- Brought over from across seas the Equus is supposed to compete with larger luxury sedans of 50+ dollars. With a 10 year 100,000 miles and some of the best value for money you can buy, the Equus is a great contender for the market of a quality luxury sedan. The only way to truly appreciate the efforts and quality of craftsmanship put into this flagship is to check it out in person and I strongly recommend it. For people that love value for money, the Equus just about the only choice. They are just now arriving into showrooms. In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Hyundai Equus Signature. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
Hyundai or not that is one Beautiful car!
Sexiest car I have ever seen
The sound system is the same in the Bentley Muslanne wow! I'm sold!
This car is amazing we have a white one I am in love with it I recommend this car
They're a steal used now
hey do you still have it? I want one so bad but donty know if its worth at this age.
@@vulted_9572i just got one and i love it
The Equus looks great so far. I'm sure that many loyalists to established brands will doubt its success at first, but then again Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti were newcomers to the world of luxury cars only 2 decades ago and they turned out to become respected and highly-regarded brands over the last 20+ years, especially Lexus because of all the variety in their lineup.
One of the greatest cars
Who's here after watching Hoovies?
Weird considering this is 4 years ago. Lol
lol I am
dude u make the best car reviews ur the best
This Equus puts the LS460 to shame with it's more powerful V8. Hyundai is slowly weeding out the fake luxury car makers and offering more for less.
The interior on this car is amazing! Softest seats ever!
So soft, when the dealer by me had the car on the showroom, someone feel asleep in it. :D
Even in 2017, with the look of this car and with all of the features plus the 400hp V8(2012) this is still the single best used or preowned buy(or steal??) in automotive history!!!!! Love it!!
@throathammer1 The motor went out.😂
@@fatsog123 like went out to the bar to get a drink? Or what? 🤔
@throathammer1this is the best used car to buy no lie
I have one... they are beautiful man!.. mine silver black interior... all the gadgets this video just helped me learn my car more.
Any issues with owning this car?
Saw two of these where I work and decided to look it up. I’m surprised that Hyundai, out of all brands, made this masterpiece. This car is the foundation of the genesis brand
you make the best car videos i have ever seen!
i cannot believe it is a hyundai!
Kyle - thank you for doing this video..I have been wanting to see what this car is like inside for a while knowing it is being compared to a Mulsanne..your indepth tour was great. Thanks!
Nice video once again Kyle. Beautiful car.
Finally, an awesomely useful Equus video! Thank you for the very competent and watchable demo!
Great review.
I always enjoy your videos. They are always well done.
I look forward to your future reviews.
Keep up the good work.
WOW This car has more luxury features than any German rival on offer I'm sure! If i was in the market for a luxury car this would be top of my list. Hyundai have stepped up and pretty soon they'll be overtaking the competition in terms of features and price. People who care about brands aren't car enthusiasts. A true car fan knows a good car whether it has the name or not!
Nice review. One of the most in-depth reviews I've seen for any car anywhere. Good job.
Greatest car of ALL TIME
beautiful car and beautiful attention to detail in the interior.
wow I need this kinda sales person for my next car purchasing.
He knows everything about this car!!!
Keep up the good work Kyle! What an amazing flagship Hyundai has come up with!
kyle, every video you make gets more and more awesome! thank you for sharing these videos with us!
Very enjoyable to watch. Felt like I was right there.
Whhy do people say this car is a Mercedes copy? I bet you a Mercedes break down more and cost more for maintenance..every time a company made a luxury car people say its a copy, its a car and its luxury that made it Mercedes ya ignorant fools?
This is a amazing car. Thanks Kyle
These are massive bargains that are worth every single cent. Bought mine with 44,000 miles so it classified as certified pre owned with a three years warranty and it was 12,380 dollars for it...and my God I absolutely love it. Smooth, luxurious and if you put your foot to the floor you will be flying down the highway (and the sound system is God like)
Do you still have this car...Has it been reliable?
I've got to say, this thing is absolutely gorgeous inside and out- and that chime- I could listen to it all day! I'd take this thing over a BMW, Mercedes, or Jag any day! It looks better than all of those!
Awesome vehicle why spend more on a S-Class or a 7 Series another masterpiece from the 5th biggest auto manufacturing company in the world Hyundai, vehicle is so classy.
your deluded
I remember old Lincoln Town Car's from the 80's had those dual window switches on the rear windows, except without the sunshades of course. Just like that white one Kyle did a few months back.
Love that folding mirror feature.
1:56 this chime is annoying
beautiful car!
after i watch this video i swear i just went and bought it
Hyundai is getting better and better every car they make!
did you guys hear at the end how quite this thing is WOW I AM IMPRESSED
@LoveTheCity123 It's not really a rip off because this car doesn't even compete with the 5 series or E Class. It competes with the 7 Series, S Class, Audi A8, Lexus LS etc. You are probably right about it maybe becoming rare because we Americans like to get caught up in brand names. That's why I think Hyundai should have made a separate luxury brand for cars like this. Many people are not gonna want to pay so much money for a Hyundai.
The features are endless on this car. Definitely Hyundai's greatest car!!!
The more I look at it the more i like it
1. You would have to be blind to think the Equus lights are the LS's. They're completely different!
2. The MB grille is also used is many other car brands. However, Hyundai has used it for some time now, the grilles look very different in person. It isn't completely MB.
Just because it's a Hyundai/KIA doesn't mean it's a copy. Anyone want to tell me a car that resembles the current Sonata? Santa Fe? Veloster? Elantra?
lovely car thanks kyle i really have been waiting for u to get to this car, great interior, a exterior (the front looks kinda ugly) but all in all a brilliant car and a great video
Wow, that's really luxurious.
Great looking car with lots of techs.
Great review, well done. Can u do a camaro test drive?
I like your video and the in depth walk around...do you think you could include a test drive to go along with your videos?
@saabkyle04 great video!! i love this car, its beautiful.....what type of camera is that you are using?? its has a great video and sound quality!!
Wow. This car is VERY Lexus like, if not better than...also, better than most other so-called luxury vehicles, for sure!
Beautiful car, beautiful engine! I love it :)
wow Hyundai is stepping up their game
Absolutely a outstanding car, it may even look the same if you compare to a 7 series, s class and MAYBE a maybach MAYBE. But you won't get the same touches, and quality as the same as the other luxury cars. Very good car though.
The AVG MPG is also in function when sitting still. For instance, the AVG MPG on my 2009 Chevrolet Malibu drops from 27 to about 9 if I leave it running for about 15 minutes.
The new Genesis/Genesis Coupe and Equus sure look good.
Yes is a Hyundai...yes, is a superb machine!
nice to see, took my coupe for an oil change yesterday but they didnt have one :(
@form109 Good point. But the Town Car is practically an icon. It's been around for a very long time & has a strong rep. for comfort, safety, & durability. Thats why limo co.'s & the police use these cars. It also helps that Town Car is the last sedan to be built body on frame instead of the conventional unibody
Yes the luxury and tech is nice and it is a good alternative to an S-Class or 7 Series but at the end of the day, it's a Hyundai. Why don't you see many on the road?
the 2009-present Hyundai Equus is assembled in
Ulsan, South Korea
to think you can now get this for $22,000
13k
6k
wooowww!!! is impresive how hyunday make a luxury car woowww!!!!!nice video
tbt to kesha at 7:40 I miss 2011
Now that the town car is gone and is being replaced by an MKT thing, this car will take over its place. Best cheap limo ever.
Hey Kyle did you check the glove box if there was a iPad in there?
does the hyundai signature come with the tv screen too?
fantastic video ...
How does one disable the ability to raise the other back seat window, move the passenger seat and the volume control. I'm thinking that if someone is seated it will detect pressure and it will override those or maybe by the center console. What is it saab?
I'm VERY impressed with new Hyundais. Have you read that Hyundai may do a spin-off luxury brand called Genesis just like Toyota did with Lexus?
Very detailed video I like that.
Those stylized "bong"s are a tad weird...incidentally, the Infiniti G35 auto-adjusts the driver's seat on power on as well. You may have even tested one, lol. This is a nice car, either way. I'd still take a Jag of the two, though.
jaguar will cry. BUT this car makes all backseat drivers happy, can control seatmates seat, as well as windows. i can imagine window wars 2011 now
What's the difference between the sugnature and ultimate?
A lot of this car reminds me of my 09 C Class. Seat buttons on the door are very similar, the menu system on the Navi reminds of the Comand system as well. I a guessing this trumps my Merc in material quality, I wondering how the build feels though. The ones things the Germans do well is making the cabin feels like a tank.
Thumbs up if you see Christal @ 5:45. Supportive ones are keepers...
i love this car... do you get to drive what car you want if you work at the dealer??
The emblem and upside down wishbone!!!! "Make a wish!" wish it was anything but a hyundai
LMAO that was funny!
Awesome car. I wonder how much you will be able to get one for in a couple of years from now. Whenever they hit anywhere in the 30's im getting one.lol
@beatlespersun well....coloumn Shifter standard and Floor Shifter Optional.....i know the Cadillac DTS has a floor shifter with an optional Coloumn shifter....so it sounds like a reasonal option to list,as for as the engine the 4.6 Liter is a very capable engine, and it has been used in higher HP Situations like in the Mark VIII where it produces 280-290 HP and the Maurader where it makes 302 HP...same engine, just abit detuned for the towncar.
Kyle how old are you? You look so young haha
Will they be getting an Ultimate anytime soon?
I've been thinking of how other brands have high-performance versions of their models like BMW with their Ms, Mercedes-Benz with their AMGs, Lexus with their new Fs, and it seems like Hyundai may soon have equivalents to them like a special edition Genesis or Equus that looks almost the same as its ordinary counterpart, but is a lot more powerful and faster. Kinda like the BMW M5 is a 5-series on steroids. Maybe they'll even have a V12 Equus and perhaps someday, a supercar!
That shifter is far too outdated for that level of vehicle. But I still want one.
i See alot of Similarities in the Equus to the Lexus LS 460....but i like it.
@Pabla98 the hyundai equus signature trim doesnt, but the ultimate trim does
damnnn this car features is decent, if Hyundai keeps this up there goin to give Lexus & Mercedes a run for there money lol
Kyle, you're my HERO!
XD
Hyundai is not playing with this Luxury car!
The only problem is, it looks way too much like a Benz. If they went their own unique way with how it looked, then they'd probably get 100% respect.
@NigguhJason I agree. If Hyundai wants to make a bang in the luxury division they need to design a car that stands out as that's the first thing that captures people's attention. The features list and warranty coverage is excellent though but I'd still never shell out the money to buy a Genesis Sedan or Equus, at that point I'd go European or maybe Lexus. If I was in the market for a compact car or a sporty little coupe I'd definitely check out Hyundai.
Bob Mayberry is world famous now.
Kyle.....you looked so young and handsome😎😎🙏🙏
@MBenzSL65 only problem is when companies do that, the price for the cars goes up and I really like that you can get such a high quality car for the low Hyundai price it has.
@MegaAudilover
they go for over $60 grand fully loaded.
@ilovecars1996 In Korea, the Equus is often chauffeur driven, and the owner sits in the back.
@datpimpinboy You can always count on your Benz to start there's no doubt about that. It's those little electronic features and details that can be hit and miss with those cars plus maintainance is key because if you lag behind in that it would become a restoration project more than anything. If your dad has the W140 then he's going to be just fine.
WHAT A CAR!!!!!!
People who knock this car brand and the car are very stupid.. Hyundai went from being just a car manufacturer to a fucking world leader and one of the best out there today.
That nothing surprising and resembles to the pictography of the Big Three decades ago where they had different emblems for basically every model.
@turnipweed I'm not debating the actual price of the car, but rather it's MSRP in relation to other vehicles in their line up. Hyundai is in for an up-hill battle, IMO...just getting people who are interested in this type of vehicle in the dealership door. Seeing a $60K Equus parked next to a $12K Accent does not send the right message. I've already seen this very thing first hand at a local dealer. And like it or not, Hyundai still has some stigma to deal with...certainly amoung luxury buyers.
@solarlightning If you had $58K to throw at a new car then you won't need to worry about the resale value. . . if you worry about that then you probably shouldn't be getting a full size luxury car. And the interior is on par with the lexus.
An I upgrade the mirrors on this for that of an ultimate? Id like more visibility on both sides.
