Holy shit. I'm so glad I watched this vid before starting that first tip I probably would have never noticed. Sitting in the first town absorbing yt vids before heading out is the way to go
you are a legend. those are some fantastic things to do and I realised that there is really no junk weapons in that game and will probably go have fun with a greatsword tank combo next.

THANK YOU FOR DIVIDING YOUR VIDEO UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus its such a little thing that many of these tutorials dont do and that alone makes me not wanna stay to watch. So thank you!!!!
Your first tip is from Lineage 2 where they called it 'over hit'. And you just imagine that the amount of damage you do beyond 0% hp would give you proportionately more XP. If a monster gives 100xp and you do a big damage attack just before it dies, such that it would go to a pretend 'negative 10% hp', you'd get 110xp from the mob instead, do a bigger attack that would take it to negative 20% hp and get 120xp, etc....
4:00 several items will only drop if certain effects are taking place. The earliest one is on the shores mobs will have a chance to drop juice if wet when they die.
@@vSwampFox I played for 24h since the global release with 0 experience in it before and didn't really meet any p2w bullies, just 1260 people zerg And it's kind of time gated so you farm for about 3 hours per day I would say and then it's just guild activities which are not mandatory if you're not in hc one
I've noticed that if i have a contract that has me killing specific mobs, even if the health is greyed out, if i hit it it still counts as a kill for me, which is cool! Sometimes, if its a collection mission, i'll even get the drop i need, though it doesn't always happen.
Most of those features are derivated from Lineage2. The power kill exp, the stelarite and the weather conditions. Also for those using bow and crossbow, remember to keep the high ground. U deal less damage and have less crit chance shooting enemies that are above you.
With grey bar mobs, there is a small percentage that will get you loot as well, no exp, and during events you can get event drops from the grey bar kills as well if you hit it also.
You can tag a mob that has been claimed by another player in order to complete a quest about killing an specitic type of mobs. I noticed it by accident inside an open dungeon. You don't get loot or quest drops, but at least mele players have that :)
even if someone else has a monster and the bar is greyed out for you, you will still get that kill count though. something important to note if you are finishing contracts and you need to kill a high end boss and you dont care for the loot, just the kill count
The tip number 2 is wrong for contract loot. I have been hitting plenty of grey HP bar monsters and got their loots for the contracts. So it's likely true that you don't get regular loot like armor, weapon or ingredients, but you do get the contract quest loot, for sure.
Thank you for this, would never have known about any of it.. I also would like to know how you got your UI to look like that specifically your Skill bar at the bottom. Ohhh Never mind you are using a controller, I think that's why it looks different. lol
@@emeukal7683 Lineage 2 is an another game. Very accurate observation. He just said that he did not see this mechanics in another games. I pointed on one of such games, that's it.

No surprise there's power hit mechanic here. In Lineage II some damages skills had the "over hit" mention. And doing the final blow with such skill will give you a huge bonus of XP, even on raid boss.
