- Graptopetalum superbum, formerly known as G pentandrum subspecies superbum, is a magnificent succulent that lives up to its name.
Superbum, in Latin, means superior, distinguished, excellent or superb. The colour, the shape and overall look is exquisite.
This succulent plant is native to Mexico and quite easy to look after, if you have the right climate and are aware of what it likes.
In this video we'll have a look at everything there is to know about superbum including care requirements such as best position, watering and water tolerance.
We'll also cover propagation methods (seed, cuttings and leaf) as well as pests, diseases and it's toxicity. All of the plants in this video have been grown in my nursery Fern Farm Plants.

Thank you. I have only the G. paraguayense which grows with little care in pots or in the garden and no pest issues unlike the mealybug problems that I have with Echeverias unfortunately. What is the name of the small blue succulent at 5.40m? Thx
I LOVE G paraguayense 😍- it is one of the hardiest succulents i know and i always use it as an example when talking about easy/beginner succulents 🙂 And yes, you're definitely right- many Echeveria are massive mealybug magnets 🙄 The little plant at 5:40 is Kalanchoe eriophylla 'Snow White Panda' i did a profile vid on it last week 🙂
I have a question... i recently have a new suculent and hawthorne plant i buyed...5 days already and they are tiny in a small pot.. i didnt water them since here is winter cold season.. at what time ill report them? Plss i need your help.. thank you

Congrats on your new plant 🙂 You won't need to water too much during the cold season, but when the soil is completely dry in the pot i would give it some water. If it's tiny, it can still dry out. Water the roots only for now. If you want i have a video on a Haworthia cymbiformis- most Haworthia have very similar care requirements. Also, if the plant is inside, put it in a spot where there's lots of light. Hope this helps.

@@SucculentGrowingTips ok thank you so much.. i look on the video.. yeah until now im waiting for the sun to come out. We have a 5 day straight rain here.. but i recently water then bec the soil dry out.. but i want to repot them maybe when the soil is conplety dry right?
