Kheema with Goan Green Masala | Minced Meat Recipe

- A Goan-style Kheema to try this weekend! Deliciously cooked with a vibrant Goan green curry paste, it will awaken your taste buds and take them to newer heights :)
Try this with pav for best results! Mog Asum ❤️
Ingredients:
For the Green Paste:
1 Cup fresh Coriander
1/4 Cup Mint leave
6 Cloves
12 Black Peppercorns
1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
5-6 Garlic cloves
1" piece of Ginger
4-6 Green Chillies
Little Water to grind to a fine paste
For the Kheema:
1/2 Kg Minced Meat (Beef/Mutton/Lamb)
1 teaspoon Salt
Juice of 1/2 a Lime
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
2 Tablespoons Oil
2 large Onions, finely chopped
1 large Potato, diced
1/4 Cup Tamarind Juice
1/2 Cup (or more) Water
1/4 Cup frozen Peas (can also use fresh, but add with potatoes)
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnish

Tried this recipe after 2 months and still the taste and is just mouth watering my whole family enjoyed it.

Interesting idea to use the masala for a Bombil curry. I shall consider your suggestion for the liver and gizzard recipe- honestly I have not tried anything, so I will need to experiment first.

The mince kheema looks great but is it chicken,mutton or beef v can use the fir any of this 3 products.

Yes, lemon juice can be substituted but it may not give the same flavour as tamarind. Another tip is to use tomatoes since they provide a bit of sourness. Once the onions are translucent add a chopped tomato and fry till pulpy. Hope you find this useful :)

I haven't tried cooking this with chicken mince, but surely it will work. Make sure they chicken doesn't clump up; also, chicken would take less time to cook in comparison.

Mutton Keema is my comfort food... will try your recipe without the potatoes... actually will make it with the potatoes and then fish them out and make paratha with them..can't eat keema with potatoes in it ...peas always welcome..thanks...I may substitute kokum for the imli..make it more goan... thank you once again... Recipe is excellent, but the type of beef we get in goa is a not very good quality, it takes much longer to cook then as shown in the video
