My son bought a 20 year old G35 coupe. Really a cool car, but the PPF on the hood was so old and dry that it had fractured into a million little flecks. I wish we had that steam gun when we removed it. Instead we just used plastic scrapers, goo gone, elbow grease, and patience. We hoped for the best, since the paint isn't cosmetically perfect anyway. The vinyls should have stayed. It makes the car look a lot better, the newer models of the car have changed the lower part of the rear because it was meh compared to the rest of the car. I don't get the obsession with having it looking stock.
You should ask OJ what's the cars he likes best to work and he's dream car ....I always find that interesting to now other people option .... great video 👍
NGL... working my dream job at the shop. all sorts of issues, all makes and models, and new challenges. I couldn't stay working on a single brand, cause everything is junk, and I like new/ different problems. I have a soft spot for English cars (rolls, rover, Aston,) but they are also junk. I've recently grown fond of lexus/toyota out of admiration and first-hand experience with them being less junk Not sure I have a real "dream car". I have an answer for many dream scenarios, but it be hard to single anything out lol.
I think you should pull all the wrap off, go back to factory and then change it (if you want to) to the way you want it to look, maybe just paint correction, or just a little LSC flair.
benzine is nice for removing stickyness from plastics without changing colours or affecting paint, i haven't left it on paint long so not sure of extended exposure though
Literally just watched all the GTR videos. I have the work ethic and would love to work my way up through the ranks so I appreciate the video!! Gonna send my resume to AMS now!!
Love Proclip. I have bought them for every car I have owned since 2013. They are the best, hands down. BUT..... I will argue that they may not be affordable for some, considering I have spent $80 on a wired phone grip more than once, and you still have to add the vehicle specific mount to that.
Buy a gallon of rapid remover. Put some on the after paint. Taillights. Around the exhaust. Etc. it’s mainly for removing the wrap glue. But you can basically get everything off the paint.
I bought a pick up with blacked taillights where they used some sort of spray on product. I pulled them off the truck and used carb cleaner to remove the stuff. Afterwords some plastic polish to buff them to a shine. Good as new.

OJ is my favorite mechanic
Another great video by an even better channel. A big thank you for showcasing AMS, one of the best performance shops in the U.S
Soo glad your keeping the gtr...I've waiting all morning for this vid to drop..I'm all about euros too,but gtrs are just bad ass...
Looks much better, never been a fan of tinting headlights. Your are in good hands with OJ.
I remember when AMS was in Arlington heights. The good ol’ Dsm evo day 😢
It's amazing how much I learn from Alex & LSCars!
AMS, I miss thier work on the Evo 8's. I remember the custom work they did and pushed the Evo to 1k AWHP.
Now that was AWESOME!
Great video!
