I don’t know if anyone else would be thinking the same thing, but this is a very dangerous video for me to watch. I’m salivating over this riser!
Oulala!!! nice riser Steven......i think u'll be holding a medal for sure ..... once you fine tune the bow ...... good video and thx again :) you help make archery fun ...
Love hearing the native bird calls in your backyard (Australian Noisy Miner)
Hi Stephen love the look of the new riser :-) Question? 17 mins 48 seconds into video i noticed what looks like an arrow in the bricks! If this is how did you manage that?? :-)
Could you review Uukha Riser and Limbs? You are one of the best recurve bow reviewers and I would appreciate your take on this.
where can you get more of those protective stickers for your riser?
Is that an arrow in your house? How did it get there?
Hi, another great informative vid. Interested why you prefer tied on nocking points rather than the clip on type. Thanks. Don
I find on tied down nocks have a lil flex, tht brass clips don't have ......
Tied in nocking points are lower profile and dont mark the tab.
Nice shooting!
amazing piece of archery equipment. hope I did well when I bought the border tempest - this seams to be perferct to listen
i guess I'm quite off topic but do anybody know a good website to stream new tv shows online?
@Arjun Mohammad Try flixportal. You can find it by googling :)
@Blake Brycen Yea, have been using Flixportal for months myself :D
@Blake Brycen Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :) I appreciate it!!
@Arjun Mohammad Glad I could help :D
ITS GREAT RISER ITS GGIVING VERRY GOOD FEELING IN MY HAND AND ARM !!!! AND I USING THIS W & W TFT RISER MORE THA 1.5 YEAR LONG
How does the CX7 compare to this one?
Steven...new archer here, and I know this video is approaching 5 years old now, but my intention is to shoot competitively, I am retired (only 55 this year, but I am retired through long term health issues...) and my goal is to compete at the Invictus Games.I have a back injury (previous ly a broken neck and degenerative lower spine) and left shoulder damage too much Rugby, Aikido and falling off horses chasing a little white ball...) so high poundage each practice session (which will be every day regardless of arrows shot each session..) will need to be manageable thought a days competition. My question is this, is a Carbon bow (such as the TFT) more 'managable' for a para-Archer like myself or should I go to a metal riser. Granted I have yet to increase poundage, but no doubt that will come with the shooting sessions. I will still need to be competitive at club and hopefully regional competitions (I am still fiercely competitive, both against myself and others) so I need to shoot on the same level. I am not looking for 'easy' I am looking for manageable....I would really appreciate your thoughts, of all the YT archery presenters, you seem much more real life, and your approach is very much like mine.....
What draw weight are you shooting ?
Why do you shoot without a finger sling or sling of some kind?
I noticed some people shooting with out slings for compound. So I tried it with compound and my bow was fine. I tried it with recurve and fine. I don't swing my recurve when I shoot. I can feel the bow jump a little out of my hand on each shot.
Why is there an arrow in the brick wall of your house haha
What's the purpose of shooting the unfletched arrows?
It removes the steering of the vanes so you can really see how the arrow is coming off the bow (providing you are a good shot). If a bareshaft is shooting straight you know that your vanes are not having to do a lot of work to correct bad arrow flight and verifies that the bow is tuned correctly.
Great thanks
It shows you the tune of the arrow out of the bow.
Great review
but I kinda wonder why a retailer looking to sell the newest top end Win&Win bow would be comparing 1970's equipment and score's to today's top end competition equipment and saying score's were just as good then as now, it kinda say's to me that Joe/Joanna Average archer don't need to be spending $$$ on top end gear to be competitive and I kinda hear a whinge that people aren't buying $1000+ raiser's when they already have $900+ raiser's.
That is exactly what I am saying. However if you want a cool riser then this looks good. Now it depends what $900 is to you. I think for a Carbon riser with the finish the TFT has is amazing value. In fact I took risers to a car repair places to have them painted in a straight colour they want $800.
But most customers can't afford the TFT riser. Now if you can't afford the TFT riser then you will shoot fine with a cheaper riser.
Thank you for doing all the reviews - some of us really appreciate the time and effort that you put in.
Just wondering if you could do a review of Hoyt GMX/Faktor/GPX and compare to WIN&WIN or PSE XAppeal.
I wanted to find out about the TFT Riser... Yet the first 5 minutes if the review you bring up an old riser. Please Please Please. We know you love the old riser more than the TFT... If you do Not Like th TFT Why not just say so... Again you are stuck with colour & aesthetics... I was hoping to know about the shooting characteristics in comparison to aluminum, what is felt recoil like, what limbs would you recommend. Your points about paint are moot in comparison to actual felt arrow shot. You live in the past of Risers, as new technology arrives and evolves you denounce it... Sheesh. (Please refer to Jake Kaminski's review of the TFT of which I walked away with the helpful tangible information needed to make an intelligent purchase, not once did he bring out an older bow to bash the TFT)
