  • Brand new excalibur bow sight in and review. I preordered this bow a few months ago and can't wait to put it to good use. Live action.

Excalibur makes a great crossbow. Got a brand new Exocet 200 13+ years ago for my 65th BD. Still killing deer with the Exocet; got a decent 7 pointer this past season. Thankfully even at 78 years old, soon to be 79, I'm still able to use the rope cocker.

    I got a Micro 340 last Christmas. It’s a great shooter. I can’t wait for deer season!

I recommend you buy a second one, also try using heavier bolts. My 360td pro is on its third set of limbs, in only its third deer season. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this xbow, it's just the fact that I've had three critical issues with this bow that has resulted in two weeks of downtime, two broken limbs and a defective scope. I love the simplicity of the excalibur crossbows, it just seems the micro series is prone to issues. I did recently purchase a micro 340td as a backup, hopefully no more downtime. Thanks for the review video, and I hope you have a great hunting season.

I don't care how great the warranty is, we should not have to be going through limbs this often. They should ship the bows with a free extra pair of limbs so there is no downtime during the hunting season.

The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need

Great bows for sure. Went through a set of limbs on my 355 micro as well.and defective scope. Excalibur always went the extra mile for me though in both cases.

If you are going to sight the main crosshair in 20 yards can do it in two shots.
    1) fire the 1st shot from a steady rest.
    2) put the bow back in the same steady rest and aim where you did the first time….while holding at the same point of aim and NOT moving the bow adjust the elevation and windage so the crosshair covers the first arrow.
Then fire 1 more while holding on the bullseye. You should be dead on or very close, Micro adjust if necessary.
Rifle shooters do this all the time.
    Super simple.

Ive got a tenpoint nitro rdx that ive been hunting with for around 7 + years and I just updated it to the new tenpoint trx 515 and absolutely love it but ive been thinking of getting something lighter that I can strap to my kuiu hiking backpack and im really thinking of getting the micro 380 , never owened a recurve xbow but for what I want I think this will drop a large red stag and I think with the lesser weight than my 10 points I could hike a lot further without killing myself... im going to get one and see how it goes
