    @Jamie Oliver the salad looks fabulous. A question though - can you share with us please what you put in the tahini to get it to that runny consistency or is that the consistency when you purchase it in the UK? is it lemon juice and water? As someone with a Middle Eastern background (I'm Australian), the traditional tahini we get is much, much thicker and darker than the one you showed.

    • @karyldavidkidd7111
      @karyldavidkidd7111 Рік тому +1

      I'm obviously not Jamie, but will get you some brand names of tahini that are like the type he uses here. I have a similar style at home. Apologies as I cannot recall the brand. When I go shopping on Saturday I will take a pic of four I know to be of this consistancy and post them for you. I am in Canada and I believe the brands I get are available globally.
      Be well

    This is amazing - made a variation last night for a full meal by adding a small chicken breast with the carrots. Used mayo rather than yoghurt to keep dairy free.

    @Jamie How come your tahini is so runny? Mine is thicker and has a lot of oil on the top. It's generally thicker than peanut butter.

    just because it has carrots in it doesn't make it a salad, Jamie! it's a regular dish - rice with carrots. perhaps if you added some greens and more raw or at least roasted vegetables...

    well done Jamie - I miss your little dude assistant - and just in passing - you do realize that a significant portion of the world still uses Fahrenheit - right?

    • @Diana-qp2rw
      @Diana-qp2rw Рік тому

      Most people use Celsius, as does Jamie as a British person. The rest of the world has no problem converting Fahrenheit to Celsius when they watch cooking videos, I’m sure Americans can to it the other way around 😉 It’s super easy and you can even use google if you don’t want to do the math.

    • @nopahrefa4466
      @nopahrefa4466 Рік тому +1

      just in passing, you do realise you can learn the conversions - right?
      also, just in passing - whilst 4% of the global population is a fair chunk, you do realise it is SIGNIFICANTLY less than the 96% that uses celsius - right?

    • @JamesJoyce12
      @JamesJoyce12 Рік тому

      @@nopahrefa4466 lol... seriously dude or whatever - the people in question speak English and watch British cooking shows - so what % of the English speaking population who watched British cooking shows still use Fahrenheit is what you should be asking - just in passing - you can thank me for your elucidation later.

    • @nopahrefa4466
      @nopahrefa4466 Рік тому

      @@JamesJoyce12 cool, so 10% of the native anglosphere, a drop in the ocean to the celsius folks - but hey, I know americans don't understand the concept of multilingualism, so that's vastly underestimating the number of people who speak english and use celsius. I wish you the best of luck on your discovery of a world that isn't just the US. Have a good one!

    Tahynah (NOT tahini) is not supposed to be used like this, you should either mix it with water & lemon (Tartoor), or with yogurt (also called Tahynah). You never use plain Tahinah.
    Tartoor recipie /watch?v=dR5mE9oQgUU
    For Tahynah with yogurt you just make Tartoor and then add yogurt to it

    Does anyone else remember when Jamie didn't make every recipe of every episode of every new series solely about strictly healthy meals? I'm not saying his commitment to trying to improve the health of others isn't commendable. But, it's becoming very repetitive. It's at the point where I can easily guess two thirds of all the ingredients that will appear in an episode because he keeps making variations of the same boring"healthy" dishes. And then seeing people call these recipes "amazing"... really? You're all amazed at how predictable and boring his shows have become? His predictability is, surely, partly why his restaurant ventures keep failing
