Instructions come with the dock. But everything has its own, different plug so everything should be pretty self explainatiory except the location of WiFi card for your laptop. It can literally be anywhere.

Jamie Wells yeah. I does, believe me. But you have to beware of the bottlenecking. If you laptops cpu is weak (which most are), if your running a game that’s more cpu based such like high amount of objects, entities etc, because the cable that runs from your gpu dock to your laptop has a certain “bandwidth cap” , if too much data needs to be sent through, it’ll just crash your computer.

Great video man. Highly informative! I have one question. I've been playing fortnite on my Dell XPS 9560 but getting gradually more frustrated with the fps (between 50-120 but usually around the low end -It's only a 60hz laptop anyway!)

hello i had setup up epgu with the exp gdc ngff version with gtx 1060 3gb.So everytime i try to boot up my laptop wouldnt boot up but the gpu psu fan would be spinning for a few seconds but they would stop and i would get these annyoying beep sounds.Can you help me fix this error and btw my laptop is dell inspiron 14 5442.Thank you

Well, not only because the cable, the processor is also bottlenecking the gpu, so the answer is no. Better buy a new PC. Here are some parts that cost around 800 dollars: Processor : ryzen 5 3600 , GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660, Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus B450 Gaming, RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3200 Mhz , SSD: HP 500GB M.2 NVMe , Power supply: EVGA 80+ gold certified ATX power supply , and a case that fits your likings. I use a cheap segotep case, since i was really on budget. The whole PC is a great value, you can stream, record , edit videos and game. Hope I helped you.

You should build ULTIMATE 400$ gaming pc, i wonder how much power that would have!
Would this work on a old Dell T3500 server with SATA II port? I assume this would open up to more compatibility of cards since you are bypassing the motherboard's PCIe slot. Or better to add a SATA III card? (or Thunderbolt card and go with a Thunderbolt GPU) Also do you have to leave the existing graphics card in place? if this method were setup on a desktop? Or maybe once configured, you could remove internal card? (dealing with a limited slot situation).

Often the mini pcie slot is just under a plastic cover on older laptops, although some may require more dissasembly (my Toshiba Satellite has it under the keyboard, but this is not the usual location)

And yeah 4xPCI speed is enough for CPU to send drawing instructions to the GPU so where did you hear that story about "video signal from GPU having to travel back to the CPU" ? Hello bro i've an acer laptop (acer aspire f5). My proc is a i7 7500U and my graphics card a gtx 950M. My game starts freezing every 15 seconds and i respawn very slow, my textures in game charges 1 minute after i spawn (so i can't play). Otherwhise i have between 50 and 100 fps in game so i think it's the thermalpaste of my proc but i don't think i can change it. Also i deindex my hdd and my ssd so maybe it's because of that but it's supposed to optimize the pc so I don't think. Can u help me ?
