Yeah but it becomes bad when you realize that all those balljoints in his fists will need to be replaced. Happened to mine in 2020 but i opted for silver hero factory hands so he can hold his axe.
Honestly, I loved this set. I had my Axonn built for ages, and his arms and legs never got floppy. The huge hands were good for grabbing things, and all kinds of poses. Silver can't really be a con when its essentially the primary colour of the set. That's like saying that silver is a con in Bulk's sets. Plus, with the silver armour and crested mask, he looks a lot like a massive, axe-wielding paladin. As for blue pins... I kinda like them now. Sure, in some sets, they don't work, but I find that they're not too much of an issue. THey give things a more mechanical look, which I like.
I find the blue pins / red 2L axles give the impression that all these characters were assembled from the same set of standardized parts. Which... they were, both in- and out-of-universe. It's not a "con" so much as a core fact of the Bionicle setting.
Thats why I don't like watching Eljays reviews all the time because he does to much complaining and nitpicking same thing for the Brutaka video saying the pistons are useless when adds extra stability to the larger or bulkier sets not mention people say Axonns hands are too big but for me they fit his build especially the Axe. Plus hands are one of the dopest things about the set and, how he looks in the comics a armored powerhouse and his build fits the that description and his character.
I've got memories with this guy. 2006 was a... little awkward for me at the start with Bionicle. I'd found a new craze in Doctor Who which I'd been following since the previous year, and the whole 'Piraka Rap' thing and the 'hip' motif they were going for actually got me out of Bionicle for a while, since I felt it was doing too much older kid stuff that I didn't like (I was 9). Then this set came out. I saw it. It was FUCKING AWESOME. I didn't get it straight away but I KNEW this is what I wanted to have. So I got back into Bionicle, I even bought all the Piraka and I was so happy when the Toa came out. And then I got this for my birthday and oh my GOD he was so much fun; easily became my favourite figure. I know there's legitimate cons, but when you're 9 all you see is someone so fucking awesome he has a big, giant axe and MATORAN ARMS AS FINGERS. All my love.
Axonn and Brutaka are probably my favourite Titans. I love Maxilos and Takanuva too, so much, but Axonn and Brutaka have such solid and cohesive builds that make them feel intimidating and part of the universe.
I remember getting the Bionicle World book from book club at school in 2008. None of my friends or I had internet, so we only knew what we saw in stores, so when I turned to the page that had Axonn on it, we were mesmerized. He had hands!
Eljay without you my life would be empty but since i watched your review of exo toa the first time i saw it it changed everything i knew about the bionicles thank you
Honestly, I think you should stop saying colored pins are cons. They older black colored ones were discontinued, so this is a decision on Lego's part, not Bionicle set designers.
I'm okay with it. It gives things a more a machine-ish look, and blue pins look better than black ones on some characters, even ones that don't include classic blue.
Dan Gleeson And that's totally fine! Reviews are merely there to help you form your own opinions about the sets. You should always watch them objectively, and if you disagree with something the reviewer said that's a good thing! Eljay's only pointing out the things that people may have a problem with, not saying his con's are inherently bad.
I was so impatient to get this set when it was first shown, I tried to replicate this set using parts from my piraka and older sets. It obviously didn't look great, but I didn't care because I wanted an Axonn so badly.
Blue pins and other such seemingly discolored bits never struck me as off, or a con, in nearly any set (with some exceptions), as to my eyes, they come off as either a specific type of organic matter, similar to how veins and organs come in different colors, or a universal piece of mechanical body parts that are nearly always that color, for various reasons such as maintenance or material type, idk, i can just headcanon it away as a cool reason for a new color to be a part of the build
Ultimate Dume had articulated fingers. There was a special addition set that had his picture on the box, so technically, it's not just a combiner model.
Time to let you know :) If you are counting combiner models that were released as official sets, then Ultimate Dume was in fact the first Bionicle with articulated fingers. If not, then it was indeed Axonn.
Friction adders weren't first introduced with the Chima Ultrabuilds in 2013. They were actually introduced in 2012 with Hero Factory/Marvel Ultrabuilds.
im pretty sure that axxon was the first SET to have posable fingers how ever i think that ultimate dume was the first combo model to have them. the point im trying to make is that ultimate dume was the first bionicle to have fingers
Sad thing about Axonn is the parts of the fingerjoints are under a loft of stress. Mine was mostly a display piece and he got so stiff in 2018 from not being played with that those joints are cracking easily , :-( . I'm saddened by this.
The Web of Shadows movie made out it to be that Sidorak's...hooks on his right arm were fingers of a sort, considering he moved them in much the same way as his more normal-looking fingers on his left hand.
Actually all Axonn, sets dont suffer that poorly in the Axe arm. It really depends on parts quality if the shoulder socket on your set is be tight enough(not worn down after years) to stay still after adjusting the arm, but still, any flops if any movements are made.
Really good figure despite the gaps. But he suffers badly after 14 years of not being played/moved much and all those 10 balljoints in his fists alone will need to be replaced because the lost their friction or have big cracks. Happened to mine in 2020 but i opted for silver hero factory hands so he can hold his axe. I do miss the poseability though.
The oil used isn't polluting the atmosphere, so no not really. As long as you don't go scattering Lego pieces around in forests or dumping buckets of the stuff into the ocean it's all fine.
unless your family passes your legos thru the generations forever on or you recycle them your bricks are going to become trash someday so yeah, regardless of lego working with shell or not bricks are made from plastic, that comes from fossil fuel exploration that is not enviroment friendly especially in this case since shell is planing to do so in the artic.
Regardless of set to set, one flaw that the ball and socket system has is one that should be very obvious. Friction wears down the joints over time. All of my Toa Mata sets had very squeaky joints when I got them. Now they flop around. Hence why the friction pieces are used
I don't know if I had axonn or not... Like, I have 2 of his mask, but I know they came in other sets. I have found every single part of him bar his axe, but I have no memory of him at all.
I have a con for Axxon: SHORT LEGS!!! Using Vahki legs for legs are so short! Why not use Rahkshi limbs. Also, the Vahki limbs for arms flipped around doesn't look good. Flip the lower arms to the other side and it's just fine.
he is the first with articulated fingers. I believe the second is Hydraxon (which i hope you'll be reviewing) and later Takanuva from the Mistika/Phantoka era. I dont know of any others at the moment
I might be wrong but The Shadowed one had an articulated thumb. Granted its not much and he's a combination model. But The Shadowed One was released as a set similar to Irnakk or Kardas Dragon
Lo que no entiendo es que en el juego BIONICLE Heroes, a Axonn lo pusieron como villano, si se supone que era un guerrero de la justicia, y formaba parte de la Orden de Mata Nui.
I remember I got this guy, but I was disappointed because I really wanted Brutaka. Because honestly, Axonn is way too short to be considered a Titan set.
Axon is my favourite Titan from bionicle g1, the only thing I don't like is those hands. If I ever manage to get hold of him somehow which doesn't seem likely I'd replace the hands with something else, maybe just a technic connector as bland as they look they're practical. Or I could use the maxilos/brutakka hand design but I don't have any of those pieces
I think the ultimate Pro for Axxon is that he just looks so fucking cool. The whole aesthetic of his design is brilliant. It all works perfectly.
Big hands
i guess I am kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to stream new series online?
Anybody who thinks his long arms and huge hands look bad must be blind... Axonn is by far one of the best looking bionicles of all time.
Hear, hear!
Preach bro
Yeah but it becomes bad when you realize that all those balljoints in his fists will need to be replaced. Happened to mine in 2020 but i opted for silver hero factory hands so he can hold his axe.
The blend of Axon and Brutaka is just insaaane
He looks good but his hands still look like gorilla hands which just doesn’t really work for him other than that he’s great
Axonn, Axoff.
xD
had the same idea
*Axonn, Axofff
oh god... not that joke...
axonn't
vezon's got the mask, but fenrakk's got the teeth
Евгений Ш and they're hungry for battle
Lautaro Fuenzalida and they are hungry for pizza
But vezon has big teeth, and Fenrakk has a giant mask!
New giants from bionicle each set sold separately
Vexon's got the money, but Fenrakk's got the car!
And they are hungry for pizza...
Honestly, I loved this set.

Yup! He was probably one of my top 10 Bionicle sets, I loved him so much, don't care about any cons that somone says he has lol.
hip? really?
I was 6 when the commercials were released and thought they were friggin e p i c
What made you think they were older and "hip"?
The... The beginning scene... I just died inside... *heavy breathing*
Axonn and Brutaka are probably my favourite Titans. I love Maxilos and Takanuva too, so much, but Axonn and Brutaka have such solid and cohesive builds that make them feel intimidating and part of the universe.

Honestly, I think you should stop saying colored pins are cons. They older black colored ones were discontinued, so this is a decision on Lego's part, not Bionicle set designers.
At the end of the day it is still a con...
It's still a con whether LEGO had a reason to do it or not.
I'm okay with it. It gives things a more a machine-ish look, and blue pins look better than black ones on some characters, even ones that don't include classic blue.
Dan Gleeson And that's totally fine! Reviews are merely there to help you form your own opinions about the sets. Black worked better because it's colour-neutral. It doesn't interfere with the design of any sets and practically hides itself.
I believe the Ultimate Dume set had finger articulation, but I don't if that counts, considering it was a combiner set.
2:27, Ultimate Dume has articulated fingers, I believe,
And Toa Mata Nui.
“Lanky” is probably the last word I’d use to describe axonn
I was so impatient to get this set when it was first shown, I tried to replicate this set using parts from my piraka and older sets. It obviously didn't look great, but I didn't care because I wanted an Axonn so badly.
I think that if we count it, the first individual finger movements in a bionicle build, was Makuta Nui combiner from the Rahksi line.
Honestly my favorite bionicle set. He just looks so badass.
This is legit my favorite set of all time
Jaller I can't help you at the moment...can't you see I'm too busy holding this ping pong ball?!
-Haba427 Axon
God DAMN you're bringing back menories
whenever i see axxon, i always think of this line: STAND ASIDE TOOTSIE POPS!
i didnt eat the cookies in the jar. OH CRAP ITS HIM!
I don't get it--
lick dittle underrated af

Lego did have friction extenders in 2003-2007 with the rubber parts.
the high friction joints where in black phantom and stormer xl in 2012.
Ultimate Dume was the first set to have posable fingers
But technically U.D. is a combo model so Axonn is still the first
it came out as a set, too...
@@KickMyBucket. following this rule, there still is Sidorak.
If 2006 had a movie, I imagine he'd be played by Peter Cullen (Aka Optimus prime)
ahh one of the few sets I havent modded
I just gave him Onewas "Blue brain" for eyes
Ultimate Dume had articulated fingers. There was a special addition set that had his picture on the box, so technically, it's not just a combiner model.
You can sum him up with the following attributes:
-smol
-swol
-can see through your bullshit
Yes I stole that from r/bioniclememes
Ultimate Dume had the movable fingers
And that was in 2012 with the Super Heroes Ultrabuilds that we got the add-on friction pieces. Not 2013.
Time to let you know :)
If you are counting combiner models that were released as official sets, then Ultimate Dume was in fact the first Bionicle with articulated fingers. If not, then it was indeed Axonn.
Like your profile bro. I am a huge Power Rangers / Super Sentai fan.
***** He meant me...
.-.
+Joe Scibelli not anymore past joe
@@petercross1879 no. The metru line's came before the hordika line
Sidorak has two articulated claws on his right hand, thought it's definitely not a full hand like with Axonn.
the frictions joint were introduced in the 2012 breakout wave of hero factory or those weird marvel ones
guess axonn skipped leg day
xD
Mark _154 not foot day though
I think the gaps inbetween the pistons and the legs are fine because they look like something similer to the things chell from portal has
Friction adders weren't first introduced with the Chima Ultrabuilds in 2013. They were actually introduced in 2012 with Hero Factory/Marvel Ultrabuilds.
im pretty sure that axxon was the first SET to have posable fingers how ever i think that ultimate dume was the first combo model to have them.

Sad thing about Axonn is the parts of the fingerjoints are under a loft of stress. Mine was mostly a display piece and he got so stiff in 2018 from not being played with that those joints are cracking easily , :-( . I'm saddened by this.
Will there be reviews of 2007, like mahri and barraki?
I'm sure Sidorak had posable fingers - they had to get out of the way to launch that ratouka spinner after all.
It looks more like hooks to me, but it might be his fingers...
The Web of Shadows movie made out it to be that Sidorak's...hooks on his right arm were fingers of a sort, considering he moved them in much the same way as his more normal-looking fingers on his left hand.
A more appropriate example would be Ultimate Dume, who had much mUCH larger hands with posable fingers
when you do the Mahri, can you do each canister set individually?
"axon, why is it that I come downwards whenever I come up"-jaller
well aparently ;
0:16
It hurts...
No matter what any one says, I still love Axonn.
Actually all Axonn, sets dont suffer that poorly in the Axe arm. It really depends on parts quality if the shoulder socket on your set is be tight enough(not worn down after years) to stay still after adjusting the arm, but still, any flops if any movements are made.
I don't know if it counts but ultimate dume had articulating fingers very similar to axonn and came out in 2004
What areally friction joints?
Hey Eljay
Are you going to review the 2015 Bionicle sets?
5:43
we actually got the friction pieces in 2012 in the hf black phantom set. (in the upper arms)
Does his armor is in flat silver or pearl light grey, I can't find the true and it's even hard to know in watching videos ?
we got those friction joints in 2012 with the ultrabuild superhero sets
I think one more con you could add is the fact that he is Toa/Medium sized set just with some extra parts being prized and placed within Titan range.
This has gotta be my fave Titan I ever got, and part of one of my most fave years of Bionicles! Really want him again.
this is probably my second favorite titan set, with toa lhikan and kikanalo being my favorite.
I got this set a few years ago and dismantled him but recently i was able to rebuild him except i couldn't find his axe
Same, feels bad. No idea where to find another axe without buying a whole other axxon :(
Didn't axonn shoot fire from his hands? I have never heard of him shooting electricity from his hands
Either that or a powerful ray of energy
friction joints were hf 2012
Who is your favorite Axonn or Brutaka mine is Brutaka
What if you got 2 axons and combined them
This set brings back memories... now I’m gonna but it again 😭 this bionicle brings back memories
Is lego poluting the enviorment by working with shell,am I poluting the enviorment via buying lego sets?
The oil used isn't polluting the atmosphere, so no not really. As long as you don't go scattering Lego pieces around in forests or dumping buckets of the stuff into the ocean it's all fine.
unless your family passes your legos thru the generations forever on or you recycle them your bricks are going to become trash someday so yeah, regardless of lego working with shell or not bricks are made from plastic, that comes from fossil fuel exploration that is not enviroment friendly especially in this case since shell is planing to do so in the artic.
ConiFir do you love animal
he was not the first set to have fingers, there was ultimate dume (i know he was a combiner model but he later got a released as a set)
The loose limbs can change from set to set some joints are tight and some are loose so you’re could just be loose so that’s not a con
Regardless of set to set, one flaw that the ball and socket system has is one that should be very obvious. Friction wears down the joints over time. All of my Toa Mata sets had very squeaky joints when I got them. Now they flop around. Hence why the friction pieces are used
Didn't Sidorak have posable fingers? They could cover the rhotuka in his arm
The only con I have with Axonn is that the axle connecting the ax blade to the handle breaks so easily.
wait wait wait, you said "don't judge him" isn't that exactly what you're doing? im jk but i just thought i should point that out XD
I don't know if I had axonn or not...
Like, I have 2 of his mask, but I know they came in other sets. I have found every single part of him bar his axe, but I have no memory of him at all.
I know for a fact that I do not have Axonn, but I have every part of him except the axe, so that's entirely possible.
I had both Axonn and Brutaka, didn't have Vezok and Fenrakk though.
Excited for Brutaka. One of my favorites, especially with his backstory.
I think he a great set, even with his heavy limbs because his Axe is just so cool.
What do General Grievous and Axonn both have in common... they’re both shorter than expected
love the intro joke. Not involved, or very long. Perfect.
Axxon and Brutaka are amazing
The 2 best titans in my opinion ( i have both)
That's the only old bionicle I have I have all the 2016 toa
I have axonn he's so awesome
2:26 what about sidorak
I have a con for Axxon: SHORT LEGS!!! Using Vahki legs for legs are so short! Why not use Rahkshi limbs.
Also, the Vahki limbs for arms flipped around doesn't look good. Flip the lower arms to the other side and it's just fine.
Nah, none of the other limb molds really fit his bulky aesthetic as well as the Vahki ones do
His short legs fit with his theme of a short, stocky powerhouse. They look fine and nothing else would really fit that design.
The axe is the biggest pro, not a con!
The axe isn't a pro, it's a weapon.
he is the first with articulated fingers. I believe the second is Hydraxon (which i hope you'll be reviewing) and later Takanuva from the Mistika/Phantoka era. I dont know of any others at the moment
What about the limited edition toa mata nui that had articulated fingers
Titan Takanuva has posable thumbs only. Not fingers. Kardas had articulated toes though. And that was where it was at.
Callum Longley that set came later, axonn and others came before Toa Mata Nui
I might be wrong but The Shadowed one had an articulated thumb. Granted its not much and he's a combination model. But The Shadowed One was released as a set similar to Irnakk or Kardas Dragon
Ultimate dume.
One of the only sets from 2006 that I didn't own, along with Irnakk, Umbra and two of the playsets.
If hero factory ends in 2015 will you review them?
so what movie is this guy from because I don't remember him from the first and second movie
IcefireC67 None.
+CunningCondor welll... he was in those short online comic films that were on the Bionicle website if I am not mistaken.
Friction adders were released with the DC comics buildable figures like Batman or Green lantern
Lo que no entiendo es que en el juego BIONICLE Heroes, a Axonn lo pusieron como villano, si se supone que era un guerrero de la justicia, y formaba parte de la Orden de Mata Nui.
The Pistons on Axonn were not new there were some with them for example Rodoodka etc from 2004-2005. GOTCHA THERE DIDNT I ELJAY :D😂
2:17 that honor would go to Sidorak, and if you want to stretch it, Nidihki.
Axonn: He protecc, but he also attacc
"The metru red virgin of the piraka" makes sense not sure Why you would know that but i dont judge.. lmao
man i just read up on axonn damn hes powerful he almost rivals makuta
Great review Eljay!
I remember I got this guy, but I was disappointed because I really wanted Brutaka. Because honestly, Axonn is way too short to be considered a Titan set.
Is krika 2008 or 2007? Either way cab you do him?
Krika is '08, Eljay will do it with the other '08 sets. :P
when i was younger i thought this was norik on steroids.
I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay
I sleep all night and I work all day
I like to wear women's clothing and hang around in bars
He's a lumberjack and he's okay,
He sleeps all night and he works all day!
I wish I was born a girly, like my dear papa!
I need to read the comic were brutaka and axonn fight
So what do you think is the absolute worst titan in Bionicle?
Never thought I’d get a toy with “Yaoi Hands”
Axon is my favourite Titan from bionicle g1, the only thing I don't like is those hands. If I ever manage to get hold of him somehow which doesn't seem likely I'd replace the hands with something else, maybe just a technic connector as bland as they look they're practical. Or I could use the maxilos/brutakka hand design but I don't have any of those pieces
I like hands for me it adds a lot character for the build
Holy shit I miss these years :(
I had a chance in 2006 to get this guy. No idea why I didn't.
Leoxandar Magnus
Thankfully there is BrickLink and EBay :)
is axonn a toa? i could never get that strait...
Axonn is not toa I believe he's been around far larger before the toa have ever arrived
