However after many requests, here it is although I decided to do my own spin on the theme and offer helpful suggestions wherever possible! I've been following your reverse bayalage video for years. I modify it occasionally to do more of a shadow root instead of full bayalage. My hair grows pretty much white so I add a root (or bayalage) to make having white hair look intentional. I use a dark semi permanent blonde. By the time the roots are at the mids and ends the semi permanent color is gone. I've never made a video while doing it though.

I have bleach blond hair that’s in poor shape and breaking. I went and put in a dark blonde box dye that’s a semi permanent and it went dark brown. I’ve been seeing videos about baking soda and 10 developer purple shampoo and dawn dish soap to remove the colour. What’s your opinion on this as my hair is already damaged and I hate the dark brown 😞

I have naturally dark(est) brown hair color with alot of natural gray. I bought the L'oreal box dye S1 Smokey Silver, thinking it would only dye & brighten my natural gray. I started at the top, covered rest of my hair. Now I have this mixture of orange,red & brown at the top part of my hair. From the ears down, you can clearly see the rest of my hair doesn't match. How do I fix this?
Help me! I've gone to 3 professionals and I want the warmth out of my hair. I'm a natural brunette but have previous color. I have 3 or 4 brown hair but the undertones are reddish orange like 6 and 7. Is it hopeless to go ashy?

Oh my my my…I’ve been thinking about adding some lowlights to my bright blonde hair.
This video saved me from a ton of heartache. 😐😳 Now I’m frightened that my hair will either: 1. The lowlights will be a funky shade or 2. I’ll eventually miss my blonde and want to get rid of the lowlights and my hair will fall out my adding more bleach. I’m good lol!!!😁😁😁
I remember seeing a fail that is really common. Putting medium brown hair dye on Blonde hair and the hair turns green. How I would fix it is try and strip back the colour abit then add red to neutralize the green and if needed add a toner at the end to get the desired shade of brown. How would you correct this fail? 💖

I hate toners! Always make my hair dark and grey so I never do them anymore! Just highlights and leave the salon before they start ruining it haha
So true!! Before they started systematically putting toners I'd get very blond highlights and when I complain they say, "but we can put lighter toner next time" .. Then next time , same things happens and they say "But no toner is lighter than the "blue powder" and in fact , the toner even the lightest is always darker than the bleached blonde streak. :D
U just haven’t had any good toner formula lol

You didn’t realize these things were happening to people? Where have you been? I just got my second botch job of a hair cut in 18 months. BOTH from upscale salons and “experienced” stylists, one being the salon owner himself? Both set me back 2 years each on getting my length where I want it. These are not my first bad experiences. Most stylists these days are awful because they do not understand the art of hair cutting or coloring and they learn under the wrong schools and trainers. Sad, but the industry poorly teaches people the correct ways to cut hair and does not teach what NOT to do.
Dude! Sylvia is in her own happy corner of the hair world, she never claimed to be the master and orchestrator of all hair happenings throughout the universe! She's just giving her humble expert opinion, take it or leave it!
She acts so surprised this stuff goes on. It’s everywhere. She needs to be made aware of the stylists out there in mass proportions that do not know what they are doing. It’s a problem.
Of course I had seen horror hair situations in person with new clients in the salon. What I meant was that there was footage of people ruining their hair sometimes over and over in one day.

I wish I could have showed you my "destroyed hair" :( I went to the hairdresser for a balayage on my own hair color "dark blond" and maybe covering some slightly grey... I ended up with orange hair with a few thick white stripes!! 🥲 I've been watching your video's and trying to get enough courage to fix it myself
