    Great tips! I follow a lot of these too, I don’t restrict either. One other tip I would add is to remember that one high calorie meal was not the reason I was 70 pounds heavier, so the occasional splurge meal is not going to make or break my weight loss. It’s the day to day habits that matter the most. Also, when using the Lose It app I look at my weekly overall so if I go over a bit one day the other days tend to even it out. Knowing that helps me sane and allows me to enjoy food and enjoy my life while losing weight! This mindset has been a game changer for me (over the all or nothing diet mindset of my past).

    Eating out isn't a problem for me, I just don't care too much for it.
    I much prefer eating at home, I enjoy cooking our meals.
    Nothing wrong with eating out, it's just not our thing. 🙂
    We do go to family and friends get togethers, that's always fun.
    I am asked to bring food, which is nice, always happy to share!
    Your tips are good and helpful.
    My friends, who are on WW do use some of your tips.
    They, like you, are doing wonderful with their weight loss.

    Hi Jenn, you are my new weight watchers meeting lol !! I have done weight watchers for over 20 years off and on and like you, I felt I could not stay in the point range. I was constantly hungry. I like that you show calories and points because it’s interesting to see how little you can eat sometimes with the points so much that you’re not getting enough calories. I always felt hungry and could never stay in the points range. I felt I was being punished if I made one bad Choice it ruined it for the whole day and I’m an all or nothing person so I guess that’s why it never really worked for me. I would throw in the towel for the day because I went over my points when really it was because I was starving. I love seeing your favorite things that you like and trying new food items. I love that you give discounts with each one, and I am ready to maybe get my macros done with you and see exactly what I should be eating. I keep thinking that if I eat 1200 cal a day that I will lose weight but it is so hard to stick to because I don’t think it’s enough for the size I am and I am just confused because when I do eat 1600 cal a day I tend to gain weight so I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. Maybe it’s not getting enough protein? I would love to see what she could do to help me And not be afraid to eat more calories today and see what happens

    I love pasta so now instead of over eating it. I’ve been having a portion of my pasta, protein and sauce and putting it with a huge bowl of veggies. This week it’s been green beans! Or even putting my pasta on top of the veggies!

    I take my own reusable, environmentally friendly “to go box” with me everywhere in a small, soft sided cooler. I am always told how smart that is. I’ve been doing this for years. The leftovers go straight from fridge to microwave later. Pro tip: take a small container with you for sauces.

    You are talking my love language...Pizza, burger and fries! I have swapped regular fries for sweet potato fries. I'm not sure if that is much on an improvement but I feel good about the choice. I never thought about eating the toppings only on the second slice of pizza. I haven't had a good slice of pizza in such a long time. I need to rectify that soon and using your tip gives me the liberty to actually enjoy it. I love your videos, tips, and tricks. Keep up the great work!

    Thank you for your tips! I'm going to try the pizza one and hamburger one. That's a great idea, if you want more pizza just eat the toppings from the other slice(s). Take the hamburger off the bun and have your fries.

    I do most of these, too. I am Lifetimer about 10 lbs under goal. I also order kid's meal sometimes. I pretrack, as well. However, once I pretracked, and the menu item had been taken off the menu. I just rolled with it and ordered something else. Flexibility is key for my food choices. I enjoy salmon and veggies and order without butter. I enjoy it that way. I eat out about 3 to 4 times a week. I have fave places that I visit. It is all doable. Good topic!

    I swap the refried beans with whole beans (pinto) because I don't have to count whole beans, but refried beans aren't as good for you. I don't track salsa, and i dont order the sour cream or cheese that comes with the food-but i do eat the lettuce and tomato. I also get my burger protein style but i don't get sauce on it, or i get the sauce on the side.

    When I go out to eat and the meal comes with a side salad I get dressing on the side and dip the tip of my fork in the dressing if I get an entree salad I order everything to be put on the side so I can control how much of what is in the salad.

    I employ most of your eating out tips, although I will add ordering first; I'm notorious for going last so I can hear what everyone else is eating For mexican I make a swap of whole beans for the refried as they tend to be less fat and calories and I enjoy the texture better as most mexican restaurants puree their beans too smoothly for my liking. I like a little texture to my food. Great video and solid tips, Jenn.

    Thanks Jenn! We are getting Mexican food tonight 😋 I typically choose the fajitas and only use one tortilla instead of the 3. Also for fast food I'll do the power bowl at tbell, Ill get a beef and cheddar at Arby's no red sauce and add let Tom onions to make it more filling no side. The Wendy's chicken sandwich is low point.

    Very helpful and enjoyable video. Just a couple questions. Do you ever have a margarita (or share one) at the Mexican restaurant and/or will you have any alcohol at a party? If you do feel like you splurged too much or went overboard eating out, do you cut back a bit on calories the next day? Not to "punish" yourself, but rather to compensate? I try to balance it out by eating less carbs the following day.
