NO WAAAAYYY - Vocal Sofa and her tricks
It's sarcastic song, but in sarcasm we can find way more truth that in our careful polite reality, I can relate to the story in the lyrics, but also it has playful vibe that makes you mood cool and in a way it's such an iconic song!
Album: Wish You Were Here
Released: 1975
Lyrics
Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar
You're gonna go far, you're gonna fly
You're never gonna die
You're gonna make it if you try
They're gonna love you
Well I've always had a deep respect
And I mean that most sincere
The band is just fantastic
That is really what I think
Oh by the way, which one's pink?
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy
We call it 'riding the gravy train'
We're just knocked out
We heard about the sell out
You gotta get an album out
You owe it to the people
We're so happy we can hardly count
Everybody else is just green
Have you seen the chart?
It's a helluva start
It could be made into a monster
If we all pull together as a team
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy
We call it 'riding the gravy train'

My favorite Floyd song
Are you sure you are not a dancer? The moves just make my imagination go off.
This is a lesson from our favourite teacher. Stay in school everyone ! And here are the pasty white Floyd boys laying down a greasy
groove that is deeper than a Louisiana Bayou. A great start to my Saturday, thank you from Toronto !
Actually not having anyone from Pink Floyd sing this song makes it feel like corporate management is singing this song to Pink Floyd. For me, that aspect $ells it to me.
Roy Harper is one of the greatest unknown singers of all time!
Hats off to Roy Harper
fortunately, i was introduced to him, in '69. lucky me
Roger Waters really wrecked his voice signing " Shine on" on the album and his voice was shot. He later said how much he regretted not singing it. Roy harper however did a great job.
Harper's voice fits the song well.
awesome band
Your energy is so contagious.
Additionally, not only do you have a great voice but also an amazing ear for music.

Great to hear Pink Floyd is your favorite band, it is mine as well. The Division Bell album got me through business school because it would help me focus when I REALLY needed to study :) I agree with all your comments on Roger, David and everything else about the band. Can you imagine the amazing music/art they could have made over the years if Syd did not have serious drug addiction issues? Such a sad story. All that being said... I love watching you geek-out over Pink Floyd. I saw David in concert (Air Canada Centre in Toronto) when he was on tour to promote his Rattle That Lock tour. He still sounds and plays amazing. I would have LOVED to be in Pompeii when he did the show there. I am going to search your reviews for more Pink Floyd reactions (sorry... class sessions ;) )
exactly ,what you say I 👍 agree
They speak about music interesting and how they smash the quality
Sounded like your pinky girl song has got a little Green Day influence Lol Great class! Have a goody good day/weekend! 💜😍🤘👄
Congratulations on 7.3 views. People are catching on to the best UA-camr music teacher in the game. YOU Rock!
Do YOU have FOO FIGHTERS Greatest Hits on Vinyl? I got it for YOU because YOU rock it hard! Hit me back so I can send it to YOU!
Really good understanding of the lyrics and a great reaction, This is a must hear for any aspiring musician looking to enter the machine. This is exactly the kind of people you're gonna be dealing with. Helps that it was presented in an awesome song.
Its a pretty funky song, Floyd could groove when they wanted to: see Another brick in the wall or Money.
Great editing of the Pink Floyd exhibit.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
With all the interest in Kate Bush and her song "Running Up that HIll (Make a Deal With God,)" thanks to its use in the Netflix show "Stranger Things," you might want to check out an earlier song of her's, from her first album, "The Kick Inside." It's a very short song, but it's so incredibly beautiful: The title is, "The Man with the Child in His Eyes."
I have 3 PF posters in my room. The classic DSotM prism, the Wall movie screamer, and the Ummagumma cover. My favorite album ever is The Wall. I love Keep Talking and High Hopes from TDB
Always enjoy your playful audience interaction - It would get old, if it didn't seem to come from a true interest, true experience and a thoughtful examination of your subject. The way you knife Roger's insistence regarding his vocal capabilities was sublime.
Your accent is adorable.
Great video, your voice is good too. Can you sing along with the music one in a while, please.
How right you are to have Pink Floyd as your favourite band! This band is phenomenal. There’s no limit how long I could listen to them. When I listened to Have a Cigar for the first time, I really could imagine being in front of a big machine controlling everything, quite threatening bur fascinating too. An amazing song. You are crazy - in a good way - and I love your reactions 😍
I still remember my family moving to the suburbs when I was about 6 and a friend inviting me to his house and seeing my first Pink Floyd album cover...which was "Wish You Were Here". This was the first of their albums I heard, and I love your reaction to this one!
Have a 🚬
Exelente video, me gustó mucho, very serious!! 👏👍✌️😎
This is great, love pink floyd!
You are so adorable....🌹🌹
The band members have discussed that "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" was about their original singer, lyricist and guitarist, Syd Barrett. While they were recording this album at EMI studios (Abbey Road), the band saw that a heavy-set bald man came into the studio and was just hanging around. The band members later learned that it was Syd Barrett. Another really incredible thing was the album artwork that came with the album (something that was a terrible loss with MP3s and CDs) were these incredible photos. What you need to remember is that this was DECADES before the invention of PhotoShop! That phenomenal art work was done either on-site and or in the dark room!
I just found your you tube reaction channel & it was great to watch & listen to your review☺ . This song has a serious "tone" throughout & Roger wrote such powerful lyrics back in 1975, even now in 2022 they are relevant! Also Great to see that photo of Syd sitting there in the recording studio while PF was working on the album! ☺
Very astute analysis serious teacher. Oh by the way, which one’s hotter? The guy on fire on the album cover……or IYOU? 😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh, Baby!
y la groovea y todo genial
Roy Harper sounds a lot like David Gilmore and Roger Waters mix, IMO. Great Song!!!
Pink Floyd... The Best for ever!!
I think your critique of Roger and David was very accurate. 👍😎
She's got moves BETTER than Jagger. 💥💥💥👍
back at it I'll be your cigar with a geteir, hey love your obsurd quirk ,. 🌹 I don't know how too spell let alone cigar ,but love ya
Thanks for posting !!!
👍 thanks. Love High Hopes but have a great feeling with Marooned and… Wearing the inside out. Out of the Division Bell, Comfortably Numb and Pigs (3 different one). But it’s hard to choose because it can change a bit with how you feel at the time you’re listening and during your life. As I remember, Wish you where here is the first album I could buy the day it became available. But I got all of them.
Definitely a unique reaction,in a good way. I want some of whatever your on..Amused to Death is a great album, and Radio K.A.O.S. wasn't to shabby,The Pros and Cons of Hitch hiking was a blast. Thanks for doing this one, and have a wonderful day
New subscriber here. Love your reaction. While we're at it, I love your accent too 🥰 Keep up with your tricks. 👍
Hello Teacher sorry I rolled my r's😀I always knew as a kid that PF brought in additional singer to sing this song.I knew David's voice and Rogers as well.High Hopes is my song too I would play it anywhere there was a jukebox with it.I have Pulses and Dark Side of Moon.Your mesmerizing hands and eyes are hypnotic.YOU did a great job splicing in Pink Floyd expo from L.A.
You do an amazing singing interprétation of this song!!
Love the accent, weird folks would make a joke about that of all things
I can barely see that cassette, but I know it's 'Live After Death/Iron Maiden' 👍
Ok, so you’re pretty much smokin hot
Roger was/is a terrible singer. But the parts he sang, especially on Dark Side and The Wall, just wouldn't have been right without his particular vocal style. He's said he regrets not singing this himself, as much as I love Gilmour's voice I do think this song was more appropriate for Roy than either Roger or Dave. Especially since this is sang to the band from the pov of a record company executive, it required an unfamiliar voice, but it still sounds like the floyd. I wouldn't change a thing. And your accent is 😍😍😍
Agreed 👍 . The story I heard was that David tried singing it first and listening on play back said NOPE and I personally love the fact that it's someone outside the band who sang it
@@BoomerandZoomerReacts yes and most everybody thought it was Roger anyway according to Roy. Couldn't have been any better.
Que buen gusto tiene esta chica.
sólo lo.mejor. 🤘🇨🇱
Your ❤
Check out this old song with only 2 notes UT gets everyone moving.
Title:
You Really Got me.
I think by the kinks?
how dare you not make dimash's reaction!
Great video, your voice is good too. Can you sing along with the music once in a while, please.
Ti amo sempre🤗😘
You want a Surprise??? Check out Child in Time by Deep Purple Live ‘70 Trust me.
Maybe you can check the playlist and surprise yourself
@@IYOU Nice reaction, the live version is on another level compared to the studio version thou. Pure raw talent. Ian Gillian was amongst best nominees for greatest voice in Rock along with Freddy Mercury, Paul Rodgers and winner Robert Plant. Check out Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple you’ll enjoy👌🏻💜
Give me some of that you're on girl
What a great song to slam record company's. One great line " the bands just fantastic by the way which is pink". obviously knows nothing of the band. " it could be made into a monster if WE ALL pull together as a team."
👍👍👍👍👍
When you're accent is like a cigar 😜
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🚬🚬🚬
I couldn't help but notice, teach, that you had your vid split & on the left side was a PF exhibit. Was that @ the RnR HOF or somewhere else? I believe it had the photo of Syd Barrett w/ most of his 60s hair shaved off & a faraway look in his eyes: rather haunted I must say. No wonder the rest of the band got upset when they saw him that way.
P.S. "Wish You Were Here" was probably their best & most cohesive album; certainly my fav.
P.P.S. I'm the same way w/ 'High Hopes'. 1 of the best songs PF ever did & 1 of the best closing songs on an album ever. Screw RW in this regard: the band still had plenty of talent w/o him & Syd.
With those hand movements, you are a different type of conductor.😂 Have a Cigar, not a secret message you are sending regarding a pregnancy is it?
Sometimes I despair, in my lifetime we went, Beatles to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and somehow got to Justin Bieber! 🤔
Lol, their is no hope for humanity where doomed.
You’ve heard this before it seems by watching you, so not a first time reaction.
Where did she state that this is a first-time reaction?
@@ruraljuror1734 touché and very true. The first time reactions are the best vs someone that’s just moving to the beat, but that’s just me; and yes I just moved on half way through as a result but left my first time reaction to this reaction.
Nick is "Pink"
Pink Floyd is fine-art. Instead of progress we are going backwards because our massconscousness is not able to give birth to an other band link Pink Floyd...let alone a better one...🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ Sad.!!!
Nick Mason has long said he thought Syd may not have been so 'crazy' as he was eager to just leave pop stardom behind him. He did not like repeating himself and playing the same hit singles night after night is exactly what band management and record company execs wanted him to do to promote sales - so there is a certain irony that the music scene that has developed over the last 2 to 3 decades has become so fixated on the creation of vapid, disposable pop stars ..
A demo exists with Roger's voice and i think it is not so bad. You are right he is not the best singer. Have A Cigar is a great song with an excellent guitar solo. Of course Roy Harper did an outstanding job and you too.
Roger, being the arrogant wanker he is, thinks he could have done this song better.. David, being the English gentleman he is, said Roy did the perfect version...
What accent?
Pink Floyd's protest song against the record industry. Hey, guys don't you know in capitalism it's just business. Wouldn't want socialism or communism would you?
If people actually knew what socialism really is they wouldn't fear it like the plague.
@@sportbikeguy00 I do & I don't fear it. Sweden's done just fine w/ it so I hear.
🇷🇺✌🇷🇺
I love guys like Roger Waters, worth 300 plus million dollars, but likes to complain about capitalism and record companies etc...Can we call bullshit on that?
U have a valid point there, can't have it both ways, gravy train , hangers-on, I reckon elvis had that problem.
Great video, your voice is good too. Can you sing along with the music one in a while, please.
