    Great job on the rock scape, you nailed it! I love how the fish can swim in and out, but you also have major real estate for your corals. I just subscribed, you also have the best selection of fish. I hope you feel better.

    I took the foam cover off one of my vortechs and it has helped my tank a lot do not be afraid to change how you run pumps.

    Hi ,
    i had the 2k on my Kallax and i think the current is great 👌 1,5 sec in Wavemode. It's quietly and massively moves water.
    Greetings

    I have the first maxspect gyre 150 in a red sea 250 and it does makes amazing and strong waves. So this is not about the shape of the flow, but probably about your settings. I set the smallest duration of the wave to make then stronger here.

    Thanks for a great review. I like you have had them all. But not a gyre. Wanted 2 mo 40s for my new reef but the money is just too hard to spend. I went with jebao slw-20 (Nero knockoff) I really like them, but not enough flow for my needs. I’m torn between the slw-30 and the sdw16.. think I may have to give the 2 sdw16 a go. Feel like it’s the closest to the mp-40 €100.. why not.. 👍 anyway you put me off the gyre and I’m thankful for your opinion.

    Hello! Would you mind sharing what max intensity you run your 360x at and approx. how high from the water line they are? I'm having trouble with my corals and I think my light is either too intense or too close to the water. Cheers!

    • @nathanqwerty1
      @nathanqwerty1  3 роки тому +1

      hi, i run mine at 8 inches off water line, 13 hour light cycle with 8 hour max intensity ramping either side, run 100% colour on max intensity and 20% colour on the ramp times. do you have the narrow reflectors? they make a massive difference as you get 3x more light intensity from them.

  • @richishere82
    @richishere82 3 місяці тому

    How the hell do you run it on 100%. I have two and van only run it on 10 and 20% in a 4 foot tank . If i put in on 0 tp 100 its way to much

    If you buy the reverse propellor for one side of the pump, then the reverse will work as you would like it to. With the stock propellors, it won’t be a true reverse, just turbulent flow moving back into the pump guard.

    Got 2 gyres on same tank cant fault them however they aren't the jump ones. The directors you can get are a massive difference though i saw Mr salty selling them for the jumps maybe something to look at as you can get them near to surface then

      @@nathanqwerty1 Nathan, Maxspect replied with "you should be able to, please follow the video and try harder?"... anyway, someone in a group shared a video showing how to do it. You need to use a screwdriver to remove the plastic rotor bushings.

      Copperband is really happy eating like a pig on everything i put in and is really healthy so reckon he will be fine and do really well, as for too many fish i have to disagree as my nitrates and phosphates are hardly detectable, all fish are really happy and get on with each other very well, such a peaceful reef.
