running at random, just so happened to head toward the mourning giant and the dragon hit him. The giant took the melee attacks while I stood on a ridge and shot arrows. Somehow we both survived and I managed to never hit him with an arrow. He went back to his mammoth, I looted the dragon. He's a good giant.
I tried SO HARD to soul-trap Ancano. I restarted that last part of the College of Winterhold's questline 6 times at least. I had one black soul gem that i'd been saving. But I didn't realize the game had filled that soul gem with a "grand" soul at some point beforehand. I was the definition of salty when I realized that was why I wasn't capturing his soul.
So, I learned you can empty out a soul gem by dropping it on the floor, oddly enough
Giants and mammoths are only hostile within a certain proximity to their camps I believe and in one random encounter when they get attacked by bandits but then who could blame them, there's another giant herding two mammoths over the road nearby who won't be hostile. They'll attack enemies who mean anyone harm like wolves or bandits but don't count on their assistance with enemies which only want you like thieves, assassins and Thalmor justiciars.
I've been binge watching this channel for the last few days..
The most unintentionally evil thing I witnessed in Skyrim, happened way back when the game was first released on the Xbox 360.
My roommate stumbled upon Meeko's shack. Feeling bad for the poor dog he decided to reunite dog and owner by REANIMATING THE CORPSE OF THE DEAD NORD. This made Meeko hostile. I watched in horror as owner and dog proceeded to fight to the death! All the while my roommate cackled like he was possessed.

My biggest regret in my current playthrough as a serious business enchanter is killing Nazeem without a black soul gem. I clearly wasn't thinking; if anyone deserves to spend eternity looking for the Cloud District in the Soul Cairn it's him.
Next time enchant a pair of boots with his soul and call them "I do get to the cloud district" and only wear them there
Don't forget the part of the soul cairn where the daedra consumes the souls residing in the cairn, utterly destroying them.

Actually I didn’t know about the mourning giant one or the note from the jarl about the giant camp. And get this, I’m running a vampire lord build on my recent save and I was at the location not too long ago so I think I may have killed the giant in the middle of one of my rampages to drain life for perks. I don’t remember much about it but I remember a huge fight and I was scrambling attacking everything in sight because a fire breathing dragon along with a bunch of Dawnguard hunters with crossbows were charging at me. Yeah now I kinda feel bad for the giant though.

I was expecting much more severe things on this list lol. I mean has anyone not killed Silus?? He's a daedric worshipper and you get an epic weapon by killing him. Played through that quest over 10 times and I've never let him live.
I didn’t get a choice with Silas, he just started yelling “I won’t go down without a fight!”
I think I’ve killed Nazeem in the most fun way ever. I have the Triumvirate magic mod and I am a warlock. With the master spell I am able to cast someone into oblivion until I use it again. I simply casted him into oblivion and then released him while I was in the middle of fighting a bandit camp as a distraction and he died
Oh god, the Mythic Dawn were like the ninjas. Silus was just a weeaboo.
1:10 "A wounded Nord by the name of Valdr will cry out near the entrance he's hurt bad bleeding out" actually he looks fine and is just sitting on the log XD
Correction: a bloody log
I got unexpected help from a giant once. I was in the middle of a fight with 3 bandits when a giant came wandering up to us. I thought "oh great, I hope I manage to take care of the bandits before the giant crushes my skull" the giant then quickly clubbed my enemies to death, put his club back on his shoulder and wandered off!
“ a generous sum of gold”
LOL this is one of the problems with these daedra quests. There’s no real reason to deny them . If silus gave you a ridiculous sum of gold like 50,000 now that would be a hard choice . But silus literally offers like what 2000 or less?
It is often a choice between crap and garbage. Most of the Deadric artifacts are garbage as you can make better stuff yourself fairly early, they are really only good to decorate your home. But the alternative option is usually crap - crap amount of gold, crappy follower, or a quest that never goes away because you can't be bothered to complete it.
@@nemerly_00 but you forgot about the wabajack!
Keko also the sanguine rose if you played on the 7th gen consoles and had a major fear of the frostbite spiders and just made the Daedra do all the heavy lifting. Speaking from experience, that weapon was my favorite just because of that lol
@@bari6708 You are correct. Long term, the only two artifacts I end up using are DawnBreaker for exploding the undead and Wabbajack for the Lol's. Sometimes a third, if I feel like getting the Ebony Mail, I'll give it to one of my followers.
@@acecashman1237 I wish I could use this more often, but one or more of my Mods causes a CTD when I use the Rose. Luckily one of my Mods also adds a Staff to summon a random Deadra for 60 secs., so that makes up for it.
My favorite questionable action is combining Quiet Casting and the Fury spell to cause various townsfolk to make very poor decisions.
I feel a little weird, because I don’t actually really soul trap anything. If I do, it’s an already-enchanted sword. I don’t need to because at some point, you hit a level where filled soul gems spawn in. As a result, you pick up filled soul gems and use them to recharge the weapons

My bow is filled with the souls of guards that say I used to be an adventurer like you until I took an arrow to the knee.

But ex wives have no soul
@Hoàng Nguyên woah calm down there satan.
You don't wanna know what's in his boots.
@Hoàng Nguyên It's okay for werewolves to kill other werewolves. They aren't in the same pack. The player can also be a werewolf who wears the Saviour's Hide, since they worship Hircine. Makes total sense.
Imagine being the champion of multiple Daedra so that when they come to collect your soul when you die they all have to fight over who gets it
"Dagon killed the last dragonborn." HE WAS SEAN BEAN! He literally had to die
It's like a law of the universe or something.
@@insaincaldo Only other guy who dies more in pretty much *_anything_* than Sean Bean is John Hurt....
@@Daelyah do You Know the Actor Passed Away ?

I steal Souls from Sithis whenever I played the Dark Brotherhood every Target I got I sold trap them therefore their souls went to the Soul Cairn and not Sithis
I never thought of this oh man that’s brilliant, the next time I’m playing the Dark Brotherhood questline I’m gonna do this just to be a dick.
@@eugeneedgeworth1436 that's a cool idea for a Listener who really doesn't give a shit about the old ways and is rather on Astrid's side. Fuck Sithis, my city now!
Okay, was my experience on the Merunes quest unusual? When I played through it, the first time I gave in to Silus' pleading and told him he could go. And immediately thereafter Dagon got mad at me for defying him and released two high level daedra who almost instantly killed Silus and then turned on me. So I went back and killed Silas as Dagon had demanded. As a reward, he rebuilt the Razor and gave it to me, THEN released two high level daedra "as a final challenge." The third time, given the warning, I grabbed the repaired dagger and moved back down the path a ways so the Daedra would not materialize right on top of me. As far as I can see, Silus is doomed no matter WHAT choice you make.
The two Daedra never managed to kill Silus in my playthroughs. I think you have to get their attention off of Silus real fast so he has the chance to get away.
I feel, if he's going to die either way, I don't feel guilty about killing him for the sake of the dagger. It looks really cool in a display case. Besides, I might be preventing the next Oblivion crisis by taking this guy out. His obsession can't lead to anything good.
I was just scrolling trough your 3 year old videos to find something i've missed. Thank you for the dedication
You forgot the most evil decision in the entire game. Leaving Meeko behind.
Not so, more evil is to kill Meeko to add to the museum's showcase for Skyrim dogs in The Legacy of the Dragonborn. :(
@@mrsmissy2669 excuse me?! Ok well whoever made that mod is a monster. Making people kill meeko to complete a set.
@@spicybeantofu no no. It's not strictly necessary to kill meeko. You can kill any dog to complete the quest. But, you know, meeko is a dog...
I use meeko reborn and setscale 0.5 he is so adorable i rather kill myself
I can't be dealing with that dog, He just gets in the way!
On my pure mage character, i killed someone just for their cool mage robe, they were an elderly woman, just tending to their plants and cleaning the dirt outside of their humble shack, and i killed them for one cool blue robe.
You mean Anise?

So if I give some magic stones the soul of some random homeless guy they’ll give me the power to instantly kill the child of the god of time with a fork?
Yes but you need to drink a lot of liquified fish juice
This hurts my head to read.

And the worst thing is about 1 is that the giant *has a bounty on his head set by the jarl*
One thing I've never understood is how people generally understand how soul gems work, and yet enchanting isn't seen as a controversial practice at all. You'd think it would be punished even more severely than necromancy, especially in Skyrim where they put so much stock in going to Sovengarde.
It only applies to black soul gems, with the regular ones the soul still goes to the afterlife
*immediately gets on the PS4 and gets onto Skyrim*
Now....would it be evil to plague the Soul Realm with Nazeem’s soul or would it be a heroic deed?
THAT is the question....
No don’t do that

Cuz that's not evil. It's so OP, that murder becomes reasonable.
@@nazeem8086 I just soul trapped you 😈
@@nazeem8086 I don't care about what the others say. One day I just came back from an adventure and you politely asked if I was feeling bad and advised me to go home and rest on my bad. You saved me from vampirism and I'll never forget about you, true hero and legendary thane of whiterun
Would you really do that to our saint and savior, the Mer who took on the Cliff Racer?

I didn't and if you don't dagon sends a couple sanguine copies after you, silas didn't live, got inheritance and a dagger out of it though
When I play good characters (or characters with a Nordic school of thought) I actually never use anything with Soul Trap. I might loot soul gems and use those, but I never actually engage in that particular crime.
I do sometimes play a more callous mage or a more evil assassin, etc, but my good characters usually know enough not to.
when I found the mourning giant I wanted to cry :'( I left a flower and let him be
We have all had that moment where we go into the middle of Whiterun, save the game and slaughter literally everyone in sight, even sometimes going to other towns and then casually revert to your old save where everyone is living.
The most evil thing i probably did was help kill the old orc cause he wanted a good death. i completely forgot about the fact he wanted that good death and I soul trapped him….
Having Eola hired as a steward so she can look after your children, and make sure they don't starve...
Is that evil or good parenting?
Daddy why are we not seeing the neighbor around anymore?
Considering the tendency for bandit raids on the hearthfire houses, Aela can keep herself fed while making sure your little ones are safe. And she seems like she'd be good with kids in an aunty or sisterly way, so id rule it a net positive.
When I left Valdr after realizing I had no potions, he was alive when I went to see him next, healed no less. Gotta love Skyrim bugs.
7:08 Not quite
You get some levelled gold, yes. BUT you also get access to his shrine and the killable Deadra that inhabit it. On top of that the items and enemies inside respawn weekly. It's an excellent source of Daedra hearts, ingots (including ebony) and a load of valuable items. It's not like you have to do any real work to get them either.
this isnt true either, if you kill silas or dont dagon will still send the daedra to kill you and the key can be looted off them
Is this a feature from the newer Skyrim releases? Because I have the original and he never sends Daedra if you kill Silas@@rickisnothome
