I wish I got 15 mpg on my LC100, I'm feeling good when I get 12 to 13, also I think ATRAC is only supposed to kick in on 4 lo, stability control will kick in on 4 hi. Also also ATRAC works the best if you keep a steady throttle of 2-2.5k. It can heat up and start beeping after 10sh seconds and briefly turn off but if that happens put the vehicle into reverse and back up slightly and it'll reset. I learned that stuff from the ih8mud forums.
Hello there from Bahrain, I just wanna share my opinion publicly that I have the same thoughts, I am committed to buy lan cruiser with inline 6, as we get the here in the gulf with two types of engines, as inline 6 comes part time all wheels drive
I just got a 2001 model and need to do the same test off road to see if it works or not. What worried me is when turning the key to ACC, many of the dash lights light up but no orange VSC light and no green ATrac light are present. But maybe that is normal for only a subset of all dash lights to flash when turning the key.?
@@greydog1104 try to get a wheel off the ground and see if atrac works The only reason mine wasn’t working is because the dash was partially plugged in Other wise it should be good
- plug in dash. Wow hard to believe that fix is it. I got a 2002 Toyota Sequoia I think ATRAC. got a UA-cam video the first off-road video I made. nice Land cruiser. The year before yours had locker's. Some people say they tracks better Sunday it'll say the lockers are better? Not sure? Blanca's are also has those nice windows in the back that pop out pretty convenient. You also don't have the stupid hatch of the Sequoia that always breaks.

So glad I went with a 99. Seems like everyone wants to revert back to the hvac systems from the early models as well. The navs seem to crap out.

So you can tell of A-Track is working by the blinking lights in the dash too ?
You can tell when it’s working by the barrel of hammer sounds coming from the front. Wife’s 4Runner has the same system.
The 2010 Toyota Prius will only make it to this mileage if the head gasket gets replaced

The dash oil pressure gauge is reference only at best.
Before dash was seated properly it read 1/4, now it’s snugged up and bolted down well and reads 1/2 or over slightly consistently

Very cool, yeah I got a 4wd sequoia too but my Atrac doesn’t work lol - the hatch latch always breaks haha
