Love the pink and the variegated Mendozae , they are so lovely! I also started with two small ones came with an arrangement I bought, now I have a big pot after one and a half years, this is one of the first succulents I got. Thank you for sharing, Liz!😍
Another excellent video. It reminds me of medical school when we were given case studies and were pointed out the subtle differences. It just makes one confident to try n grow mendozae. Thanku🤞🏻🤗
Thank you! I'm getting one of these in just a few days and yesterday I was looking around your channel to see of you had any videos on this plant, it's perfect you just uploaded one, it will be very helpful once I get my cutting! :D
Good timing Liz, I’ve recently brought the Mendoze , a small plant and have got some propagations started from the plant. You have some amazing specimens of the mendoze . A very helpful video indeed . Cheers Marg ⭐️☀️🪴
Liz, thanks for the video, and can I ask what kind of soil that you are using for your bonsai version succulents? And how often do you water the bonsai version, if the area is drought all the time?!
I used my Master Soil mix. If there's a drought, I would water them when the soil dries. No specific time as it's all dependent on the season, position, the pot, soil, etc. The two small ones in the pot I last watered 4 months ago. I soak the whole pot and placed it back where it is. Since then, it's just dependent on the rain.
Damn that intro was priceless. "A normal standard sized thumb" in ya dreams luv that thumb is massive lol... Next week, big smile. these teeth, normal sized teeth I'm no Sarah Jessica Parker holds up H. truncata
miss Liz kailangan kopo bang paghiwalayin yung mga assorted na succulent that I got from Costco? they are in an arrangement... I have Shreks ears and string of dolphins in it and some other kinds thanks po
Shrek's ears needs minimal water. Dolphins loves water(lol). If you have Echeveria or sedum in it as well, these two plants have varying water requirements. You can leave them there for a while and let the soil dry up and soak them overnight the next time you water, otherwise, I would plant them separately with plants of similar needs.
I am a bit confused why the 2 examples of the standard form look so different.I bought a clump from a grower half of which looks like your one from part sun whilst the other half looks like your one from full sun.
The one from the part sun are still young plants whilst the other pink full sun is a much older plant. Both forms will eventually look the same as they mature.
The rate of growth in your area is insane! I am very jealous lol.

This is one of my favorites when it comes to propagation. So easy to reproduce. Was able to produce two other big pots from leaves and cuttings.😍
The thumb saga should continue

@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK thanks po nahilig napo ako sa succulent dahil sa inyo and thanks for always replying. Ingat po kayo maraming salamat po
How do you keep them so pink? Mine stays green even though I rarely water them and I keep them under a strong grow light for 16 hours a day
Not sure but I think they go pink as they age?
Maybe they need a weather shock but mine has always been in full sun so it’s always had a pink tinge to it.
I had some growing indoors under a grow light and did not get the same coloring as the ones grown in full sun.
