@@Fl4mingo from what i saw zou can get purple up to 6 using the 9 blue and from there need to upgrade to 9 but i could be wrong. Thats how i understood it.
Don't use the level 9 blue on purple gear until you level the purple gear up to level 7 and about 30%. If you do this, a level 9 blue will MAX OUT the level 7 purple gear. This saves you a lot of growth stones because as you level up gear, it requires more stones per level. Getting purple to level 7 is not hard, but going above 7 costs a lot of stones, so do NOT waste your level 9 blue on a level 1 purple. It will take it to level 6, but you will then spend too many stones from 6 to max than if you level manually to 7 and then use the blue to max it in one shot.
@@chiefhere1968 No. Just get the green to 6 and pump it into the blue. It’s not rushing if you don’t understand certain things then you wouldn’t know. The game is trying to rush you by giving you things you’re not ready for before hand and while that’s fine and dandy mistakes in character growth should NOT be so detrimental to progression. Especially because the game just came out and they haven’t even balanced the weapon system yet. The game seems to have a lot of potential to be great… however with mechanics this difficult to understand and it being so easy to ruin 1 of the 2 characters you can have at once can also potentially be the downfall of the mmo. Amazon had better not make this a pay to win game. I’m in the understanding that it hardly is and that’s already a mistake.
Absolutley. Thats all most of the players talk about is rushing to cap. I like to take my time and enjoy the game. Many of the locations are beautiful to just relax and fish in, while staring out at a volcano, or castle in the far distance or even seeing the Skywhale (gigantrite) flying overhead.
What i hate most is content creator from early acess or the " 200h " guy from other continent trying to force us to rush ( making looks like we're missing something ). I'm using youtube restrictly just to not find this type of video ( its not easy ). Starting a new game its allways painfull bcz we don't want to spend resources in vain.
This is why it’s important to find content creators who focus on FUN! I am merely tootling around T&L. Following the questline, occasionally veering off for some PVE and exploration. Total enjoying this game. I have money to spend too, but usually wait until I have a clue what I’m doing or if I’ll like the game. There’s plenty here for F2P players. Plenty. Plus if you get on discord or Reddit and find a guild that fits you. Really. Your age group, your play style, your play hours per week etc. You could thoroughly enjoy this game for what looks to be a very long time.
Just want to point out that my buddy hard focused on one weapon/skillset centered on tanking. Meanwhile I simultaneously built a Crusader (greatsword/wand), a Scout (Longbow/Dagger), and a Priest (Wand/Longbow). He has a Power Level of 1950 on his singular build with all his resources poured into it. I have a Power Level of 1935, 1737, and 1850 accordingly. Focusing on your accessories which apply between builds and keeps your power level relevant during the early and mid game. Then you use your saved up resources for the gear you get from the main quests and from dungeon runs at late game. I just hit maxed level yesterday and I'm almost to best in slot for all three builds. And yes I have a full time job outside of taking lol so all this rhetoric is only important to ppl who think there's no point in playing unless you're the best of the best. Meanwhile I'm having a lot of fun with these open dungeons and pvp and the Dark Souls-esque boss fights with unforgivable mechanics. I have a soft tank, dps, and a full healer on one character over a weekend of playing.
My second character is an Arcanist (Staff/Wand), Scoundrel (Crossbow/Dagger), and Assassin (Dagger/Wand, with a specialization in poisons and curses). Again, leveling all three builds together.

Don't put the blue into it until your purple is around level 7 it cost more upgrades from 7+9 then it does 1 to 7..when you hit 7 then put in the blue it will max the purple
What I would like to know is if it's a good idea to start doing dungeons with groups before lvl 50, since the entrance tokens are time gated and I am pretty sure I can get to lvl 50 in a day if I rush the campaign.
@@unclenephew2376 well, lower dungeons do not give best gear. If you rush till 50 in 2-3 days, you will be able to open the chests from 50 lvl dungeons and consume your tokens.
Just started, im really enjoying the combat so far. Thanks for the video. Most other videos make it sound like if you dont start your build perfectly from the beginning. Your life is over. 😅
Thank you for the video, but I didn’t understand something. If I have a blue weapon that is fully upgraded and I find another blue weapon that has better stats, do I need to upgrade the new weapon to its maximum level before I equip it and transfer it with the old one, or is that not necessary since both weapons are blue?
Basically from what I have seen in another video he is correct and it's good to actually have some context about why. Basically just max out all of your gear for a rarity; then and only then you should be going up in rarity. Game honestly does a good job not wasting your time when it comes into investment, it doesn't punish you for upgrading lower level gear.
@Shredder91 it barely makes a difference transferring a green into a blue that leveling the blue to level 6 prior you only going to get like 40% of one level transferring your gear then. You could go either way. I would say just transfer it first anyway.
When I knock off work and want to chill out in a game and have fun, the last thing I need is a game that makes it feel like yet another form or laborious work. That's just me. I know for some players it's exactly what they enjoy, and that's fine. Different strokes and all that, but why is it that MMORPG devs seem hell bent on draining the pleasure out of new games of late?
Is it also possible to transfer weapon mastery when deciding to change weapons? I would like to switch from staff/wand to staff/dagger, but I am afraid of losing too much time regaining mastery.
04:00 a little confusing , you talk about opening the box for manasteel but you are actually upgrading your green manasteel to blue manasteel to compensate the missing amount. fyi
Just for clarification, the skill conversion books… When you say that you can transfer experience from one skill into another weapon skill, is that conversion removing the experience from your current skill to put it into the new skill that you’re wanting to try out? Just want to make sure I understand that right so I don’t end up thinking thinking I can try a different weapon/skill out and if I don’t like it, go right back to what I was using only to find out that all of my skill experience and what I currently had is now gone
This might be a dumb question but can you upgrade gear before adding your previously upgraded piece to it? For example, upgrading a blue piece to T3 before adding my fully upgraded green. I almost upgraded a new blue I got but then I thought that might nuke my chance at transfer.
How do you craft or where do you find the lithographs for gear/weapons. For example, I have all the required materials for a cloak, except for the particular lithograph. How to create it or find it?
Yes, you lose the traits, but your new gear that you are upgrading gets blessings, and blessings are used to enchant a blue trait that normally has a 10% chance to imprint on the purple, but if you use blessings, you can make it 100% chance to imprint, so you don't really lose the benefit of traiting out the original piece of armor/gear, you just lose the traits.
So TL:DR max out a wep before infusing it intoa higher quality wep Don't use crafting mats carelessly Do what are essentially your dailies asap for dungeons. My only question, you mention to upgrade blue to 9 before swapping to purple, should I also take the same approach with green to blue? Or is upgrading blues relatively easy.
Dont upgrade to Purple Gear before blue is maxed at 9, keep materials in boxes till you need em, get Skillconversionbooks and store them, do your dungeons before they cap, and transfer upgraded items plus attribute over to another item using Gold instead of leveling it up slowly. Gotcha Thx

@@ThePuppet001?!? You have no idea how big the pvp scene is in mmos , most T&L players are lineage 2 player like me , all we want is good pvp in an mmo?
About 50 of my old lineage 2 friends are excited for the pvp
Got into Early Access and started off with a healer build which I didnt really like how the role works in this game.
The lack of flexibility to swtich classes is such a huge turn off for me. The time and resource needed to respec is tremendously annoying.
They give you 24 respec scrolls off the rip!
I wouldn't start with a healer build at all, just make your Dps glass and get to lvl 50 easy peasy and after that you can create your healer
Jesus most mmo don't even let you respec.
@@massyl25 becuz most mmo's have fixed classes from the start , this one and New world ur class is dictated by the weapon so basically everyclass BUT they made it punishing to switch if u dont transfer XP, UR TIME is the most valuble resources for yourself and they Prey on that and ur wallet. For example u play alot a class , u wanan switch but u made a mistake and dont have books or ran out , u either buy em with cash or start over again which meaaans u WASTED alot of time just to feel sht after cuz u dont enjoy the class , but if u still enjoy the game for other reasons thats fine .
Thank you! I already screwed up on the first one on my dps character but I can fix it I'm sure since I'm only newly lvl 50 so thankfully I caught it before I got fully purpled.
Thanks for helping us not gimp ourselves 👍
my pleasure, glad you enjoyed!
Great advices! When you say take a lot of time to level a weapon/gear, are we talking like 2 weeks or like 2 months?
If its purples, many weeks.
My head hurt trying to understand this. 😆
This was good info! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
There was a little bad advise in here. From a person that plays gacha's I can say dont reset anything, level everything. Get everything. Do it one at a time.
Also, the main story gives you blue gear , do not craft it as yet , just do main story
I was going to say to add timestamps but I see you have them, if you add a timestamp for 0:00 it will then show the timestamps on the video itself. Thanks for the tips!
Oh no! I am now so scared to mess up I wont even touch this game!
Exactly.
Then just play how you like to
Played it yesterday , and watched alot of videos and in like fk it not even gonna put time in it to much bs hahaha
Great Video!
Glad you enjoyed it
This is a great guide. Thanks for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Very Usefull mate, thanks a lot
No problem 👍
I will Gladly quote a comment i saw on some other video. "Well, this sounds like hell."
Question : when you say “early on” or “when you’re starting off “, what do you mean by that? Do you mean like level 50? Because I’m level 18 and I can only do one level of the dungeon.
Yes 50!
@@mimicislivettvthat's not really just starting out or early on lmao
Great video. Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Bro i just installed this game was lurking about what to do and thx i found ur video and didn't continue evem the toturials thans bro just sttopped the game and watched i think u saved a newcomer thxthx
Question why my character or operator is blurry when walk
I see those tokens for crafting purple boss gear sheeeesh man knows da weey.😅
Haha!!
Thank you so much for this video. Now I know
Any time!
4:31 How are you level 51? 😳
just the ppl in guilds are rushing for end game content
fantastic, got another sub
Thanks a bunch!
The transfer on gear is 100% value so it is more cost effective to upgrade material instead of gear
Don't put the blue into it until your purple is around level 7 it cost more upgrades from 7+9 then it does 1 to 7..when you hit 7 then put in the blue it will max the purple
thank you for the heads up... great info
Any time!
What I would like to know is if it's a good idea to start doing dungeons with groups before lvl 50, since the entrance tokens are time gated and I am pretty sure I can get to lvl 50 in a day if I rush the campaign.
As far as i know, yes, do dungeons, but do not open chests.
@@hersolfdihoffre2838why not open the chest ?
@@unclenephew2376 well, lower dungeons do not give best gear. If you rush till 50 in 2-3 days, you will be able to open the chests from 50 lvl dungeons and consume your tokens.
Just started, im really enjoying the combat so far. Thanks for the video. Most other videos make it sound like if you dont start your build perfectly from the beginning. Your life is over. 😅
Glad you enjoy it!
Great vid thank you!
Thank you!
Something else is before your level 50 don't explore if you unlock teleport checkpoints in other areas you lose your main quest mission.
Although all still helpful the game tells u alot of this. playing zelda as a kid i learned u need to read the game to know what to do ahaha
Facts!
Also from green to blue? So maxed out green into blue?
Yeah
Basically from what I have seen in another video he is correct and it's good to actually have some context about why. Basically just max out all of your gear for a rarity; then and only then you should be going up in rarity. Game honestly does a good job not wasting your time when it comes into investment, it doesn't punish you for upgrading lower level gear.
@Shanex250 should I lvl my blue to 6 first and then transfer or should I transfer immediately? I'd figure that would save takens, no?
@Shredder91 it barely makes a difference transferring a green into a blue that leveling the blue to level 6 prior you only going to get like 40% of one level transferring your gear then.
You could go either way. I would say just transfer it first anyway.
thanks for the guide, it really helps....
Glad it helps!
Awesome content, thank you for the video. Do you have a Bow/Staff build that you are willing to share?
Check out Whelps video best now staff ever
Yes I do!
So, decided to start on PS5 since it recently released? What weapons are viables?
Thanks my guy
There are skill convercence books for free in full chapters complete in the codex . I am at 24 books with 3 full chacpers. Quess there are more :)
Nice guide :) Thank you makes sense
Glad you liked it!
Finds crafting a challenge in New World. I have no chance here 😅
Is it also possible to transfer weapon mastery when deciding to change weapons?
I would like to switch from staff/wand to staff/dagger, but I am afraid of losing too much time regaining mastery.
Life saver! thank you
Glad it helped!
04:00 a little confusing , you talk about opening the box for manasteel but you are actually upgrading your green manasteel to blue manasteel to compensate the missing amount. fyi
sheesh this video going crazy - fumbr :3
so... max green > basic blue and max blue>basic purples... I was curious about this, thanks for the info...
Glad I could help!
Yes you can!
How do you craft or where do you find the lithographs for gear/weapons. For example, I have all the required materials for a cloak, except for the particular lithograph. How to create it or find it?
You have to find the litho!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Quick question:
Why did you change from
Dagger - Bow to
Dagger - Staff?
Different passives you get for equipping either of the two, daggers give you movement speed, staffs gives you ranged auto attack!
so what about the traits? you say max it out completely but what about if u max the traits do u just lose all the traits
I’m glad I didn’t make any of these mistakes 😂 common sense is a must - and people need to think long and hard, take your time
Nice!
i miss playing w you in onehp alliance in korea
Hell yea!
How did you change your cursor skin?
So TL:DR max out a wep before infusing it intoa higher quality wep
Don't use crafting mats carelessly
Do what are essentially your dailies asap for dungeons.
My only question, you mention to upgrade blue to 9 before swapping to purple, should I also take the same approach with green to blue? Or is upgrading blues relatively easy.
yes get weapons and armor max before rolling them over
Understood jefe!
Is completing the lithograph worth?
