i had a chance to drive one of those, they're pretty fast but it feels heavy. driving and sitting in the seat feels quite comfy. the ride isn't really harsh at all. its a good car. i'd recommend one if you're in the market!
Cool video as always! I like how there are several different versions of the Genesis Coupe on your channel - really makes me appreciate the vehicle a lot more.
actually it sounds almost like a V8 for that split second when the extra fuel is burned in the exhaust. exhausts that go gurgle gurgle pop gurgle pop pop, sound pretty cool, great review Kyle!
You might not answer this, but I figure I would ask, have you ever regretted not buying the track model? I was just wondering, because I know sometimes people look back and think to themselves that they should have gotten another trim or something. Keep up the good work man!
I own a 2011 Genesis Coupe 3.8L GT - basically this exact car without the spoiler but with the chrome whiskers on the front. (Canadian model) It's pretty damn good, the styling is absolutely beautiful and I get asked on a regular basis all about the vehicle, lots of compliments. My only beef is that the interior doesn't hold up as well as I'd like - the side bolster on the drivers side seat looks rough after 10 months and the interior scratches easily.
Hey Kyle i love your videos i watch all of them but i see that each time you go a do a tour of a Hyundai your take a much longer time since you bought your genesis its just my opinion and could you please do more tours of imports of the equivalent value or type like 370z and other thanks nice videos thos keep it up:)
The Grand Touring is the top of the line trim level while the Track is below the grand touring followed by the R-Spec then the base 2.0T! he also points out the the rear parking sensors and also chrome trim being absent from the Track on the front fascia
I'm planing to get car in about 7 months or so just wanted to know if there's going to be a 2012 version of the genesis coup, also is the 3.8 r-spec a good middle ground between the 2.0t and the touring in both features and price?
Sir is there no review for 2012 model? I'm in college so want most bang for buck, the 2012 models start a lot cheaper especially used. Should get a 3.8 track 2012 for around 24k, or the 2013 2.0t basic or rspec for 24-26k? Is there a significant difference that should make me go with the new one or the old one is fine?
@TheDrewproductions the 2013 version is coming out very soon with a much improved engine with a lot more horsepower. If you're buying one new I'd look at that first. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
@saabkyle04 tbh ida trather have hte base. a manual is perfect for me whats price base ( that one you refer to) to the grand touring liek you are trying to sell?
i wish hyundai (and others) would just make the smartkey access touch sensitive for the unlocking on the back of the door handle. less of a hassle to press the button both ways.
If anyone knows......? As I understand it, you can't change song on the steeringwheel if you have your phone connected through bluetooth. But if I'm not wrong, it should be possible if you connect a USB flash drive and use that instead?
@danshuynh About the 5"11 person getting in the back: LMMFAO!!!!!!! Grand Touring has a more softer ride than the Track model which is of course more track oriented then there's the R-Spec which is basically a Track model without cruise control, leather, nav, sunroof; basically a tuners dream, and skip the 2.0 if u want good performance and go for the 3.8. Kyle had a 3.8 Grand Touring model, check it out on his channel.
I always thought the GT's were top of the line trims for any vehicle seeing as how they have more features but, if you are doubly sure the track is the top trim, i believe you
@bmwmsport11 Yeah lets forget about the Elantra that one car of the year or the Sonata that won it last year....the GC smokes the 335i, the Genesis 5.0 smokes the 5 series...yeah lots of reasons.
Seriously guys, read the post I JUST made below. I know it's a V6. I was referring to the idea that kids get the low-level trim convertibles to look cool. On the Mustang, the lowest trim is a V6, on the genesis it's a 4 cylinder.
Right, but teenage girls seem to love the mustang v6 convertible, whereas men prefer the V8. Since there's no option for the V8 on the genesis, I'm assuming most kids would get the cheaper 4 cylinder option.
@Moreno53 did you see the vid by motor trend with the drag race between the LFA and GTR? The LFA won. And the Hyundai genesis 5.0 r-spec is basically a high performance sedan like the BMW M5. The 5.0 regular is compared to 550i and a 3.8 is compaired to a 335/535i. So between the M5 and the 5.0 r-spec, M5 wins.
@Moreno53 the Infiniti is not that bad, If you think about how the Hyundai knocks like hell when it revs. I agree that the m3 is the best, but when you only have $35k to spend on a car, Hyundai is the way to go.
@SpeakerZoNHigH yeah dont rush to get one though bc like he said in 2012 its gonna be like 330hp and soon possibly AWD and possibly might get the V8 with 400+hp in the next 3 years O.O
@Moreno53 the only thing that makes a Hyundai worth buying is it's warranty. That's it. The only hyundais worth buying without a warranty is the equus and the genesis.
this car would look awesome in black
i just bought it in black :)
@@louchsquad i had a black one too. Now I'm looking for another one with a V6
I have that car except smaller spoiler and it looks so different In person
@@PatelCats in a good or bad way ?
@@pontiacGXPfan the 3.8 is a v6
Great review. You make me want to buy one!

One of the only foreign cars I actually like. The track model is really cool.
You might not answer this, but I figure I would ask, have you ever regretted not buying the track model? I was just wondering, because I know sometimes people look back and think to themselves that they should have gotten another trim or something. Keep up the good work man!

This car has so much potential for upgrades.
I LOVE HYUNDAI!!!
such a sleek look to it. I love it.
This car is the reason I get up and go to work everyday. Someday soon I hope to own one of these.
Lol that's a lie
I love the way it burns the extra fuel in the exhaust, just makes it that much better
well presented, you must be a salesman.. this video made me make up my mind.. I purchased a 2012 Gen coupe 3.8 track in Nords gray. LOVIN IT..
The offspring @ 8:13 just made the video 100x better :D
Great vid as always Kyle! Love the Genesis!
Instablaster
My dream car! Hopefully I can save up to buy it in college like you!
did you ever buy it?
VVO wow, funny enough no I did not. I ended up cross shopping the GC with an Accord coupe 6-6 and ended up going with Honda back in 2014.
Totally got to drive a Yellow 2010 3.8 Track today. Quite an impressive car for the money!!
The Grand Touring is the top of the line trim level while the Track is below the grand touring followed by the R-Spec then the base 2.0T! he also points out the the rear parking sensors and also chrome trim being absent from the Track on the front fascia

Absolutely gorgeous!!!
I just purchased the 2012 Track, awsome ride, I got the gray with blk leather, automatic. navigation.
Hey Kyle, whats that click click noise in the exhaust when you first start the car?
Kyle why is your genesis on the Car Connections website?
7:41 Infiniti sound systems in cars kick ass! They are right up there next to Harman-Kardon!

1:21, put your foot on the brake AND* the clutch. :)
great video as always kyle, so much genesis coverage lol
kyle what's that noise that goes ERRNNNT when you hit the push to start
bro i still have that question
@@Daltnation lol.
can you find a 2013 track model?
It would be cool if you could include the octane requirements when going by the gas cap
@TheDrewproductions the 2013 version is coming out very soon with a much improved engine with a lot more horsepower. If you're buying one new I'd look at that first. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

HEY EVERYBODY HOW'S IT GOIN. you know you're enjoying another saabkyle04 video
hey kyle does genesis coupes have a bumpy ride??
Hey Kyle, Do you Record your voice for the video?
Is there any rattling from the exhaust when you drive your 3.8?
1,000,000 subscribers!!!!!!!
SICK CAR!
what a beautiful car.........
Exhaust pops!
@datpimpinboy Explosions from the exaust. Post-combustion?
wrong the track is top of the line. it has lsd a spolier and much better brakes.
i have one and can confirm
i was just on the car connections website, why are you selling your Genesis?? :(
what's the difference between this car and grand touring?
Kyle Your voice is disappearing into the wind noise. It must be damn windy in SC.
how often do you have to charge your key fob ?
theres supposed to be a full redesign with a possible V8 + AWD in 2013 model
Is this the version that came on 24?
2010 are the best
Yes you can and it take about six Weeks to arrive.
i can't wait to see a comparison between this Genesis "Track" and the GT86 TRD or G-sports
Is that a stock exhaust?
Tommy Basara Yes it is.
please do one with a mazdaspeed 3!
This car is nice!
@saabkyle04 does the car has snow chain
@gtsimulator paddle shifters are on grand touring. That is a manual car. That would kind of defeat the purpose :-P
If anyone knows......?
As I understand it, you can't change song on the steeringwheel if you have your phone connected through bluetooth. But if I'm not wrong, it should be possible if you connect a USB flash drive and use that instead?
I can change the songs on my wheel while on via Bluetooth 3.8. I have 2012
Are the backseats comfortable?

Nice car!
@TheSCR1899 Any day of the week man any day!
the 2008-present Hyundai Genesis Coupe is assembled in
Ulsan, South Korea
@maxt999 beautiful backfire is what that is! I love it!!
@datpimpinboy It just does it in neutral, when revving it near the limit RPM, but it doesn't do it while driving
what is the song called at 10mins and 36 secs?
@TheEddy1122 I believe it is "Legs" by ZZ Top
I always thought the GT's were top of the line trims for any vehicle seeing as how they have more features but, if you are doubly sure the track is the top trim, i believe you
Gamer All901 No, the ultimate and r-spec
Do you know what the mechanical sound is from behind the gauges when you start it? My 12 3.8 does it too. Not sure what it is.
@bmwmsport11 Yeah lets forget about the Elantra that one car of the year or the Sonata that won it last year....the GC smokes the 335i, the Genesis 5.0 smokes the 5 series...yeah lots of reasons.
I would buy this car, but with automatic transmission
the automatic is a zf tranny

Oh how this comment hasn't aged well
i also think 2013 models shud come with some packages as well.
Kyle, why you selling your Genesis???
@integraz32lover2 it's not his. his genesis is an automatic while this one is a manual.
Right, but teenage girls seem to love the mustang v6 convertible, whereas men prefer the V8. Since there's no option for the V8 on the genesis, I'm assuming most kids would get the cheaper 4 cylinder option.

Good lord. Did you read the original comment I replied to? He mentioned the idea of a convertible genesis.
@jsiszero It burns excess fuel in the exhaust pipe, like some Mini Coopers do, which gives it the popping noise when it Revs or Downshifts :)
@Moreno53 the Infiniti is not that bad, If you think about how the Hyundai knocks like hell when it revs. I agree that the m3 is the best, but when you only have $35k to spend on a car, Hyundai is the way to go.
can you get one in a 1.6?
@theComedyDylan Because he said his car payment and insurance is over 500 a month I believe. And he couldnt see paying that,
I am going to buy me one, track model, awsome car for the money..
nice car!
@SpeakerZoNHigH
yeah dont rush to get one though bc like he said in 2012 its gonna be like 330hp and soon possibly AWD and possibly might get the V8 with 400+hp in the next 3 years O.O
Is this car reliable?
@Moreno53 the only thing that makes a Hyundai worth buying is it's warranty. That's it. The only hyundais worth buying without a warranty is the equus and the genesis.
@jsiszero happens when cold, i don't exactly know why... maybe it has something to do with the build quality, who knows.
How much this car
@Pendragon1989 yeah i saw it on facebook because that rude kid told me to go there and look. thanks for being helpful!
As Han in F&F Tokyo Drift says "What, you think imma let you roll in a Hyundai?"
do a 2011 kia sorento
@2004chevybrandon1 that's the ignition
not released in australia, but I think it will be a nice car
@datpimpinboy That means the engine works good, as it's used to scare people by the street
Hola tengo una pregunta?
@Thesuperblack22 Hey man, not my fault the stereo is lame. If it had a 75000 watt stereo it would add 100hp!
LOL @ 1:33... *revs* *sounds like engine falling apart* "very nice..."
wait theres no aux? or am i blind?
in the center console
