I think the majority of your subscribers know how invaluable Josh’s contribution is to Team Acre Homestead. You guys work so well together and your skills are complimentary too.
62 year old man here. I don’t think Becky can get enough praise for her hard work but also providing us with such great entertainment. I see from the comments how much she lifts people up, just like me. What a real person who will say, “take a good look at all this dirt in my kitchen”. No pretense. Thank you Becky! ❤
Becky, you should ask Josh to put a utility sink out in your garden for initial veggie cleaning. My hubby put one in my garden for me and I love having it. The water just drains into buckets so I can use it to water plants. It’s such a useful addition to my garden area and saves my kitchen from tons of dirt I would otherwise bring in.
You can find a fish cleaning table with sink at a sporting goods store like Bass Pro, that would be great for this. I already have a sink in my greenhouse, but I have the fish cleaning one for fish. It folds when not is use and I super convenient.
I usually watch your videos during my daughters nap while my husband is at work. I watched one last night while I wasn't feeling well and my husband and daughter (almost 2) joined me. My husband said, "Wow. These videos are so fun! She seems so real and down to earth. I see why you like them." He's joining the Becky fan club! 👏😂
My husband is always curious too when he happens to catch a glimpse of a video after coming home from work 🙂 he’s active duty, so after a long day on post having to deal with taking care of soldiers, I think it’s a nice break. The tasty looking dishes are always of interest. Luckily, if I have UA-cam running during the day while I go about my own cleaning, cooking or chores daily, UA-cam does me the favor of generally automatically rolling into one of Becky’s videos- and my corgi puppy loves it! Becky is her favorite 😆 it’s too adorable! She is used to the tone of her voice and her videos are a part of her regular routine at this point, so I think it’s a source of regimen and comfort for her
Hi Becky, I was recently diagnosed with a pretty aggressive breast cancer (this is my third cancer in total). I have started binging your shows, on the days after chemo when I’m not feeling well. I have been having such a GREAT time!! Thank you for being so real and doing things that “the average” cook like myself can make without buying a bunch of different items! Loving every video and also enjoy seeing your hubby, sister, and your Mom as well!! Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!❤
I’ve been watching you for a year or so and love all your videos! I did see your new pup but I’ve never seen you introduce your other two dogs. They are so quiet and well behaved, would love to see more of them!
My life has been a real struggle the past couple of years and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate and look forward to your videos. I pray for you and your family and thank God for the smiles y’all put on my face and heart! ✝️🙏🏻💜
Oh Becky! I would love to have your island!! It is huge!! A great working space!! I really enjoy watching your videos too!! Whether folding laundry or cooking or baking, I enjoy ALL of them! Thank you for sharing your life with us. ❤❤❤
Even if you are cleaning your house, you are still entertaining to me. You are so energetic, doing all the things on your homestead, and I’m here with you all the way. Love my Becky channel. Until next time………
Blackstone: best bottles for oil & water are empty dish soap bottles, as they are sturdier than other squeeze bottles and have secure tops. I bought a insulated casserole carrier to keep my food warm while I'm cleaning up the Blackstone, which you do immediately while it is hot. No need to buy fancy accessories, I use a stainless steel bowl as a dome to melt things like cheese on a burger. I've learned to take a tray outside with everything I need: Papertowels, water bottle, oil bottle, tongs, spatchulas, seasonings etc. I find I have to be super attentive and can't leave the blackstone to run back inside for something. Thank you so much for your content, I find it enjoyable, motivational and relaxing ❤❤
I concur! Because my husband is active duty, we move every few years and after about a decade of doing that I’ve gotten a little burnt out at making the effort to put myself out there to make new friends in the last year or two. Tuning in makes it feel like I’ve at least found a “friend” here lol
Yay! Becky Boo! Hate you broke your mug, be careful on what you lug. In from the garden, you'll bring some goodies. You always take care of your family and buddies. You had to reset your home, maybe give your pooches a bone. Love your videos all the time, when you come on, it's a favorite of mine. Almost time to start seeding you know. Hopefully there will be no more snow. Blessings to you all.
I got halfway though this video before I ended up deep cleaning the inside of my oven (a job I have been putting off for literal months). When you did your putting the garden to bed video, I made it approximately 5 minutes before I ended up pausing the video, taking my merry butt out to my OWN 3,500 sq. ft. garden, and spent the day putting mine to bed! Thanks for always, unintentionally, giving me the kick in the pants I need.
I have a Bible meeting to go to in just a little while otherwise I would’ve done the same BUT I will be doing the that tomorrow. Why is it motivating and encouraging to watch someone else clean then we go get it done too?! LOL
@ Well I do appreciate the motivation. I cook and do life very similar to you (less on the preservation side of things), so usually it feels like you're reading my mind.
@ I think it's more convicting for me. I mean, I have 40 minutes to watch a video but can't spend that time doing my own housework that's been piling up?!
Hi BECKY, I so enjoyed watching Dakota Walk out to your garden with you. He is so precious and a good buddy. I absolutely loved watching you clean your kitchen. It inspired me to do the same. Also, I love when you mention your other dogs and I just loved seeing Dakota today that made my day. Thank you.
@AcreHomestead I like the look of the wooden lids better than the Fido jars in your kitchen too. I love ❤️ the look of both, but wooden lids are the way to go.
Oh, you're making me feel so much better..... Lol, messy kitchen after cooking...and sometimes the next morning. It all washes up! Stay blessed, Becky!
The peppermint and eucalyptus is good for respiratory ailments. 👍 I want to share this Becky- it was a reel, I did it last night and oh MY! Balloon Bread 190g all purpose flour 150g Greek yogurt 1tsp baking soda 4g salt Mix all ingredients until a smooth dough forms, knead until soft and elastic cover and set to rest 30 minutes Divide dough into 4 pieces and roll out on floured surface… cover them when all rolled out ( not too thin ) let rest 30 minutes Heat pan on medium/high heat… bubbles will begin to form - flip frequently to ensure even cooking. It will ballon up… cut thin one end, open and stuff with whichever ingredients you’d like It reminds me of pita bread but better, taste is a little like Naan bread, but better 🥰. These were so delicious- thought you may like to try and thought the acre viewers might too. Let us know your thoughts on them 👍
Hi Becky. quick tip, I keep my old tooth brushes for cleaning nooks and crannies. I have a couple for the kitchen area and some in the bathroom for upstairs.
I still use toothbrushes, too, but have found an even better little brush! When my mother died, she had a couple of new, unopened denture brushes (she had a partial) in a drawer. They're perfect! They have a two sided head - one side that's like a toothbrush and the other side has a square of bristles that are angle cut to come to a sort of point. They are a game changer! They aren't expensive and between the two heads, they reach and clean all kinds of places! And they're inexpensive.
Yay! New episode. I was getting a little bit desperate here... Jessica at Three Rivers Homestead is on 'maternity leave' this week, White Cottage Company has a winter break, and Kristen Hoffman is on her annual January break. You saved my night🤣 I LOVE your little yorkie 🥰 This month it's 1 year since we had to say goodbye to our sweet little yorkie girl💔❤
So sorry for the loss of your little sweetheart. It's hard. My 20year old ginger/tuxedo had to go to kitty heaven the last day of November. I have many happy memories of that sweetheart, plus 2 younger cat brothers to keep me entertained. Take care of yourself.
I'm glad to know, I'm not the only one that left dishes to wash until the next day. I cooked a ton during the holidays. I started the week before Thanksgiving, and it went on every day untill a week after Christmas. I am usually very persistent about doing every dish before starting the next menu item. This year, I still did that, but the last one of the evening, dishes were rinsed, piled up and then it was time to say GOODNIGHT EVERYBODY!!! Sometimes, you just have to stop!! It was all worth it though. I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You are a really hard worker and have such a genuine soul!❤
I know you feel good about getting your kitchen cleaned. It looks great. Hate the coffee mug broke but you had a great attitude about it. Dakota is precious…I think he will become your shadow. Thanks for being you!!!❤😁👍
I have several masala dabbas for spices. Its a tin that holds 9 spice pots but only one lid for all. Its what they use in India. I still have pretty jars on the shelves. I use a dabba for herbs too. The best stainless steel ones have an inner lid.
Ohhh my Blackstone is by far my favorite piece of cooking equipment... I use mine 5-6 days a week for everything!! You clean it and season it exactly like cast iron (I use grape seed oil to finish it) .... My favorite is cooking an entire top of bacon and also we love grilled chicken fried rice with eggs, shallots, a touch of soy sauce... mmmm so good!! Also mine also stays covered when it's not being used... makes a huge difference keeping it seasoned.
I relate to and enjoy you very much. I too am a home cook, batch cooker and baker. I also try to bring meals to help others. And yesterday when you mentioned you were tired after all the prep (yeppers…true true statement) and today when you mentioned needing to clean cause the kitchen has a leftover mess! Preach Becky! Love your January commitment to milling your wheat. I doubt I’ll ever go that route, but I enjoy watching you learn. Your commitment to your garden is also very impressive
Becky about the spice jars. I had in my saved Amazon cart items the new glass spice jars with bamboo lids. Large, med and small. And for Christmas my husband saw them in there throughout the year and said , " I'm going to get her those". I like square storage so those are the ones I wanted. Their an investment which is why I kept saving them instead of gifting myself. But I have to say, I love them! They bring me so much joy while I'm cooking! I'm clumsy in the kitchen so I am mindful of their need for gentleness but I feel so fancy with their matching labels and lids using them. I highly recommend them❤
Awe. His name is Dakota. I love it. I know he warms your heart. Love seeing you smile. Hello Acre friends. Hi Becky. I can’t wait until we are back in the grow room. I am so excited for this years garden.
We had a black stone, used it periodically, and also kept it covered. It still rusted. It’s just like cast iron, and any amount of moisture accumulated will affect it. Make and keep it well seasoned.
Becky : I cleaned my kitchen cabinets & outside of appliances yesterday. I started organizing & deep cleaning beginning of this month. Thanks for sharing your video .
Love your show today. You are getting so much done! Your puppy is adorable! Wish you the best in your endeavors to get stuff done! You and husband are blessed!😊
You should think about having a Mimi greenhouse cover for a couple of your beds that can be put on during winter for your root vegetables and maybe some herbs and greens it could be made to just rest on top out of light wood and heavy plastic. Josh could probably do it
I've got a couple days of dishes to catch up on and I'm trying to get some baking and food made. It's really stressing me out! I really appreciate your honesty and sharing cleaning up when you get behind. It helps me feel less overwhelmed! I'm disabled and sometimes my body quits before I finish things
Be easy on yourself; you just recovered from a pneumonia & got through all the holiday season! You’ve got so much accomplished besides! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦🌲
Nothing more satisfying than really deep cleaning feels great once it’s done, I’ve never ever thought that Josh didn’t help you, you make a great team ❤
Thank you Becky for giving us the chance to walk along side your everyday life! Watching you from Manitoba Canada. I sometimes add homemade salsa into those scrambled baked eggs. I think a little cream would make them softer as well.
Hi Becky and Dakota! You two are so cute together! Im truly envious of your ability to be in your garden. Im in Northwest Wisconsin and we are going into several days of sub zero temperatures. We are starting to pour through our seed catalogs though. Our seed planting begins in February. So happy for you that youre able to play in your garden this weekend. Your kitchen looks shiny new! 💗☺️
The bad thing about white cabinets is they show every drip and splatter. The good thing is when clean they look fabulous. For your drawer fronts and cabinets use a paint brush to dust first. The bristles reach the little crevices and they won't scratch the finish.
The blackstone is my favorite way to cook during the spring summer fall. Think of how many pancakes you can turn on that bad boy on a big freezer meal/ meal prep cooking day. We always do those, french toast, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast bowl scrambles on it. We also love making stir fry, fajitas, philly cheesesteaks, fried rice, smashburgers, gyros, and flatbreads. We also bought the pizza oven attachment so that we could make pizzas from scratch. It is absolutely an essential cooking item in our house and has been so helpful to have when throwing parties, going camping (so much so we bought another one for our camper), and to cook on when it's too hot outside and you don't want to heat up the house. We love it just as much as our grill and find that they both are beneficial to have for their own reasons. One does not replace the other. In fact, it's nice to have steaks or chicken on the grill and your sides cooking away on the blackstone sometimes. Just treat it like your cast iron. Season it well, use water and heat to get the gunk off, oil it, burn off the oil, cover well, and protect it from the elements.
I love the mysterious red spots on the cabinet. Lol. You can always blame them on your family. After all, you have done a lot of cooking over the holidays and for your family. I just felt so bad for you when I saw ALL the dishes in your sink! At least you have a dishwasher. I share a very small apartment with two others. Yes, it's my reality. I wouldn't mind helping you with the dish towels one bit, though. I can't tell you just how much I appreciate you sharing your home, dirty dishes, and all with us. You have such a great kitchen! I love that you have so much space and love to cook and throw parties! I used to be married and had a small house, but at least I could do whatever I wanted. Things happen, and I have a different life now. I am envious of your counter space ✨️ 😎 Again, I love your channel and appreciate you sharing it with us. ❤
My favorite videos are your big cooking day videos, but I love these house project videos too. They're great for body doubling when I need to clean my own house ❤️
I appreciate your honesty! I learn something new from you every time you post. You are genuine! We all look forward to Becky’s Acre Homestead!❤❤❤. Remember to start your onion seeds.
My instant pot says the lid is dishwasher safe. I’ve done it a couple times. However, I’m not sure about the Dutch oven she put in there. It’s enameled, but also cast iron. 🤷♀️❔
Becky, just live how you show everyday things as well as cooking, gardening, shopping, and the tours ! It shows how much you enjoy & appreciate the simpler times . Love that you & Josh support & love each other and your families. God Bless ❤️😁
I was a private housekeeper for 40 years…one of the best gifts you can give yourself is help in the house….most housekeepers will help you set up a schedule that most helps you. Couldn’t hurt to have some over for an interview.
Hi Becky, Very inspiring, thank you. I immediately got my seeds out again. Nice! Oh yes, cleaning, look at the skirting boards. Mine are like that too ☺
Spices- I keep most of mine in their original shakable store containers. For the things that I grow myself - parsley, onion, garlic, thyme, oregano, hyssop, and mint - I dry in the freeze dryer and keep them in appropriate size mason jars. Some of them have the tops of parmesan containers. These are handy for shaking or measuring spoon. Whatever makes for an easier cooking flow. 🍶
I love doing the eggs in a sheet pan. I add sautéed onions, peppers and mushrooms to mine. Sometimes cooked sausage as well. We love the ease of having these in the freezer. Love watching you and learning. I feel like I am sitting in your kitchen visiting with you!!
Suggestion: If you have pot scrubbers, sponges, etc. have them take a ride in the dishwasher when you do a load. Also, if your stove stove grills fit, give them a ride as well, Short work. There is this Buddhist meditation thing: clean the drain traps and make you sink and brain ready. Good suggestion.
I wash scrubbies and even my Swedish dish cloths in my dishwasher, too! Have for 35+ years! They come out clean and fresh, just have to squeeze out any water and let them dry.
Good afternoon Becky 😊. Your a busy lady & such an inspiration. Thank you for being you ,as well. Please tell your Mom hello . From your friend, Char ,in Minneapolis.
Weighing your flour, especially when working with different types of flours, gives you more control and understanding of the flours, etc. It makes it easier to tweak the amounts. Enjoy experimenting and learning! 😊
You are amazing! You have taught me several techniques to use in preserving my harvest and caring for my family. I would suggest you research diffusing essential oils. Tea tree oil is toxic to dogs when diffused. I realize how much you love your four legged babies. Hugs and love to you and yours, Becky.
I bought the things today to make zucchini boats. Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Lightly oil and roast cut side up at 400° for 15 minutes. Do not salt! Drizzle marinara sauce into the "boats" and put Italian meatballs on top. Cover with mozzarella cheese & bread crumbs, Parm if you want. I use nutritional yeast. Return to over until cheese is melted and bubbly.
i made a coffee this morning.. forgot to put coffee... started again then when i turn to pit the milk in the new coffee... spilled the whole thing... how we say in quebec... tabarnak!!😂😂
As a mom, I am amazed you keep your “families things” out of the shots. You are Wonder Woman. The new puppy is so fun and the carrots were fabulous looking! Ps I am envious of your sun. Would love Seattle to have some. Thanks for taking us along! Can’t wait to see the planting and growing of sprouts! Happy New Year❣

Best investment we made for our blackstone is we purchased a lid for it. It protects the stone and has helped keep it almost perfect!
Bravo Becky!!! You're an inspiration!!! ❤
Hi Becky! Glad for another video ❤
I highly recommend them❤
Thank you for all your inspiration and wholesomeness.
Becky :
I cleaned my kitchen cabinets & outside of appliances yesterday.
I started organizing & deep cleaning beginning of this month.
Thanks for sharing your video .
You & Josh are an awesome team!! ❤️
You could vacuum the flour off the cabinets to get majority off, then the fine details. 😉
A Becky video while I walk on the stairmaster? A blessing indeed
I love watching your videos, Becky. What are you using to clean the island and the rest of your kitchen?
I was wondering the same.
Love your show today. You are getting so much done! Your puppy is adorable! Wish you the best in your endeavors to get stuff done! You and husband are blessed!😊
You are such a sweetheart of a person. Thanks for bringing us along.
You should think about having a Mimi greenhouse cover for a couple of your beds that can be put on during winter for your root vegetables and maybe some herbs and greens it could be made to just rest on top out of light wood and heavy plastic. Josh could probably do it
I think you can safely say you have your new garden buddy shadow in Dakota 😍😍😍😍😍 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
I've got a couple days of dishes to catch up on and I'm trying to get some baking and food made. It's really stressing me out! I really appreciate your honesty and sharing cleaning up when you get behind. It helps me feel less overwhelmed! I'm disabled and sometimes my body quits before I finish things
What kind of cleaner do you use that you are spraying down everything with??
Inquiring minds need to know…..what the product?
Peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils but what else?
The exact question I was going to ask.
I've been wracking my brain. It seems like she's recently told us, but I can't remember!
I also would like to know what kind of cleaner she uses.
Be easy on yourself; you just recovered from a pneumonia & got through all the holiday season! You’ve got so much accomplished besides! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦🌲
Girlllllll, that kitchen is fine!! I’d love to have my kitchen look like that after all the things!!!!
Nothing more satisfying than really deep cleaning feels great once it’s done, I’ve never ever thought that Josh didn’t help you, you make a great team ❤
I absolutely love your sides where your spices are and all the other ones under kitchen cabnits it's so beautiful with the wavy wood shape
Love watching do anything. And btw, that little pooch is so cute the way he follows you. ❤️
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I ALWAYS enjoy spending time with you!!!! You are MY favourite uTuber.
Love ur sun shining on ur sink ❤ something is so magical about a ray of sunlight reflecting on a surface ☀️
I love hanging out with Becky! You make me want to clean my kitchen completely.
Hi Becky! Greetings from Finland
Hello my dear. Was just editing my videos and looking forward to your post. 😊 Glad I’m here on time. Needed this.
Smash burgers, smash tacos, fajitas, and stir fry are some of our favorites for the black stone. Extra bonus with the black stone is no pans to wash🤗
The window view in this video, gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing your day with us. The carrots are beautiful.
Yay 😁 perfect timing. Hang on while I go grocery shopping while listening to Becky 🙃
Becky this vlog is SO relateable - we love you more because of this vlog 🌻
I'm sorry about the breakage. May i ask what spray you used to clean your counter top with?
I am envious of your counter space ✨️ 😎
Again, I love your channel and appreciate you sharing it with us. ❤
Blessings to you Becky. Always a blessed day with you ❤❤
My favorite videos are your big cooking day videos, but I love these house project videos too. They're great for body doubling when I need to clean my own house ❤️
Hey Becky!!! Happy New Year!!!
I appreciate your honesty! I learn something new from you every time you post. You are genuine! We all look forward to Becky’s Acre Homestead!❤❤❤. Remember to start your onion seeds.
Oh wow! I didnt know you could put your instant pot lid in the dishwasher ❤
@joannevdm6437 me either! Does that damage any seals I wonder?
My instant pot says the lid is dishwasher safe. I’ve done it a couple times. However, I’m not sure about the Dutch oven she put in there. It’s enameled, but also cast iron. 🤷♀️❔
@Pamela-B good question. I think as long as the enamel is good, we're ok.
Thanks Becky! As always a pleasure to watch!
U should use Swedish sponge to.clean countertops down its easier to clean and wash
Hi Becky, Very inspiring, thank you. I immediately got my seeds out again. Nice! Oh yes, cleaning, look at the skirting boards. Mine are like that too ☺
Hi Becky. The cut off egg rests, use it with myonaise for bread filling. Kind regards Rustenburg South Africa
Hi Becky, from Northern California, it’s 58° in the sun is out
I love doing the eggs in a sheet pan.
Small scale productive days have their place in life. Thank you for the video. It is so relaxing! I’m happy to see you taking it easy.
What are you using to clean your counters and appliances with? Love love love watching you.
I love zucchini boats! I did the spaghetti sauce one and a shrimp one!
@@loucrutchersmith7972
So many ways to make them!
Your videos always inspire me. Your family is sweet and you all seem like hard workers.
i made a coffee this morning.. forgot to put coffee... started again then when i turn to pit the milk in the new coffee... spilled the whole thing... how we say in quebec... tabarnak!!😂😂
