Hello. I do something very similar. But I think if you use Thunderclouds bombing instead of wave shot it deals more damage. Or use Thundercloud bombing and not wind snatcher. On a dummy I get at least 3k from tunderclouds bombing and combine that with detonation mark. My mark can sometimes deal over 9k damage if i do the combo perfectly. So I do it like this: 0. Natures Protest 1. Selfess Diffusion 2. Lightning Infusion 3. Detonation Mark 4. Quickfire 5. Nimble leap 6. Quickfire 7.Nimble leap 8. Quickfire (sometimes only 2 quickfires if i did it too slow, thunderclouds bombing is the most important thing to hit for me) At this point the enemy has 20 Thunderclouds stacks. 9. Shadow Strike 10. Thunderclouds Bombing 11. Wave shot (this probably wont get into detonation mark but as you have 3 stacks on it already it still deals good damage) What do you think about this?
Big video, in my opinion you should keep posting about this build and on how to improve it even more on late game, like a gear progession, it will help people even more like me for example. This build its a hard one to make so i hope you will do it soon. Keep it Going
Love how you are breaking down the class in your videos! For the combos, I am a more visual learner. Is it possible if you can make a sheet with the icons in order of the combos? It would be a huge help! It is a way we set up combos in FFXIV as well. Again, keep up the great work!
Btw: For the recoil shot, you can charge up the stacks also by using your "Q" evasion skill. So if you do a combo where you do not use all 2 stacks of nimble leap or do not have shadowstrike available, you can use your dodge skill to get the last or last 2 stacks for the recoil shot! :)
Quickfire - Mark of Detonation - Mother's Nature (Gale or Electricity) - If lightning: Lightning Infusion if Wind: Inject Venom and then build around it. Lightning and Wind are both viable. Lightning having better sustained aoe and more burst in ST, Wind having better ST sustained dps and burst aoe (barrage).

You could spam selfless diffusion to reduce all gcd so ABS could be used more often rather than its now 1min cd which imho turns off the appeal of this build. I mean how many times do you have multiple mobs on you and you just want to mine that ore or chop that tree? Also MNP should proc regardless of weather like cmon man its friggin lightning.
Perhaps for new video: 1. Defined builds - specific for maybe dungeons, AOE, PVP (small n big) - can maybe be with a link too 2. Gear progression into mid game (past early 50)
Nice video but it's only tip of the iceberg that your playing with atm Im only 3k gs and hit 78k on detonation mark, my rotation is mother nature(lightning), selfless diffusion, lightning infusion, shadow strike(effect accumulation) , weak point shot (use expand conditions specialisation), cleaving moonlight(conseq use and attack speed) fatal stigma(damage inc), detonation mark, quick fire(min chain and CD), thundercloud bombing(with CD red) knife throwing (CD red and additional hit), quick fire, thundercloud bombing, cleaving moonlight. Only press cleaving moonlight once for the attack speed, also be aware that to get max damage you must hit the double stacks this will make sure your knife throw reduces the CD for thunderbomb, quickfire and cleaving moonlight, depending on how quick you do it it is possible to add a third thundercloud bombing as well at end. Hope this helps you

@@Rtiffany0466 Lol I jested. Yeah some points into Wis ealry on like 5 or 10 helps until you get Mana Regen on your gear or that op belt Restoration Loop fron 2nd dungeon. Then you can respec those points back into Dex 👍
Have you considered getting an MMO mouse to play an MMO? It's been a game changer for me for the past 10 years, I use it for everything, even FPS games.
@@ItzTermx you just don't realize you need it. It's a game changer for every game you play. Having quick access to everything on your mouse is so efficient. You'll suck for like a week while you get used to it, but if you stick with it you'll see a huge improvement after that.

MMO mouses are your friend, they have 12 side keys that you can program, on top of the mouse buttons, a trigger key, and the wheel, which all are programable at least on mine lol.
After your combos are down as part of an opening attack, do you wait for all the combo CDs to come back up before reusing them or do you follow some kind of maintenance phase rotation where you just use things as they come up? This is more so directed at pve content since pvp is about opportunistic burst with this combo.
I loved the four videos about this build. I’m new to this type of game and was wondering if this build is viable for late-game dungeons. It seems that if the targets aren’t wet, it doesn’t do any AOE damage besides the spin to win ability. In a dungeon, is it more important for DPS to focus on single-target damage for bosses, or AOE damage for groups of enemies throughout the dungeon?

As xbow main the attackspeed its not calculated correctly As rex xbow traits added 8% attackspeed bugged Also gloves traits bugged And some items like etched ring its not giving the shown added attack speed Overall there's small delay in the autoattack animation xbow tested Lets say my attackspeed shown as 0.33s Thats mean i should do 3 autoattacks per second without any skills or offhand activation... Which is not Please do your test this need to be fixed ASAP❤

Can't even skill transfer them bc stupid game only lets you choose from 4 locked options which is really dumb af bc why let you respsec if you can't choose freely? Anyways diatribe aside this guys build is what you want as a XB user. The dagger is only there for the offhand dmg/crit boosts. The Thunder Clouds Bombing build has you in close proximity to all mobs / players at all times bc you are mainly using the dagger instead of ranged crossbow. It is risky bc as a xb user you are mainly pumping points into DEX some Perception which leaves you as A Glass Cannon. High risk High Reward but I ask you if you are going melee why not go Greatsword instead who has decent dmg and high health who doesn't get ohko. As a crossbow user you stay out of melee range so Thunder Clouds Bombing build is counter intuitive imho.

I wish people mention that for casual pve players xbow/dagger dps is crap. Withour correct gear and traits. Most of my friends do way more dps than me using other weapons. And i’m following the rotations, having the specialization to the dot and skill leveling prioritization
man, when the dmg combo of one class is more complex then hole wow classic together ^^ What weapon combo do you recommend for boomer like me, 45 year old and reaction like a turtle and i need 3 business days to change target.
I have a question regarding the build. So far I've seen ur build and rotation which is quite impressive and focused on the crossbow dmg. But I've also seen a totally different one, focused on lighting infusion and stacking lightning until u use tundercloud bomb, and keep repeating this combo. This one is focused on the dagger damage as far as I can see. Did you try this combo? If yes, can you give us some info about a comparision between them, pros and cons?
I've done both and the lightning build is FAR more damage - although also more difficult to play optimally, though even sub-optimally it'll wildly out damage what this guy is doing. The major difference though is that this youtuber's build is ranged focused while the lightning version turns you into more of a melee dps. Also I'm pretty sure this youtuber's build isn't meant to be high pve damage but a hybrid of pve and pvp.
Yep what lock said. I started out with the Thunder Clouds Bombing build but didn't like how I was always in close melee range getting mixed in with the Tank and sub Tanks bc this build will be melee focused. I switched out to ranged build and found this guys build and its alot more fun and enjoyable as you are not at risk of close melee strikes and you are a glass cannon in both builds so leave the close melee stuff to the paladins or ravagers and as a crossbow user stay mid range and dps.

Only leave Protest up when you have above 50% mana or you need the damage for a certain phase

yea, the CD is so long for all the skills :/ kinda not good for fast PVE fights, but nice for longer fights ofc

I wish people mention that for casual pve players xbow/dagger dps is crap. Withour correct gear and traits. Most of my friends do way more dps than me using other weapons. And i’m following the rotations, having the specialization to the dot and skill leveling prioritization

Depends if it's pvp or pve, what boss it is, many factors to be honest

I have a question regarding the build. So far I've seen ur build and rotation which is quite impressive and focused on the crossbow dmg. But I've also seen a totally different one, focused on lighting infusion and stacking lightning until u use tundercloud bomb, and keep repeating this combo. This one is focused on the dagger damage as far as I can see. Did you try this combo? If yes, can you give us some info about a comparision between them, pros and cons?
I've done both and the lightning build is FAR more damage - although also more difficult to play optimally, though even sub-optimally it'll wildly out damage what this guy is doing. The major difference though is that this youtuber's build is ranged focused while the lightning version turns you into more of a melee dps. Also I'm pretty sure this youtuber's build isn't meant to be high pve damage but a hybrid of pve and pvp.
Yep what lock said. I started out with the Thunder Clouds Bombing build but didn't like how I was always in close melee range getting mixed in with the Tank and sub Tanks bc this build will be melee focused.
I switched out to ranged build and found this guys build and its alot more fun and enjoyable as you are not at risk of close melee strikes and you are a glass cannon in both builds so leave the close melee stuff to the paladins or ravagers and as a crossbow user stay mid range and dps.
