    The only other “hate” would be the AC controls that are part of the touch screen. Much prefer dials. Otherwise the LC200 is brilliant…love it

      A negative is turning circle. Inside set is appalling compared to a Disco. Disco tows better.

    Fun video! I also moved from a J120 Prado (in a high petrol cost country) to a LC 200 full fat Landcruiser (in a low petrol cost country. The LC200 renders my old Gwagon old S-class Mercedes redundant. LC200 out aces them in every way.

    I bought my 2014 200 series about 2.5 years ago. It was a soccer mom/grocery getter with 117k US hwy miles. I baselined the truck and built it up for overlanding and rock crawling. It is a beast and I love it. I will never sell the rig.

      They're a beast hey! I couldn't imagine ever selling mine or buying a different model of car.
      Enjoy bud!

    Great Vid. We have a 2015 LC200 with a Manta exhaust, remap, lockup kit and we average 12.6L/100. Unreal car!

    The 200 series land cruiser is the Lionel Messi of vehicle. It may sound cheesy but I will say it. It’s the greatest vehicle ever made. V8 an engine that last for 400,000 miles extremely luxurious, the most dependable, reliable hand built car ever made. It’s enormous seats eight has incredible off-road capabilities and will last for 25 years. Again the Lionel Messi vehicles.

    Thanks for the video. I love my 200 and wouldn’t part with it for anything too. Would like to know where you got you side scrub protection from.

    • @offroadcrusader
      @offroadcrusader  2 місяці тому

      Hi mate, thanks for the comment!
      The scrub bars are from ARB, but if you mean the graphics panels on the side of the car, they are from Bushbarrier 4x4. They are large magnetic panels that stick to the side of the car, and you can get a variety of different designs printed on them.

    Great video mate. I'm currently looking to buy a 200 and saw a '13 VX petrol that is well looked after. The diesels are scarce and way more expensive in our country. How do you rate the sound system in your VX?

    • @offroadcrusader
      @offroadcrusader  2 місяці тому +1

      Hey mate, yeah the sound system is great, I'm pretty happy with it. Some higher output front speakers would be good and maybe a bit more bass, but for a factory system its very good.

    Question, I have a 2024 suzuki jimny coming soon and am considering the Fallen at3w vs the new at4w. I live in Cozumel so lots of pot holes and patches in the roads. Which do you recommend and also is there another tire you think would be better for here?

    • @offroadcrusader
      @offroadcrusader  2 місяці тому

      Hey there,
      The Nitto tyres are probably my number one pick right now. Very durable, no chipping, last a long time regardless of punishment, and not that expensive.
      Maxxis are good, but mine wore really fast.
      Falken Wildpeak or the Bridgestone Dueler D697s are good too.

    I have one, I adore it but I'm very strict on weight because of the fuel economy. I'm getting 10.3 to 12 per 100 with a clamshell and stock body. Best highway car.

    The split tail gate is sadly and sorely missed on the 300 :(

    Nice wheels . Details ? My VX needs some . 😊Ps Re head unit I’ve been talking to guys from Vhedia and they are trying desperately to get one that works . You would know about the complexities of the existing one . Toyota didn’t make it easy .🤔

      Cheers mate!
      I have ROH Trophy alloy rims. 17x9 +35 offset. 295/70/17 Nitto Trail Grappler MTs.
      Yeah there isn't many options that seem reliable with all the climate controls integrated into it. Fingers crossed Vhedia can sort something out.

    How did you choose which 200 to buy ?

    • @offroadcrusader
      @offroadcrusader  7 годин тому +1

      I always loved the facelift on these (2015+) and I knew I wanted the digital dash but I didn't want all the radar safety stuff that comes with a Sahara, so a VX was the go!

    I think you are significatly under estimating how much weight you have on the roof, not that it matters with the 200kg limit. But id guess ite more like 130kg

    • @cjwest9094
      @cjwest9094 Місяць тому

      Is the 200kg static rating? IE should actually be 100 for normal driving and 50 for off-road..

  • @michaelhermans4753

    Would you upgrade to the 300 one day

    • @offroadcrusader
      @offroadcrusader  Місяць тому +1

      I think maybe. The 300 keeps impressing me and they are super nice to drive. But I still don't think, they are a better 4WD than the 200 series, and I am a sucker for the twin turbo V8 haha.

    I have a 2016 gxl my biggest dislike about it is the factory headunit its terrible & no steering wheel controls. Other than that its a fantastic car.

    • @offroadcrusader
      @offroadcrusader  2 місяці тому +1

      I agree, even the VX head unit could do with an upgrade. This is my first car with steering wheel controls and I'm surprised I like them as much as I do!

    Nice video!
    You are spot on when you mention the look of it, I like the 200 so much I get exited every time I see one on the road!!!😊
    Personally I prefer my GX model barn doors for the cargo area easier accessibility but that’s me.
    Also I intentionally declined the Toyota offer for 2016 face lift in favour of the 2015 non PDF model 😏
    Seriously this cars are absolutely fantastic and very hard to match even by their successor the 300!

    • @vunye

      Strongly agree, i own a pre facelift as well, but everytime am on the road, and a 200 passes by, my eyes can't help but keep looking untill it disappears 🥰

    Worried about insurance then has tinted brake lights 😂

    • @offroadcrusader
      @offroadcrusader  2 місяці тому +1

      In WA it is completely legal to tint your headlights and tail lights. Different rules in different states though. But my tail lights are a full replacement with ADR compliance, so I'm not concerned about them at all.
