"Look at him. That's my brother god damn it!"
Still gets me teary eyed when he says that
I know right
Kurts a damn legend
Same.
This movie is 32 years old.... mind-boggling!
The effects are phenomenal, the score too!
Yes especially in hd, my wife watched it for the first time a few months ago when she was looking for something on Netflix and she asked if it was good, I told her for a movie that came out in 91 it has some of the best fire scenes you’re going to see
There will never be a movie like Backdraft for the fire service again it was one of a kind!!!
Totally awesome !!!
One of the only movies that will make a grown man cry
You got that right.
TRUE
AMEN
This one and Ladder 49
this and terminator 2 for me
This movie doesn't get ANYWHERE NEAR the credit it deserves!
One of the most powerful firefighter movies ive ever seen.
Practically having to face your own surrogate father who lived because your own died saving his life… damn powerful scene
😢
The hose clanging off the bars has literally freaked me out since the first time I watch it
For 1991 the best fire effects, could still count
Steven...Nooooo... Let Me Go Bull.. You Go We Gooo.. omg 😲 my favorite movie of all time ive been addicted since I was 3 yrs old when I begged my dad to buy at the Video Stars on VHS 📼 😭
This is the most dramatic and american movie I have ever seen
American history X ?
I've done firefighting training with the Navy; even behind plexiglass, a wild hose is scary as hell. The safe way to regain control is to put a Z-kink in the line and then pull the nozzle to you.
I'll never forget seeing this movie and then going to Universal studios to see the display. so much fun. great movie.
2:26 That look in his eyes, I think this was the moment he knew they weren’t getting out of the fire alive
2:29
Axe 🪓: Let me go, Bull!
Stephen: You go, we go.
Brian: Stephen!
GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE IN HISTORY.
I would agree my personal favorite
You go, we go. Always loved that.
its the brotherhood... many firemen have this view.
Black Widow: “Let me go!”
Bull McCaffrey: “You go, we go!”
Please send like to watch it!
Shit was tough
When the serial killer you were chasing after is your surrogate father, that's almost like "I am your father" moment from "Star Wars".
The score by Hans Zimmer is so operatic in this. Especially the part beginning from 02:48.
totally agree, a beautiful score. i love the exact part you mention, and the part in the fire truck at the end
Aw man that movie was awesome!
Fyi…fire is a living thing, the only way to kill it, is to love it!
Senior Firefighter *JOHN* "AXE" *ADCOX* is the secondary antagonist.
He had good intentions for the department but they were very illegal he couldn’t stand swayzaks bullshit
@@willplayzgamezhd5431 He was an idiot, if he put his ego aside and listened to Brian on the roof, given what he already knew and what he was learning from Brian. If he truly cared about getting back at Swayzak he would have been with Brian and Shadow during the final scenes when they confronted Swayzak, after Stephen died. And if he had listened they would have left the roof and Stephen would have lived..
You go we go!
Let me go bull you go we go . My cousins husband looks like Kurt Russell from this movie and everytime I see him I say hey bull .
I love this movie
Same here one of my all time favorites and the fact that Hans Zimmer did the Music is amazing makes it %1000 times better because Hanz is the best
Fun fact; when Axe is dangling over the fire before being let go, Scott Glenn was wearing three pairs of Nomex underwear. Shooting lasted too long though and he actually caught slightly on fire when it burnt through the material and he had to be put out by the crew.
2:39 that moment right there... Axe realizing far too late he's dragging Stephen down with him. For all the years they worked together, it destroys him.
Nightengale loat gis firefighting helmet when he went to evacuate Stephen with Pengelly too
Well, I now know where Iron Chef got their music from
YOU GO! WE GO!
He lost the line. That's why truckies don't carry hoses. Lol. I'm just funnin...
1:01 firemen deserve firemen, sir.
Not one drop of AFFF used here.
I just couldn't let it go, Bull.
6:08
Mib can i get brownie points on that quote " you go , we go"
M
Lord, I think you were a Little hard on the beaver. ....now
Here's mel Gibson, look it up people agents... In land of Christ our God
Bravo 👏
*you Go We Go*
That’s my brother ✊🏻
The animal looked at him
Question how the hell was bull able to hold on to axe and that bar for so long? Pls respond
"Movies for guys who like movies"
Scott Glenns character started the fires which means he's responsible for the loss of life in them including his and Stephen played by Kurt, no way does he deserve that firefighter funeral
Just have a complaint about that scene lol thought they just stand around did nothing oh mean they were standing around talking.
The only movie with real fire used no cheep cgi
what is name ?
Name of the film is Back Draft 1991
2:30 2:34 6:09
Firefighter f.d.18
Best game ever
Straight streamin', not AFFF'n like you should. You're lucky that barrel of flammables didn't blow the brass off your hand line! Now me and the mad scientist gotta rip apart the crime scene, and replace the people you fried
I just couldn't let her go bull john let me go bull stephen you go we go 30 years since ron Howard should've won an oscar
😂 i wouldn't have let that man disrespect me and threw him in that fire 🔥 😤
What did Stephen hurt himself on?
I think he gets badly cut from a pipe during the fall.
@@gnosticcinema9596Looks like it hit him in the spleen, which means he pretty much bled out before they could get to the hospital.
He broke his ribs falling on the Scaffolding
Firefighters 🚒👨🏼🚒🧑🏽🚒
No way a real firefighter would be helmet less or mask less in a fire like that. Not to mention, they both be having huge oxygen deprivation problems lol. I know its a movie, but still Ron left a lot of unreal things in Backdraft. Which is why years later when I would watch Ladder 49 and compare it to this, Ladder 49 was more realistic in small things like this.
No one cares. This movie has a better cast, plot, score drama etc. It's more fun. If you're just after REALISM this movie is not for you.
@@raveouscarlias4479 100% agree lmao...this movie is epic and aint NOBODYYYY talking about Ladder 49 still...L49 is absolutely ABYSMAL compared to Backdraft.
This movie was still ten times better. Wyatt Earp was more accurate but Tombstone was still a greater movie with great performances.
If they wore the masks, the audience would not know which masked figure is Stephen.
It's just sooo bad...like a caricature of a melodrama...pretty much unwatchable today unless you're a 13 yo boy.
This film is garbage.
Dude your garbage
0:07 Wow!🛢️💥🔥
Can these barrels do that IRL?
Easily, if they contain some nasty and dangerous goods. Especially part empty with air inside, enough to support a good fuel-air mix. Hell, even common gasoline or kerosene mixed with enough air can do that.
stupid movie
