  • This is what I ate to lose more than 40 lbs! I’m showing you some of my favorite high-protein healthy meals and snacks that I used to lose weight - these are really simple and easy to make, so they won’t take a lot of time. This is all gluten + dairy free, and I will show you vegan options for the things that aren’t vegan. Everything else is plant-based!

    Yanno, Liezl -- there are so many things I love about you and your videos. One of them is that you CELEBRATE the deliciousness of food. I have no patience for people who view food only as "fuel" and not also as something that is delicious and brings us joy. I also lack patience with "diet" or food influencers who teach especially young girls and women that they should basically starve themselves. You really get it right. You combine truly healthy eating with food appreciation and calorie variations for shorter people (1200-1600) up to taller people who need more calories (1600-1800), like me. It's why your meal prep videos are the only ones I have ever made over and over again -- because it's REAL food, healthy food, and delicious. I never ever feel like I'm trying to "diet" when I use your meal preps. I appreciate you!

    Love these videos so much and also your meal prep ones. I need to make that smoothie immediately but don't have mango or raspberry - but I do have frozen peaches and frozen strawberries so I'm trying that and will report back! :). UPDATE: Yep, can confirm frozen peaches and strawberries, plain coconut yogurt and a tsp of maple syrup is delish!

    I’d suggest cutting the sandwich in half, and def some salt on the tomato! I’ve noticed so many food video creators don’t put salt on veg that normally I would put salt on, like avocado and tomato. I wonder why that is?

      Sure!
      - 1 cup soy milk (I use unsweetened)
      - 1 tsp instant/ freeze dried coffee powder
      - 1/2 tsp maple syrup

    Do you always measure or have you been able to stay consistent with eyeballing it? I think I can eyeball things, but I also know I have a tendency to want to add a little more 😅

    I’m struggling with my weight. I want to lose “only” 5kg, but I am eating too much and I find it so hard to control myself. I hope I can find motivation with your books and recipes

      I find that if you're struggling with eating too much, then having multiple snacks throughout the day helps like I have in this video. Also making sure your meals have some protein, fats and fiber to keep you fuller. And also set times you eat your meals + snacks helps too!

      How do you know if you need 1200 or 1800 call a day?

      @@lorieannebyers8919 you can use an online calculator - just google it - and put in your current weight, goal weight, activity level, age etc.. and it will give you a rough idea of how many calories per day

    Not sure if I missed it but how many calories is each meal? I
    t’s been very hard figuring out the calorie counting thing. I started last week… some things don’t have calories listed so its hard to know exactly just how many I’m eating everyday. Also had no idea how much we actually eat. It can be overwhelming trying to make sure to log every single food item.

      Usually either Siete cassava flour tortillas, or mission gluten free, or whatever i find at the store that's gluten free

    Love your video. But holy spinach! Super high in oxylates. Bad for growing kidney stones. Once a day is plenty. Just sharing for anyone who has kidney issues
