Such a good guide man. Watched about 5 different guide videos and none of them really felt like my playstyle or explained some key details. This had everything and more!! Subbed and hope you make more videos for xbow/dagger
Couple questions regarding PvE: 1. Why consecutive use on Nimble Leap? You only get the initial burst and during boss fights, that's not going to matter since you'll be repeatedly using it as soon as it's on cd - effectively making the consecutive use only a 1 use. For PvP, it makes sense since you do want to burst people down before you die, and having the ability to save the 2nd use seems clutch. 2. Why upgrade Mana Exchange? It's 100% everything including the CD which means there's no net gain (i.e. you would gain the same amount of mana over the course of 18s). Sure, in terms of QoL, it's nice only having to press it once, but that doesn't seem worth it for 5 specialization points. 3. Why run Shadow Strike? Are we that desperate for a gap closer? And is it worth sacrificing something like Annihilation Barrage Shot? 4. Speaking of Annihilation Barrage Shot, why choose Fatal Stigma over it? I know it's preference between the two and wanted to hear your thoughts as I don't think you covered it. 5. The 3rd Quick Fire specialization doesn't seem worth it. It's +20% damage for 50% higher CD. After 18s, no specialization would do roughly 300% of its base damage (100% x 3 uses) and with specialization would be roughly 240% of its base damage (120% x 2 uses). The longer the fight goes on, the difference becomes higher. Again, I understand if you're using it for PvP since you want that burst. For bosses, fights tend to be more drawn out. All in all, I don't understand why you seem to favor burst so much when PvE should favor more sustained damage. Again, this is in the scope of Global release. Maybe later on, burst really does get that high that you are one-shotting bosses making burst better.

That means you're nerfing one detonation mark (by not using it) just to make the following detonation mark slightly better. Just doesn't seem worth the 5 specialization points. If you actually got 2 uses every 16s, then yes, no brainer. However, you only get one charge per cd. 2. Like I said, you get the same amount of mana over 18s. Read again. I'm not arguing why he runs it. I'm arguing why he runs the skill specialization. 3. Fair. That may or may not be worth it over having a stronger damaging skill. We dont take any of the level 50 skills? I know the annihilation, aka spin to win, is a farming or pvp thing, but could we use the wild barrage for bosses and co op dungeons? anyone know????
This is very insightful. I always had confusion over the skill that lowers CD. Some good xbow/dagger players say to pop it as the very first skill but you’re showing to trigger it after the skill goes on CD, which makes so much more sense. A couple of questions: would this be effective for the spinning barrage AoE skill? My favorite skill but it’s 1 min CD ruins it for me. Also, why did you chose the knives to cast after that lowering CD skill (selfless infusion - I always forget the name)? Can you use another other skill? It seems like the knives trigger it so well to CD almost instantly. Thanks ahead of time. Open to all advice.
Edit: I meant you cast Selfless after a couple of quick fires (in the beginning of the video not the end), then when you threw the knives it instantly reset. Was I seeing it wrong? That would be awesome if it worked that way. Specializing quick fire to lower CD is smart too. People kept saying not to because the dodge testers it but that’s only once until nimble goes off CD.
Good guide and interessting build idea. But still i think there is a better build viable. Little advice for a better build you need to look more into your thunderclouds bombing and off hand double attack ;)
@@yaroslav98 yeah that’s not the way it works so what set your item is in doesn’t matter you can identify with the swap button whichever one you want to be the main weapon and then there are typically offhand buffs for switching to the offhand weapon but you can put them in whichever slot you want by default the first weapon is your second weapon is your offhand but if you open your character sheet and hit the swap button on control on PlayStation, it’s a triangle you got a hold it down it’ll slap your main and your offhand was confused at first I thought somehow must’ve hit the slot button and I had a weapon in the first slot and it was not saying and I couldn’t figure out and it just didn’t make sense. Why isn’t slot one main because it doesn’t matter what slot you put it in you designate which one you want with the weapon swap button on the character sheet
@@AkealHalliman or the dagger is one that there are certain buffs that go with it being the offhand and if I understand correctly, so that means if it’s in your offhand, and you use a skill off of it while holding your hand your weapon it’s considered to be swapping to the offhand to do it so you get that buff. I might be wrong, but that’s kind of what makes sense to me. I don’t know the crossbow either. Maybe the crossbow has that same kind of buff but I do know since I’m using one build with crossbow, I mean daggers having the staff as the main hand and the daggers as offhand gives me a buff when when I activate a certain, I forget what it is actually, I just know there’s a benefit to having it as the offhand, not to mention there’s a set of daggers that give you that you can craft to give you significantly more damage as the main hand or you can craft a different set with more damage as the offhand I think offhandis better
@@billy_cross yeah that's right, when you use a crossbow skill, all crossbow masteries are being used, once you use a dagger skill, it goes to the dagger masteries because that's what's in your hand at the time. I think the crossbow mastery passives are better to use most the time because of the evasion, damage and base crit you get from having it out. Either way, they synergize pretty well and dagger has some good mastery passives later with the same bonuses
@@Wakish0069 no, the game just has a TON of it once you hit end game. We also have a skill in our tree that makes us go invisible after every kill for a short time. Perfect for pvp
Depends whether you plan on doing a lot of guild pvp / sieges or rather small scale. Bow staff is king for any sort of massive pvp but it's basically complete trash in small scale, you get run over and farmed over and over again. Xbow dagger is pretty decent/good for small scale but end-game large scale pvp it falls off pretty drastically. I am talking only about potential by the way, xbow dag can still be good in large scale pvp but you will be more of an assassin targeting specific squishies.
@@vx952 Would Staff/dagger be good in small scale and large scale? Was thinking of doing staff/bow, but I like solo/small pvp mainly and large scale secondary.
Okay. So it's not for me. Too many buttons to press. But I guess it makes sense since this is apparently the highest DPS weapon combo in the game. I believe having more APM = more DPS is fair.

Actually all the builds have barrage as a skill in the online guide. Just not in the fixed rotation so it one of the skills you would pop in between I guess :)

The consecutive use on nimble leap is to reset quick shot each time. He used that during his mark to stack dmg.

I noticed you went from green chest piece to epic one. Is there no blue piece I can use while leveling?

I m pretty sure, the skills you think are different are just specialized versions of the basic ones, but I'm not 100% sure.

That’s not how that works, it’s weapon “set”. Set one dagger dagger and set two is two xbows
