@@JS-oy6nn If they're on the east coast, they build saws predominately for people who do NOT use them professionally. I ran saws built by guys who build saws almost exclusively for timber fallers. Guys have been doing it since the 60s. Pick up a woods ported saw from Phil in Florence OR. He gets real results..
No chaps, no gloves, sneakers, no helmet, no ear protection.......Horrible example you're setting. Every time someone new to chainsawing sees someone without proper ppe it reinforces the false idea that it's ok to run a saw like that. All it takes is one split second of distraction and by then it's too late to change your mind on ppe.
That very 440 would have to be one of the best saws on the planet. !
Yup Scott loves the 440's!
Great stuff!
My FarmerTec MS440 was very close to MS462, both muffler modded.
good info. thanks!
Are all of these NOS 440's Scott's from storage?
Id take either one. Both badazz saws!!
stock 462 are nice and light but not big on bottom torque .
👍
Ordered me a 462 arctic yesterday...let's see them with an 8 pin!
the 462 vs 500i - 28" bar vid I just put out not too long ago was 8pin. it'll pull it
Redbull661 I prefer 7 pin with 28inch bar on pooped (ported) 046

@@calebwillhelm2635 Pretty much.
440 I thought were discontinued where or how do you find a 440 and what is the going price thank you
Brody Owens have a stock pile
I think the Arctic weights more
Do you know how I can get in touch with Scott at tree monkey ?
he had a heart attack back in june. not fully recovered yet.
Monkeyed saws, great fun
junk for homeowners.
You should dog them in and show what kind of torque they make. Most of the builders east of the Mississippi lack in that dept in my experiences.
InstaBlaster.
The 3 guys I have saws from build some extremely powerful saws. And Scott’s reputation speaks for itself.
