It's quite on the racket but it's got two big noises before you start cranking

On the cocking system, you said it is the first one of its kind? So that’s different somehow than 10 points cocking system which has been out for three years now? Just saying.

I read that this bow is not reliable. The string needs replacement after 30 shots. ...

In most cases Crossbow strings sit (or ride) on the rail that holds the bolt. When the rail is lubed properly it will not be much of an issue. Unusual string ware usually occurs if no rail lube or not enough rail lube is used. During practice, always use rail lube. If hunting, its typically ok to shoot the one shot dry so as not to pick up debris when in the woods. We see several customers that bought their crossbow elsewhere that ware out their strings much faster than they should because of the lack of rail lube during practice when they shoot many more shots. Most simply didn't know about the importance of it. Hope this helps.
I have an Excalibur that was made in 2017.
It’s only 355 fps. But I’ve only changed the string one time.
And I only changed it then because I wanted to not because I had to.
That's because the latches need to be polished which is no big deal. It's like flossing your teeth

the take down feature is a big turn off for me. i have had my matrix 355 for many years and have NEVER had any desire to remove the front end of my bow and if i did, i would just remove the allen screw to do so.
I agree and I have the Matrix as well. I guess some people want "simple and quick". I hunt on my own property so I never have to take mine apart, but for people who have to travel to hunt, I guess it's a feature they like. By the way, the Matrix 355 is sweet crossbow. Very accurate!! and powerful
New York and California cannot have the adjustable butt plate and for different reasons. In New York the adjustable butt plate would be a mass shooter weapon under Gov. Jokell law. In California the item could cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm under Gov. Gruesome law.
