I am a carb addict and people jump me about being strict. I told them you would not tell an cocaine addict to have a little cocaine in moderation or an alcoholic so if I tell you I am a carb addict why do you wanna derail me? I just had to get real. My hubby is on board. We are in our mid 40s with a non verbal 7yr old son who is autistic. We gotta get this under control. So with my faith in God and my strict focus I will conquer this obese beast!!!!

I totally admire you & your weight loss journey as I’m also a sugar addict. It’s a true addiction & is a real problem I think. I’m on WW and lost 4 lbs in my first week ( water weight)I’ve been on the struggle bus a bit recently but I’ve been unwell so that’s why I think. Good luck flower, you got this.

The holidays did me in too! I did WW for a year and was down to my goal in October and then November and December struck and I'm back to square one. I'm hoping to get back on track now starting with dry January!
I think you will be successful on this plan. Same thing happened to me with WW losing and gaining the same few pounds. Now I watch my carbs. Congratulations 🎉

They didn’t do it for weight loss, they just wanted to overall feel better but I have about 60 pounds to lose. Carnivore is way too strict and I love the idea of just eating one ingredient foods. 😊

After awhile, you might want to try a low carb natural sweetener like allulose and/or stevia blend? I find the blend very satisfying for those times when I want something sweet. Baked goods are what I want. I have found many enjoyable keto alternatives. (‘Kaizen’ lupin pasta & rice products are really good. They taste like whole wheat pasta. 😋 ‘Immi’ ramen noodles are fantastic. I watch for sales on Thrive market) Boiled Daikon radish work for boiled potatoes , but not for mashed or fried. The meals you’ve described sound so delicious, ‘Lemon Chicken soup’, I’ve got to try that! I’m so excited for you🥰. ❤❤❤

Congratulations on the new plan you decided to do. Since 2022, I have been dealing a medical problem from a previous back surgery procedure that caused this issue. I was diagnosed with this issue. I was put on medication for life due to my issues. I do need to lose weight too. I have decided to join a gym like planet fitness to help my issues. I will not mention what I have. I have been working with a physical therapist for a special therapy for my issues and trying different treatments to help with my issues. Two items that trigger my issues are milk chocolate and pop. This year I have decided to not drink any pop. See if that works. I enjoy pop and chocolate. I had chocolate all my childhood to adulthood. I want to fix this issue to be solved. I had to find a specialist doctor to help me with my problem. It’s all me. I need to change the ways I am eating.
Congratulations on a successful weesk 1! For lunch you could make a taco salad to change things up. Y9u could make taco meat with ground turkey or beef, or a combo of both. Can you eat deviled eggs?

I've not finished watching yet, but let's blame this on Texas because I was there twice in November and I swear Texas makes me eat more 😭 With that being said, I think you're doing great and slow and steady wins the race 🏃 🏆
I am doing carnivore or ketovore till I heal my insulin resistance and get more insulin sensitive. Then slowly transition into animal based. I will be 45 in April and I had a hysterectomy little over yr ago and the hormones seem to do better lower carb. Hot flashes are the devil 😅 prayers for you. I'm down 343 to 315. Messed up few times since Oct 1st 2024. Now I am fat adapted so I am IF and keeping my calories in a deficit. Weigh in day is tomorrow hopefully down.
sounds like a really healthy way to eat. Of course portion control is important ( I have a problem with that!). I also would worry about the beef and inflammation ?? And high fat, cholesterol increases??

I'm right there with you, girl! Sugar addiction is real. I started lower carb to help reduce my fasting insulin and cravings. Read or listen to Food Junkies by Vera Tarman. It made sense of my life struggle with sugar.

Hope you find success this year 🎉 I am in the same boat as you lose & gain etc. but I had to have a real moment with myself and ask myself, am I putting in 100% effort? The answer was no and therefore I won’t see the results I’m hoping for. I’m giving WW a try again cause it was never the program for me, it was always me not tracking everything and taking days where I just eat whatever that made me stay stagnant. It’s so easy to over consume but the truth is we don’t need to treat ourselves everyday of the week! I’m loving the new updates to the program as well! 😊
