Up here in Canada we can import these direct from Japan from the 2008 and 2009 model years under our 15 year import law. It doesn’t help much but we can pay $10k less than buying one locally. The best part is many of them come with aftermarket parts and accessories only available in Japan.

As a former employee at a Nissan dealer when the gtr was released, just letting you know it was msrp around 60-70k, but dealers would mark it up to minimum $100k
They said it’s to make up for the additional training for their techs
I remember 2 of our techs had to get specifically trained for gtr repair and diag
They got sent to, I think, California and did a week long course similar to factory training
But also it included one day being on track at a race course and learning to drive the car at “race speeds” in case they need to for diag purposes(and also some fun jic) as a bonus in the training.

I have my GTR down right now. Upgrading pumps, Injectors, full exhaust, Intakes and going flex fuel with speed density tune. Basically FBO. When you mention shooting flames got me excited as my tuner will add a Pop/Flame tune for showing out of course 😂. Hoping to put down around 600-650ish. Few more weeks and I cannot wait another second lol.

I have nothing against people who spend thousands on sound systems, but its the exhaust system in my vehicles that is music to my ears.
It's not about decibels. It's about the note, and Fluid Motor Union is the master of musical composition symphonies.

Agreed 110%!! Have you heard where folks take an 8 or 12 cylinder car, and pipe all ports into ONE collector and then out ONE pipe??? Wholly smoke they sound amazing!!

My son bought a 20 year old G35 coupe. Really a cool car, but the PPF on the hood was so old and dry that it had fractured into a million little flecks. I wish we had that steam gun when we removed it. Instead we just used plastic scrapers, goo gone, elbow grease, and patience. We hoped for the best, since the paint isn't cosmetically perfect anyway. In the end, it turned out great and the PPF did it's job because the paint underneath is near perfect. Great video as always!

I have a built wrx sti. Aftermarket everything from top to bottom with a closed deck engine. 450 whp daily driver. Just had a steering rack replaced, and caught the young mechanic kid taking my car for a joy ride on my Garmin gps/dash cam combo. I could hear his foot slamming on the accelerator on each shift. I'm now getting a valet tune.

The vinyls should have stayed. It makes the car look a lot better, the newer models of the car have changed the lower part of the rear because it was meh compared to the rest of the car. I don't get the obsession with having it looking stock.

NGL... working my dream job at the shop. all sorts of issues, all makes and models, and new challenges. I couldn't stay working on a single brand, cause everything is junk, and I like new/ different problems. I have a soft spot for English cars (rolls, rover, Aston,) but they are also junk. I've recently grown fond of lexus/toyota out of admiration and first-hand experience with them being less junk Not sure I have a real "dream car". I have an answer for many dream scenarios, but it be hard to single anything out lol.

I think you should pull all the wrap off, go back to factory and then change it (if you want to) to the way you want it to look, maybe just paint correction, or just a little LSC flair.

benzine is nice for removing stickyness from plastics without changing colours or affecting paint, i haven't left it on paint long so not sure of extended exposure though

Love Proclip. I have bought them for every car I have owned since 2013. They are the best, hands down. BUT..... I will argue that they may not be affordable for some, considering I have spent $80 on a wired phone grip more than once, and you still have to add the vehicle specific mount to that.

Buy a gallon of rapid remover. Put some on the after paint. Taillights. Around the exhaust. Etc. it’s mainly for removing the wrap glue. But you can basically get everything off the paint.

  • @danielgatlin4844

I bought a pick up with blacked taillights where they used some sort of spray on product. I pulled them off the truck and used carb cleaner to remove the stuff. Afterwords some plastic polish to buff them to a shine. Good as new.
