My new ThinkPad L13 yoga gen 3 has really terrible build quality and flexes a lot, don't get me started on how easily it's scratched. It feels like I could snap it in half. Therefore, I'm thinking of perhaps selling it and getting an X230 instead, with an eGPU, and I might do the quad core mod, and of course the classic keyboard mod.
hey yakov i got a weird idea i saw a video from tech yesterday making a xeon build with an oem mobo and oc using intel xtu if possible could you try giving the x5675 with some extra volts and oc it to 3.5 and then try oc using intel xtu (with the help of the extra voltage)to say 4 or 4.2 ghz or higher its just a crazy idea i have 0 experience so i was wondering if you are willing to try ik you gave it to your dad but i hope this could help you oc x58
hello, I have rougtly the same configuration (latitude 6430 with a I5 3380M, I am on a linux OS), and i have the same issue : I can't play on the internal screen ! -> I think it's probally an bios issue due to motherbord : it can support a soldering nvidia graphics cars (nvs5200) but this one aren't on ours PC and it make a black screen (probably a mistake of PCI adress) : if you connect a screen to the PC vga he detect's the computer but the screen stay black. I didn't know how to fix this issue without a bios mod, but if you had an idea I would be happy to hear it.
