Tea could potentially have a higher oxalate content and should generally be avoided by people with kidney stone problems. Drinking plenty of water + eating a low oxalate diet is probably the best option.

Since my early 20s I’ve had chronic kidney stone formation/passing and just learned this year what foods were oxalate dense. I have eliminated them from my diet and have not formed or passed a stone since. GREAT ADVICE

Thanks for a very balanced presentation Q&A. So many people hate water and I found a way of enjoying it. I pour a litre, or fill a jug and let it stand a day. I drink it at room temperature and the chlorine has gases off by 24 hours. It feels smoother and I really enjoy it. Many thanks.

There is no way I can handle 3 letters of water a day. To me, there should be a difference between the size of people. Some say they drink a gallon per day. I weigh 113 lbs.

I'm 5'2" 125. 2 liters is fine for me. I have to stop 2-3 hours before bed or I'm up all night peeing!

Any specific advice for Uric Acid stones? I pass stones multiple times a week, yes that often and they are confirmed to be Uric Acid Stones!

I thought the high acid a.k.a. sparkling drinks cause more irritation. My husband is on a zero oxalate diet and after adding the sparkling waters he immediately felt kidney pain within a few hours

IF your urine citrate level was low 290 -- is it necessary to take Potassium Citrate ER to raise it or are there other ways to raise urine citrate level. above 450 mg/d ? In 6 months period had two surgeries each 2.5 hours long to remove a 6 and a 12.5 mm stone ( caOX stones ) . Told the surgeon we had to quit meeting like this-- his response with a smile to me -- " That is up to you " -- a Wow moment ! MY DAILY GOALS - FLUID 3 LITERS; SODIUM

What about sea and Celtic salt instead of sodium chloride. We need iodine in our diet. Sea salt seems to be a good option.
What about high dose vit D.

3 Liters is over killing it. I drink 2 liters and urine is always almost white in color, light yellow.
