You said it. the 6k is sharper as for the pocket4k is way more softer. For me the advantage goes to the pocket 4k for that reason. The over all creamy look gives this caméra an Arri look that no other caméras can imitate. If your going to be a filmmaker and have less budget go 4k. If you gonna do products, promos, commercial.. invest more money & go 6k.

I can appreciate the perspective of someone whose skill and budget have outgrown MTF, but I can equally appreciate that of someone with skill and/or funds limited to HALF of the 6k plus rigging and power budget, and thus opt for the 4k. In the end, it doesn't matter what we create on or what sites approve which cameras. It only matters that we create. Not having anywhere to crop in post does wonders for necessity, the father of invention.

I agree that investing in new gear for MFT isn’t the most future proof, however the quality provided for example by the BMPCC4K, is incredible. A lot of underestimated lens combinations. You have to think outside of the canon-box ie F>BMPCC4K metabones adapter paired with Zeiss ZF.2 as well as some special Nikkor lenses (17-55 DX is the best photo zoom lens I have ever used for videos.
Also reminder that Tilta’s flip screen modification to the BMPCC4K and 6k gave these cameras an extra 4 years of innovation: The tilting action is better than the one on the 6K PRO and allows you to have an internal NVME SSD. Food for thought!

The Pocket 4K is a great camera, but the 6K is objectively better as I said many times in the comments and in the video. To me it just sounds like people never even tried the 6K and they just claim the 4K is better because of an extra stop of light using the speedbooster. I can also use Nikkors, FDs, Leica R and many other vintage lenses on my 6K without having 2x crop. Again, not saying the 4K is a bad camera, it’s great, but the 6K is much improved and once you put them side by side you will never go back to the 4K.

Overall it's a really solid camera, for the price. But you have to be aware that your subjects need to be well lit, if you want to have a stellar image quality

As a current MFT (GH6) user/owner of many cameras and a Fan of your work for some time now, I have to agree and sort of disagree with you Matteo, everything you mention is true, my MFT lenses are JUST for MFT cameras, I love my Lumix Leica glass but I can't use them on another system, I recently went for the Sony FX30 (was a Sony hate, even using the higher end models) just for curiosity, I really really like it, its a fantastic camera, I love how my Sigma 18-35mm looks on my GH6 with a speedbooster, it has more DOF because it's slightly wider than the 1.56 crop on the FX30 but the look is more pleasing IMO on the FX30, can't really explain why, but the part where I disagree (sort of) is that the MFT is still a great and fantastic system and I will own it for cameras like the GH6 which is outstanding and probably future cameras to come, I really want to add a P4k just for fun, I've used it plenty but never owned it, and I do want the P6k too, So far the Sony system is awesome because there is room to grow further If I want and need.
P.S. I do know this video was your personal opinion on why YOU wont go back to an MFT system but I just wanted to share my thoughts too, cheers buddy, love your work!

Hey! Yeah I said it in the video, my biggest concern was developing a solid lens set that I could use on any camera and that was not possible with a MFT camera. I think many people have no idea that you can’t use Leica R EF with an EF Speedbooster. Rear element issues and you can’t focus to infinity. If you want to use Leica R with a metabones you need a Leica R to mft speedbooster. Honestly? I was so tired to be trapped in this speedbooster thing and i did my testing. Even tho the metabones does an incredible job, it still not the same as having a native lens on its native mount. In my case is much better to have an EF Lens set and both my A cam and B cam EF. Still, with the Pocket 6K you have improved noise level and skin tones, smoother roll-off, better batteries and tiltable screen. For me it was a no brainer to get a S35 Pocket :)

Interesting Matteo, sounds like you're still more a fan of the 6K than the 12k even?
I'm using a P4K with Zeiss Milvus f1.4s (nikon mount with ef adapters) and LOVE the look I get. I use them with and without a metabones .64xl. My choice was with the future in mind. I lean more towards to the Ursa 12k than P6k as my next purchase (either way I'll keep the P4K as a second cam). These lenses will work on either plus many other cameras, but they're still amazing on the P4K. Only real limitation with the metabones is you loose edge to edge sharpness on these otherwise sharp lenses (nb, they're not overly sharp like sigma for instance) and focus roll-off isn't as sweet but it's quick for me to switch adapters and I find the system works really well for me.
I'd love to try them on a P6K or Ursa 12k!

I don't like EF neither. It's physically better than MFT but it's still a bayonet mount. I was happy with EF for more than a decade (on stills) but now it pisses me off how many lenses tend to move slightly on the mount when touched and how hard it's to mount relatively big lenses like a ZEISS LWZ.3.
Now Canon is probably killing EF slowly with RF. Although, they still apparently support the EF cine lenses and cameras. I have been wondering if this is a threat to the existence of the EF mount on BMD cameras. Or perhaps it becomes the new M42 mount and keeps living.
I guess I'll just keep using EF because it's a convenient way to share smaller lenses between stills and video cameras. B4 (prime) lenses have a too small image circle, PL lenses are super bulky, and E mount is good only if you go all-sony.

I'm sorry, but there isn't a lens you mentioned I can't put on the pocket 4k; however I can't put the MFT lenses on the other cameras. Translation MFT has MORE lens options than the other DUE the it's mount adaptability, AND if I ever need a tiny lens to use in a limited space then there is always the option to switch to a c-mount and shoot in super 16 mode. Yes, super 16 mode is only 1080p, but IF Blackmagic comes out with another MFT camera I would hope it's a higher resolution.

Still, you have an incredibly small sensor with 2x crop that will make every lens you could think about it way too tight. A 24mm canon fd will become a 48mm, a 50mm will become a 100 and so on. So unless you buy a speedbooster for every single mount you are stuck with native MFT lenses. Forget about Leica R, Nikkor AIS etc.

Typically 1 of those is less expensive than buying a second lens and makes any lens for the given mounts pull double duty achieving multiple field of view equivalents. Often I need to shoot on small gimbal with zoom lens so for that I used 4K without cage with v90 sd cards, on regular battery and with olympus pro 12-40 f/2.8 + tilta nucleus. I have so much possibilities with this system and it is very lightweight. The same setup but on 6K weighs 2-3x more and is unusable for a long shoots without any support system. Also I can easily switch to great meike cine lenses that I bought a set. Unfortunately cine lenses for super35 or LF are incredibly big and heavy.
