    I followed your technique and the ribs came out amazing! The part with the butter in the foil made the ribs unbelievably tender. Excellent video!! I have used your tips plenty in my gas grill and we tried this exact recipe with Maple syrup but it was a tad on the sweet side (for us). Second go round we moved to melting 1/2 stick butter, brown sugar, and a couple tablespoons of honey instead and spread some on either side before the foil step and brought the sweetness down some but still sooo good. If you like them sweet by all means do that but we're happy and I have to give kudos to the one who helped me get it started. Good stuff, Thank you!

    Thank you, Coleman! My fiance and I made ribs on our small Weber gas grill over the July 4th weekend and used many of your tips. The ribs turned out AMAZING. We really liked your ideas of using mustard as a binder; using brown sugar in the boat; and adding a water pan to keep up the moisture. We had to closely monitor our temps on our tiny Weber Q2200 grill (even have to prop open the lid to keep temps at 250 degrees), but the ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious. So, We just ate. The ribs flavor was amazing. I must have done something wrong, as the meat stuck to the bone. I use a Wolf Gas BBQ and it was reading 250F but i used a laser temp gun and it was 208 at the bars on the grill so i slightly turned it up to where the gauge read 275 thinking that was enough I did not want to over cook the ribs. This was my first try at this and had so much fun trying it. I will try again to figure out this puzzle. I think I just need more heat. Any tips are appreciated. Any day spent bbqing is a better day than at work.

    This is my first time applying my BBQ Wood Smoker Trailer 3-2-1 (3+2+1 = 6hrs), rib recipe on my Weber Spirit 2 gas grill; and your gas grill technique is PERFECT! You're correct on how gas grill temps "fluctuate." It's for this reason that I used my Weber iGrill 3 digital app-connected thermometer; and was able to monitor both the in-direct side of the grill and rib temperatures. Quick Note: I dry-rub seasoned my ribs overnight (frig) and got them to room temperature the following day and cooked them. The end result was a success! Thank you!

    Well Coleman great tutorial video, best out there. So I made 3 slabs today, ribs were from Costco, followed the directions exactly but ribs were not fall off the bone. After 7 hours hard to believe they were still tough.

    • @GrillinandChillinwithColeman
      @GrillinandChillinwithColeman  2 роки тому +3

      I have heard of this happening. Are you using a separate temp probe on the grill grates next to the ribs or just the one in the lid? The one in the lid will always show a higher temp than the temp actually is on the “cool” side of your grill. Could be as much as 75-100 degrees. I would also check the temp gauge in the lid fir accuracy. I have a video on my channel that will help with that.

    • @JohnS-um3lm
      @JohnS-um3lm 2 роки тому +2

      @@GrillinandChillinwithColeman It’s a lid thermometer but I feel it was pretty accurate. The ribs themselves were really meaty, they were cooked and had showed signs of pulling back from the bones but they were just tough.
      What I learned was don’t buy the ribs from Costco, while not cheap they always are really meaty and it seems like it’s hard to get them to just fall off the bone.
